Today I did Raw Ignite Your Metabolism, 35 minutes, 159 calories, heart rate 119/153, 1,537 steps. I finished with CDorner Morning Mobility Flow Day 19, 13 minutes. Total time was 48 minutes, 172 calories. I have been kind of rushed the last couple of mornings. I was not fond of this workout. Too much jumping. Kelly does say you can do it without the step, on one move she says you could use a rebounder if that is more comfortable. She encourages the jumping to build muscle and help joints. I did the option on the boxing portions to use 2# dumbbells as she says it is a good place to add egg weights. My knee hurt when I was done and I did modify a bit. I hate jumping off of the step so do not do it. Too much force IMO for old joints and arthritis.
I am picking up two of my younger grandchildren tomorrow to spend the night with us. It will be fun.
Cathe, great job on Live Mixed Impact Cardio Express and STS 2 Core plus flower and chair yoga. The turtle drop looks more interesting. Looking at the Trek through the snow and lanterns looks pretty, but like I would be freezing. I seriously can never bundle up enough and not be cold. Just looking at the crowds already waiting for the ball drop makes me wince. I hope they stay safe. I would like to be the one that sleeps through alarms and noise, but I guess some of us need to be able to wake up and wake the one that wants to be work up. I would say maybe it is guys in general that can sleep through about anything, but then my husband doesn't we both have a hard time sleeping. I understand his though because he is trying to sleep during the day and no amount of black out curtains and all doors shut helps. I have such a habit of burning myself in the kitchen that I have had my children suggest I keep an aloe vera plant handy.
Valerie, I don't think we will have a lot of booms, but there will probably be a few. 4th of July is the one that is crazy with us on the edge between two cities and one allows fireworks sales in town. It is rough on people who have pets. My dog is okay if she can go in my room when I go to bed and lie by the bed. She does that with thunder or anything at night like that. I guess my husband and I are her safety net in a dark room. Otherwise, if we are watching television she will pace and whine and bark for it to stop. That is too close if you find debris in your yard.
