Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 11/7

This morning I did Perfect Pump Lower Body for 34 minutes and 103 calories burned. My average heart rate was 108 and maximum heart rate was 144. I had a doctors appointment this morning, but Perfect Pump was just the right length for the time that I had for working out.

Judy, great job with 80 minutes of Peloton rides, 4 Day Split Kickboxing warm up, Muscle Meltdown Triceps and Back, and RWH Bonus Abs.

Cathy, great job with Metabolic Core and anything from Tabatacise. Your sister hitting a deer is very scary. I’m glad that she wasn’t injured.

Valerie, the Perfect Pump workouts are great. They accomplish a lot in a short period of time. Our local newspaper just sent us a letter this week to notify subscribers of changes. The print edition will be reduced again with expanded content available online. We get the print paper Thursday through Sunday, but it’s almost not worth it. I read the digital version each morning, but I still like to browse the print paper when I have more time.

Hello to Diane Sue.

No workout today as I was shopping. My sister has spent most of her driving years in areas without too many deer, but there are a lot in the areas around their place in NC. I've hit three in my life, all ended up with damage to the front of the car/van. The last one ran away and I opted not to get the van fixed. That one was just dents and it ripped out my front emblem with it's antlers. More likely to see/hit them where I live in Mid-Michigan than in northern Michigan as there are just way too many. A natural resources plan that went bad and increased the herd well beyond what it should be and managed to tick off farmers and insurance companies alike, but they've never been able to reverse it in the 40 years since.

Carolyn great job with the PP Lower Body workout!

Valerie the situation with your sister sounds so endlessly frustrating. Perfect Pump workouts are really good ones. Short and intense!

My shoulder and neck felt good this morning. I slept well with my wedge pillow set. They help with the shoulder I wish I had more range in my shoulder. I just cannot move it around much without setting off pain. Drying my hair will aggravate it every time and I try to mainly use my left hand and let it air dry part of the way. Raising my arm up to run a brush through hurts. I was worried I would wake in major pain today as I vacuumed, steam mopped and cleaned bathrooms last night. I was surprised when I got up and was not in pain. I did not get on the computer much yesterday. Typing needs to be done in short intervals. So, I spend relax time reading. This morning I did CDorner Intermediate step that she did yesterday. It was easy to eliminate the left arm on with this one. I liked it and music was good. This was 40 minutes, heart rate 133/155, 228 calories, and I think around 3,231 steps, but I forgot to check. I also did 18 minutes of her 28 minute deep stretch which is mostly lower, but I quit as being on my back portion was starting to bother me. I took 6 days off from workouts and get my mri tomorrow morning. I did do a little cardio yesterday and today though. Those 6 days felt much longer. My legs and hips were getting stiff and tight from doing nothing.

This morning I did P30 Low Impact HiiT +the Extended Stretch for 38 minutes and 204 calories burned. My average heart rate was 121 and maximum heart rate was 144.

Diane Sue, I’m glad that you took a few days off from working out. I hope that the MRI starts you on a path to recovery.

Hello to Cathy, Valerie, and Judy. Have a wonderful day everyone.

No workout since I had the mri and then my husband bought me lunch. Tomorrow two of my granddaughters are coming over to peel potatoes and stuff for Sunday as that is when we are doing Thanksgiving. My oldest daughter will come over early Sunday to help prep everything before everyone comes over. They told me if I did not hear back in a week on the mri to call the doctor. He told me he would have his nurse call so I will see. I am not waiting till next Friday as they are only in the office till noon and I am sure they would say they would have someone call and it would end up being the following week. Then if it hit Thanksgiving week I will probably not get a call back. Mri went a bit better today and I got my arm in a more comfortable position, all be it, still hurt and I took Advil and curcumin before I left the house.

a whole lot of rain again today, so did shopping and then a 35 min spin. DH's birthday is tomorrow. trying to get him to say what he would like for dinner, or if he would like a pie or cake but getting nowhere so far. not very much fun since he knows what he's getting. he doesn't like eating out much, so we won't do that.
I'd like to see the movie "Dune" but not on a weekend when it's just been released. we seldom go to theaters but this sounds like an adult sci fi movie where special effects will be worth a theater experience.
we are debating going to MT for a week. its really wet and flooding here and not pleasant for anything outdoor. rain rain and more rain.

I am taking a rest day today. I had my monthly meeting this morning and didn’t feel like rushing through a workout.

Diane Sue, I’m glad that the MRI went well with less pain this time.

Hello to everyone and have a wonderful day.
