Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 2/18

Good evening ladies,

This morning’s scheduled workout was FS Mixed Impact Cardio and Xtrain Bis and Tris. I decided to change up the mixed impact and add some fun so I did it on my rebounder. :). I of course needed to modify a few moves but all and all it was more fun! I also did a BBS dance bounce that really worked my legs. 82 mins / 750 cal. Seems like a really high calorie burn...I was surprised at how high actually. Oh well! The correct bungees for my rebounder finally arrived yesterday so I put them on this morning. I am very happy! I love them. :)

Deb...yes, take it easy as long as you need too.

Diane Sue...great workout. I am looking forward to the Tabata legs. I am not sure when it will ship. I think it mentioned sometime in March. Enjoy the birthday celebrations with your family.

Carolyn...glad your back is better. I love light weights and hi reps. It has been amazing for my upper body! Sometimes my arms are so exhausted after a BBS upper workout. Exhausted but love it!

Valerie...wow 8,000 calories! I cannot fathom this!!!! So sad about your sister. You can only do so much. Hoping your brother is out soon and on the mend. Perhaps he will take better care of himself?

Today I started with Fit Split Mixed Impact cardio, no warm up, 25 minutes, 179 calories, met 6.5, heart rate 142, average 186, 2,535, I skipped the stretch. I then did Fit Split single sets Pull and single sets Push, 21 minutes,( I did not do the warm up or lower and just the stretch of push), 105 calories, met 4.5. I went on to I finished off with the extended stretch from STS, 15 minutes, 41 calories. 94 minutes, 482 calories.

Deb, it would be hard to plan workouts with worrying about your friend and not knowing what you are going to be doing right now. I hope things improve.

Valerie, that is too bad that your sister and brother do not get along well. Maybe they could be help for each other. I do not know how your sister does anything without some knowledge of technology. How does she handle Medicare? It seems everything requires a computer these days, or lots of time on the phone trying to make things work which can be a real nightmare. Neglecting your own healthcare and spending money on cleaning the dogs teeth is ridiculous. In all honesty, I have never had to have my dogs teeth cleaned. I give them plenty of things to chew on and have had the vet mention what good shape their teeth were in. I never heard of doing more than brushing before till recently. Once someone gets them self in the position your sister is in, they find it near impossible to pull themselves back out of it. They seem to give up and continue making the same bad choices which does not help them out.

Carolyn, I think everyone's bodies would operate much better if they just ate real food. A lot of the Paleo recipes that are deserts or sweet like a bbq sauce use applesauce, dates, figs, and even peach puree. I made a bbq sauce once that was really pretty good without all of the junk that is in store bought. I had to go to Sprouts again today and they only had the brownie Bullet Proof collagen bars. Someone had set the empty short bread box back in there. I had set it on it's side in hopes they would replace it. I put it on it's side again :) I really wanted a short bread one :) Maybe brownie is good, but I don't really love brownies, so the idea is not appealing to me. I came home and had some yogurt with a packet of protein powder instead of a protein bar of sorts. I got a plain Chobani yogurt for 99 cents on sale and got 1.59 back rebate through my ibotta app :) I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. I am not sure how weight watchers points work. I don't think I would enjoy doing that. I get annoyed enough when I try to keep my macros in a certain range.

Lori, I bet the new bungees made the workout so much more enjoyable :) Great calorie burn. I used my rebounder for some of the stuff on Mixed Impact today, and when there were pauses and at the end, I had to add some more bouncing :)
