Today I wanted a good metabolic workout to burn off some of those carbs so I did X Train Super Cuts, 52 minutes (I added a little extra warm up) 299 calories. I followed this with Flex Train premix 3 (no firewalker, disc chest and lunge) Before the stretch I went back to the chapters and did the lunges with the discs and the firewalker segments. At the end I did not do the push ups with the crunch move. I subbed mountain climbers for the push ups. This was 93 minutes, 538 calories. I went back a bit later (waiting for hot water for a shower) and did Suzanne Bowen's Christmas stretch workout that she sent a password to use. This was 32 minutes. I did not count it in my calories. Our family always calls it stuffing. We never put it in the turkey. We have two adult members that like Stove Top so there is usually a small pan of that and one of scratch made. If I make it it gets celery and onions and broth in it. When everyone else makes it it seems it is just bread crumbs.
I need to try and find an original xbox game system. It seems that is what my grandson wants for Christmas. I have looked at some used ones on Amazon. I worry about getting something that is worn out.
Deb, we always make enough food to feed an army of people. I end up with a lot of left overs. I encouraged family to take their leftover pie home. All but an extra piece of pecan for me

There was 16 of us. Plus my granddaughter's boyfriend came for dessert so that would be 17. The desserts turned out well for my son in law's birthday. I am going to have to work up the calories and macros for the grain free apple pie and the Wild diet gelatin fruit salad (Nan's Dessert) since I have some left. The pie was really good. Not many ate it. I had some take a nibble but most stuck with pumpkin and chocolate which is normal here. I like the pie best heated up though. I froze some of it because it is rich with the nut flour and grassfed butter. I cannot eat all of that that fast. I think it will be okay frozen. The gelatin fruit salad didn't go over so well. I think it was not sweet enough for all of the mashmallow fruit salad family members.
We used to have the Karoke in our "man cave" in our last home. The kids were so loud with it that much of the family of adults headed to the living room. I recently moved it to my workout room. That is upstairs and away from the living room. I did ask them to keep the sound down so they wouldn't drive the parents away. Some of the time they did as I asked but for some reason they would come downstairs with the wireless mikes. It got better when my grandson 16 went upstairs and started singing some of the Christmas music and his they 5 and 8 year old pitched in. Even some of us women at the table playing card started singing along. My grandson came downstairs with the mike and started singing Song Sung Blue which he sang in choir and so I was singing with him. Anyway, it was a fun time. Yes, some of those toys can make you feel a bit crazy talking over the constant noise. Little ones love it.
Judy, that sounds like it would be a good workout. I have Tai Cheng and he uses a loop band while going through the Tai Chi. Those were really helpful when I was rehabilitating my knee. I thought that it was a little silly that each workout was identical and each phase added a bit to the original. It seemed like they did not need to do day one, two three, etc. of the exact same workout. I guess to make it seem worth the money for the set. Once or twice a week sounds like a great idea.
Valerie, I watched my heart rate throughout my metabolic workouts today and it stayed up somewhat even for the short breaks or the less intense segments. I Think part of the point is it keeps the heart rate right in the fat burning zone and when you are done you have used resistance work that gives you returns in increased metabolic rate throughout the day for extra calorie burn. You are right on needing something to keep the bones healthy. Well rounded workout plans with all parts of fitness, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular work together to one healthy. I think the extra tension on the spin bike might build a bit of endurance type muscle. It sure makes my legs burn

I am the same way after cooking a meal. When I smell something cooking for hours I lose my desire to eat it. I don't like waking up in the morning and still smelling it. It tastes better later. I have to go divide up the turkey and ham that is left into smaller freezer containers I just did not feel like smelling it and messing with it last night. I did throw some turkey in a salad for my lunch today though. Mentioning the refrigerator and the stairs makes me wonder how my Dad got his freezer and refrigerator into his basement. He had very steep narrow steps down into the basement. I had been surprised that he had not fell down them stairs instead of the others. He went down there to shower a lot of the time and a lot of his clothes hung in the room where the refrigerator and freezer were. That freezer was in our family when I was 10 and it still worked. There was a low hang over those stairs as well. The had a laundry shoot from above for getting laundry down there. I am guessing my brothers someone else moved the stuff. I have always liked Fleetwood Mac. I replaced the records with cassette tapes and then cd's on those. I should google the refrigerator problem. We have had the problem off and on for several years but it keeps working so we still use it.
Caitlin, Ice surprised me at it's intensity when I finally broke down and purchased it. I am really glad that I did. I bet that you really are looking forward to the new laptop.
Carolyn, nice calorie burn. I used to do the extended version of that one. I tend to forget all of those burpees and plank moves. I did it a few times awhile back when I did a rotation that Cathe had that I think used the Low Impact Series and Ripped with Hiit. I think it was a bit much for me because I started getting some achy joints combining these workouts. I have one called Strong Knees. I had several I used after knee surgery. I think I felt that one was a bit more basic. My favorite was a Yoga Tune Up that used different items and had several workouts on it as you improved and then afterward. I believe it was called Knee Hab or maybe that was one of the segments. I should pull it out and do the after rehab portion. It has moves with a towel like using the gliding discs.
Josie, I too saw your Thanksgiving wishes. Thank You. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving as well.
