Good morning,

No workout yesterday, but I did do an agility class with Kylee so that can count a bit. She was pretty good, so it was a lot of fun. Pretty chilly here yesterday, but the sun was shining and it was a beautiful blue sky.

Lori, that's great that your son will be taking care of Gigi. Not to scare you, but make sure he is very careful at the dog park....especially with a puppy. Not all dogs that go there are friendly...and the owners have no idea how to control them. I know some people really like them, and maybe have had good luck, but I have heard too many awful things that have happened.

Valerie, have you ever tried the regular Outlook program, not the Express version? I think it "behaves" a lot better. That's terrible about your husband's insurance...where is he going through? One of the exchanges offered?

Judy, how is your back feeling?

Diane Sue, I am surprised that your husband does not get some type of health insurance as a veteran.. I am still searching for that information that a local vet always talks about on our local radio talk show station.

Carolyn, those are 2 tough workouts, especially doing both of them!

A workout, maybe a PHAT one, those are always fun. Then lots of laundry and HouseMax...maybe start "buttoning up" the yard/garden. Have to get to it before the snow flies...:)

Take care,

Good morning ladies!

Yesterday was a PowerJump workout. I know you are all very surprised! :). I just love how I feel afterwards and the calorie burn is awesome. 44 minutes/ 445 calories. I then followed up with SB Upper Body and Core. Did not track HR for this one.

Deb...thanks for the warning about the dog park. Never gave that a thought. I will be sure to mention this to my son. Good job Kylee!

Judy...thanks for sharing your bike pictures. Your new bike looks pretty amazing! Hoping your back is better.

Diane Sue...I had no idea there were shorter power jump workouts! Just never noticed. I love that they are crazy fast...in the longer ones the training sections get faster towards the end. Not sure what my highest HR has been because I only get an average on my Apple Watch when I am done which is usually about 145 and this includes warmup and cool down. So it must be up there at some points. I have looked a couple of times during a workout as it shows current HR at 168 then when done it averages. The Jumpsport has bungie cords which I like.

Carolyn...those are tough workouts. When I do them both together I usually do not do a followup after. They are plenty enough.

Valerie...I too feel posting here motivates me and keeps me accountable for my workouts. There is no one I can talk about exercise with other than you ladies. None of my friends and family want to hear about it! They could care less. I love reading about everyone 's workout and how we all try and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Today I need to start organizing for our Florida trip. We leave Saturday on a 5am flight! Yikes!

Hi Everyone,

Friday night I did Jessica Smith's 10 Minute Quick Walk Mix. It's her newest dvd and has six 10 minute segments plus a stretch. Yesterday I took a rest day.

Deb-My back is starting to feel better today. I think I will do an easier workout or stretch today and try to get back to normal workouts tomorrow. It's getting chilly here too. I'm sure we will be seeing snow soon.

Lori-Those PowerJump workouts look intense! I'm going to have to think about getting a rebounder. It looks like they wouldn't take up too much space and would be easy to store.

Valerie-I think you might be right about my bike seat and handlebar positions. I'm going to make some adjustments and see if that helps. Thank you for the suggestions. I agree about this forum, it helps me stay motivated and gives me new ideas about workouts to try. I really enjoy it.

Diane Sue-Schwinn makes a really good spin bike. I use social media for enjoyment and to keep in touch with friends. I try to avoid all the negative things too. I've never put any political posts on my Facebook page. I try to keep it all about family, friends, and fitness.

Carolyn-great job on doing the November rotation. It sounds like a good one. I'm glad I kept my Spinner Sport bike. It's 7 years old, but still in pretty good condition. My husband gave me the Cyclops for a birthday-Christmas gift in 2013.

Josie-I understand why you want a break from social media. I hope you will keep checking in and posting here. I love reading about your rides and your workouts.

Judy

Deb, I mis spoke..this is plain Outlook. it was OE for do long I keep calling it that. things are working OK now but don't understand why I had trouble on so many sites for a day.
generally you get almost nothing for selling used exercise equipment. I'd rather keep the used one, assuming there is room, for backup. when we bought the spin bike, we found only one that seemed middle ground. there were walmart cheapies that we thought wouldn't hold up, and the top-of-the-line models for $3300. Lemond was the only mid range one so we had nothing to compare to. it worked out OK. it works well and holds up to both of using it. very adjustable. solid machine. lots more choices now.

Judy when we first got the spin bike ...I had a very hard time. DH set it to his preferences, and it took me many tries to get it to fit me. when I found what worked, I marked the set spots with a marker so easy to re set it. we fussed with the pedals..he was using clip ins and I was using toe baskets so we had to swap pedals every ride. I tried the clip in shoes both with my road bike and finally the spin bike but gave up on them. they were uncomfortable, and shredded my feet in 30 min. blistered the bottoms of my toes. Josie has those shoes now. I was surprised .... but could not wear hard soled stiff shoes at all. it took several months before I successfully did a spin workout.

we have worn out lots of things, ended up in the landfill. Nordic tracks, treadmills. we have a weight machine that I would love to get rid of, but we would have to disassemble ...it has a weight stack and cables.... best case scenario is sell it at a used equipment place. no way would I have people come to my house to look at it! It never worked well for me. sometimes moves that look fine don't work out to be. I also found I need a "script" to follow when it comes to weights. I don't do well making up my own program. we both use it a little but was not worth the investment. it was not that expensive, but I like free weights way better.

I did total body metabolic again yesterday, plus part of the core workout until DH started yelling for dinner!

Yes, hardly any one else I know exercises at all or tries to eat well. we've encouraged and bribed, but doesn't seem to stick. so yes, this is my place to talk about those topics that mean a lot to me.

Today is my rest day so no workout planned. I had to smile with the mention of old exercise equipment. The Nordic Track ski machine was my first purchase and I am not sure why I bought it. I think it looked interesting. I used it for several years, but it took up so much space that we finally got rid of it. We had an inexpensive stationary bike that we donated. Now we have the spin bike, treadmill, and assortment of smaller pieces of equipment thanks to Cathe's workouts.

Wishing everyone a wonderful afternoon.

Hello to all on Thursday Frank and I went food shopping and the cab had not come for an hour. I then told Frank that I was going to push the cart home. Frank told me that the cart weighed three hundred pounds. I just said I ran the marathon and I was going to do it. He said I would never make it down the.hill
I proved him wrong but it was about a mile and a half. The hill was miserable but I did it. Frank said I would never help him bring the food and stuff up the stairs but I did that too

Today was a rest day and family day. I came home and did outside work and adjusted the treadles on the Tread Climber and tightened them. It will stop if the belts are not right. I noticed that my Fit Bit was picked up on the read out and the Tread Climber showed my heart rate and calorie burn without a strap :) Now I am wanting to do a workout on it. Yesterday was making dog cookies, dog bath, cook up of a Mexican Chicken Chowder from Against all Grain, Paleo Banana bars, roasted asparagus, sugar free lemon cheesecake mousse for my husband, chopping veggies and some other stuff. I went to cut up a cantaloupe and the insides ran out. It did not smell good so I had to toss it. I need to quit buying out of season fruits because I keep finding bad ones.

Deb, the weather here is supposed to remain in the 70's for the next few days. It is nice outside today. I went out and swept up some leaves and stuff before I put out the trash this afternoon. The City came out with an option on the insurance for the retired officers. They are going to pay part of the price increase this year and then it will go up the rest of it next year. This is for the PPO. The HMO does not change it is higher. I am on the fence on changing. PPO is nice for picking your own provider and costs less but there are more substantial deductibles. Plus I have already started stuff with the HMO. I have 1 year left myself before Medicare. There was too big of a cry out by retirees and officers on the insurance increase. So, they sent out a different print out with changes. I am sorry for the misunderstanding, my husband is not military. He is police. He did serve with the military, dressed military, and did everything with them as well as training them, but was with a contractor. He has been to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kosovo. Quite a few years of work. They supplied different insurance for him and we always kept the city insurance. I thought I had explained this before. It has been awhile though. We have been looking at option . There are other programs out there. I have heard them talk about one on the radio that sounds similar to one that my Dad had that was a Christian Businessman Insurance . It took care of a lot as well as the VA. My husband mentioned dropping the city insurance when I start Medicare.

Lorie, from what I have read the bungee cords are even better on the joints. Maybe some day I can get one:) I kept seeing all of these Power Jump workouts that were over an hour and kept scrolling looking for something shorter to try. I would be some of those shorter ones are just portions of what the longer ones are. Most workouts go by the average heart rate for the calorie burn in the end. It is hard to maintain those high end heart rates for long periods of time. Even my calorie calculator uses the average heart rate with length of time, age, fitness level(It did use VO2 max as an option) I think they did away with that. It gives a gross calorie burn and a net calorie burn. I go by the net when I am working on figuring the calorie burns. Sometimes my devices all come out close. Usually with cardio workouts.

Judy, I like my Schwinn bike, but then I have not used anything else to have a comparison. I think that I mentioned that I got it on an Amazon brief sale for 87 dollars. Someone else had spotted it and we all ordered in the group. It is much higher priced now. Mine did have a little crack in the rubber on the handle but it has not been a problem for me and I have not complaints. It was a nice piece of equipment to have when I had my knee surgery. It was some of the first cardio I was able to do getting back into my workouts. I just lean my rebounder up against my spin bike. It has folding legs so can lie flat if I want it too. It also folds in half but it is so hard to get in and out and there are warnings that two people should do it. Once I opened it and did not want to fold it up again. I have flattened it by folding the legs and put it in the back of my Escape to travel with me. It is light and easy to move out of the way.

Valerie, I think if I had to adjust the spin bike when I used it I would not use it very much. It took me awhile to get mind adjusted to my comfort. My fingers get numb and I try not to grip the handles very much and just lay them on at the different positions. It seems odd that it is my hands that are not comfortable. My bike has the toe baskets. We used to have a DP weight machine that fastened to the wall. My husband finally gave it to another officer. I was the one that ended up using it. It was purchased for my husband and son. My Bow flex was sold not long ago at my daughters' . I miss it a little. Mostly for leg curls, extensions, and lat pull downs. I went through times where I would incorporate it a lot and others where it would sit for a long time. Those power rods required plenty of room to pull down and with the bench out it took up a lot more room than the look all folded up. I used the lat tower in place of pull ups on videos and I used some of the settings for things like front squats on STS meso 3 that used the squat rack. I also used it for some moves on the Beast workouts. I like a dvd type workout better myself. We have set things like that out on the curb and someone will generally pick it up. We don't make any money off of it though.

Carolyn, I had one of those Tony Little gliding pieces of equipment once. I don't recall using it much. Also got rid of a recumbent bike that I got from my daughter. A lot of equipment seems to move around amongst the family :)

Caitlin, nice work with the groceries. :)

Good morning,

Yesterday I did Live Push Pull Total Body. A great total body workout, and I think it is harder than the DVD. We polished our old door knocker, one we have been ready to toss because for the last 32 years, we could not get it to look nice. I found something on Pinterest that actually worked! It looks beautiful, I still can't believe it.

Lori, those jumping workouts sure do burn the calories! I hope I didn't sound too negative on the dog park....they really scare me...and a puppy is "fair game" to some older dogs that could be on the aggressive side. It would be good if your son could find one that has segregated areas, one for smaller dogs/puppies and one for bigger dogs. Some of the good ones do that.

Valerie, I agree with all....this has been a great place to learn about new workouts, nutrition and just overall health. I have my cousin that likes to discuss diets and exercise, but not to the depth that we do here. That is really odd that you had those problems for a day with Outlook, or maybe it was the network in your area was having some glitches...its so hard to tell anymore what goes on with technology now a days. I also have a weight bench that is taking up room in my workout area, being used as a clothes hanger and just a place to "dump" stuff. My cousin said she would take it...I can't wait.

Judy, glad your back is better! That JS new DVD sounds good, did you get if from her site?

Carolyn, John had a Nordic Track when they first came out, for some reason, I could never get the hang of it...it felt so awkward. After years of not using it, I read some post on this site that a person lived in the same city and she was looking for a used ski exercise machine...I pm'd her, and told her I was here with one and she was welcome to it...she came the next day and took it...it was great!

Caitlin, that was some feat, pushing that cart all that way! Now do you have to return it to the store? Maybe push it back up the hill for another good workout? :).

Two people passed away this week, an old friend from the dog club, and the brother of one of my old friends from work....it seems like as we grow older, we see more and more people we know in the obituary's...:(

A workout this morning, then some organizing around here, and class tonight...

Take care,

Deb, that is great that the door knocker polished out. I bet you couldn't go out and find the same as a replacement. I have heard a few stories about dog parks. I find it a bit worrisome just on walking dogs through the neighborhood. I saw a man one day with his two dogs walking and trying to get them away from someone's off leash dog that was going after them. I try to do walks when most people would be at work.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I readjusted my seat and handlebars on my cyclops bike and did a 30 minute Spinerval. I felt great afterwards, no back issues or anything. (Thanks Valerie!) My plan is to stick with <45 minute rides for now and get back to more strength training. I'm thinking about doing RWH this week.

Deb-I belong to a Facebook group of people from my HS class (1981). We had a large class, over 700, and we have lost 4 in the past 2 years :(
I got the new JS DVD on Amazon. She had posted about it on Facebook. I think she has another one due out too, but not sure when.

Caitlin-that sounds like a great workout! Pushing a cart uphill would be tough!

Diane Sue-We have a PPO through my husband's work. He has the option to switch but we will stay in the PPO as long as we can. The deductibles and premiums are higher but it is nice to be able to choose who you see and we don't need referrals to see a specialist.

Valerie-I'm going to have to mark where I have my seat and handlebars and see if this position works best. I might have had the handlebars too low and bending over was aggravating my low back. I have clip in pedals on the bike and they seem to work ok for me.

Lori-Are you spending Thanksgiving in Florida? That will be nice if you are.

It was much harder than I thought it would be and I am not pushing it back
I called Wal-Mart and said I had their cart but it It I'd still on the side of our house. That night I went to bed early The next day all my whole body ached
Today I am going to do some step and my upper body

Good Morning,
Today I did ICE Boot Camp Circuit. I varied the number of risers that I used depending on cardio or strength moves. I really like the format of boot camp workouts: cardio, upper body, lower body, and abs.

Deb, I have also felt the loss of friends and acquaintances in our age group. I think it has affected my husband more than me because it makes him more aware of his own mortality.

Hello to everyone. Have a great day.

Judy glad that worked out!. I couldn't believe DH and I needed such different settings. we aren't that different in size. what works for him does NOT work for me. my legs are longer but he sets his seat way higher. he still uses clip ins for his road bike but stopped using them on the spin bike so we don't have to swap pedals all the time.
If your husband doesn't use the spin bike then at least your start point is consistent and you can tweak as needed. when we bought mt bikes, DH went to a 29 inch wheel. too big for me. I'm better on the 27.5 wheel, and a woman specific frame. Trek makes their bikes sized for a smaller frame with a 27.5 wheel. the bikes don't look different but it makes all the difference in the world for riding and steering. doing shorter workouts will probably help too.
clip in shoes were too hard and inflexible, and scraped all the skin off my toes. took a couple weeks for that to heal. they also held my feet in a slightly "off" position and made my knees sore. I fixed the problem by going back to a softer flexible tennie and regular pedals where my feet and knees line up normally for me. Clip ins were a disaster for me ( road bike and spin) although plenty of people out there LOVE them. sounds like you are getting it resolved. My thoughts are .... if it hurts, stop doing it. modify or do something else.

along the lines of how we all are different, Deb we have a weight bench and use it all the time. we sllde it under the cathe fitness tower, but it gets used a lot. Carolyn & Deb, we had several Nordic tracks. we wore them out. probably 3 to 4 of them, and then the company went thru some bad times. the machine itself wasn't that big but you needed a lot of clearance fore and aft for the skis going back and forth. I used to get low back aches from using it. Dh wants to get another for our new house. he always raised the front end of it up but I could not use it that way, and we were frequent out door cross country skiers. the motion was not the same to me. and I don't want to ever see one again.

we also had a Versaclimber we wore out. the issue was it was very tall, and didn't fit ...ceiling wasn't high enough. so we had to back it out to an area of higher ceiling and then the TV was too far away.

all it takes is one jerk to ruin a dog park. I'm always amazed at people who have dogs and don't train them or leash them and expect everyone else to accommodate or watch out for them.
Deb, so rewarding to restore something rather than tossing and replacing.

we finally got the insurance thing deciphered. not quite as bad as expected but about $650 a month. still doesn't cover much until deductible is met.
no workout yesterday. went out for lunch for DH's birthday. started off to meet and realized we had a tire problem, so went back, swapped cars. getting flat fixed this morning. lunch with cousin & wife. always fun with them. this is the cousin we've tried to get going on better diet and exercise but it doesn't stick. he just had cataract surgery on one eye so that's his current excuse. he needs to skip exercise for a week but it's always something. he'll spend money on things but doesn't ever want to do the work.

Caitlin that sounds like a workout. those wheels want to head back downhill

I am waiting for the plumber to return with another faucet for the kitchen. It is always something. He could not fix the one we have because it was locked up. We were having to turn the whole unit to move it. We had to replace another outside faucet as well. I did get in a short workout this morning. I did Ice Boot camp Circuit no upper body premix, 35 minutes, 221 calories.

Valerie, I have been going over our insurance options this morning. I think our dental is changing this year. I wish they did not skip sending us our packet. The online sign up is down for changes etc.. I am thinking that Judy is right and we should switch to the PPO. IT would be less for us 2017 and then I will be on Medicare. I don't like the deductibles and out of pocket but I think it still averages out to less. Particularly for all of those years we never really use it other than for flu shots and a physical (me) Bill won't get a physical unless he has to. Medicare will be a challenge. It will take some research on figuring it all out. Ouch, on the skin being scraped off of the toes. I have enough problems with toes as it is. Just wearing closed toed shoes brings about rubbed areas. I love warm weather for that reason alone.

Judy, I am glad that the adjustments worked for you. I am inclined to agree that the PPO is probably better. My daughter was telling me that too. That is what they have and they can use whatever doctor that they want. It used to be that the HMO was somewhat less. Things have just escalated and they are terrible about authorizing things.

Deb, we see a lot of people we know that pass away. We get the retired officer newsletter and Bill is always mentioning the ones who are gone list. I remember my Dad talking about that. It is sad to think about them being gone.

Caitlin, we once took a tiny two seat convertible car to the grocery store. The groceries would not fit after we purchased them so we had to walk the carts home. They had to be walked back to get the car.

I do not know if all of you know that Frank has mysenia Travis which is a an extreme weakness of the limbs. He is getting better every day, and the meds he takes every day works very well. He is taking a nap
now, but he is getting better every day. I did step today and my upper body with Hi reps today
I hope everybody is doing great

I do not know if you are aware that Frank has mysenia Travis who

Good evening ladies!

This morning I did Leah Sarago Weights at the Barre. I then followed up with SB's Tabata. Total time was almost 60 minutes. I forgot my apple watch and realized as I was starting. Heaven forbid I walk upstairs to get it. Always laugh when it feels like too much effort!

Judy...I will need to check out that JS dvd. I really like her as an instructor. Not too intense but just what you need at times. Glad the adjustments helped your back. I love my Jumpsport and so happy I bought. I always liked jumping but the rebounder I had was not great at all. Was a really cheap one and I had it forever. I gave it to my girlfriend for her 11 year old. Big difference with the Jumpsport. Yes we leave for Florida on Saturday and come home Friday. It has been ages since Bob has spent Thanksgiving with is parents. First thing he mentioned he wanted to do after he left the restaurant business.

Valerie...that would drive me crazy and demotivate me to use a piece of equipment and have to change so many settings after my husband used it!

Carolyn...so funny...the nordic track was the first piece of equipment I bought too! I believe it was in the mid 80's. I remember doing a ton of research on it too. Loved it. I vary the risers also. Very rarely do I use 3 risers unless it it for strength only. No step whatsoever.

Deb...awesome the doorknob came out great! I did not think you were very negative about the dog park. I am glad you mentioned it! I had the push pull dvd and never did it. I ended up selling it on ebay. Will check out the live version though.

Caitlin...that was truly a workout!!! Awesome job. I need to look up what Frank has. I am not familiar with it. Is it something that can be treated? Hoping so.

Diane Sue...we are going thru open enrollment and prices have gone up. I feel you on the sink repairs. There is always something! That was a great workout when short on time.

Good morning,

Yesterday I did Live Cardio Core Circuit...I had to cut it short though, only did the first 29 minutes. The painter was due and I needed to be upstairs to let him in. That is a tough little workout...but good.

Diane Sue, we see a guy with 2 dogs some mornings when we are walking the dogs before John goes to work...he has one on leash and one off. The one off is a maniac, barks at our dogs charges at them etc. We tried to tell him he needs to leash that dog. He made some excuse the last time that he "just accidentally dropped the leash" but we have run into him many times and the dog is always running loose. John wants to report him. Medicare is not as hard as a regular medical choice...at least the big players that want you do go with them for parts C&D are willing to help you. That newsletter must be sad to read...especially if you knew those people.

Judy, that's great that you found a seat adjustment that allows you to do the spinning workout without causing any back pain. :). Thanks for the info on the JS workout. After some of the stuff you do, it seems like these would be pretty easy for you. I also am in a PPO with a very high deductible, but all preventative care is covered 100%, so unless you are sick, it's al free....LOL...:).

Caitlin did Walmart pick up the cart? I don't think you mentioned Frank being ill before, I hope he continues to improve.

Carolyn, I agree, the boot camp format is good, but usually they have pretty high impact cardio.

Valerie, our weight bench has a leg raise thing on one end and a squat rack on the other, so it is pretty heavy and we can't just slide it around. That is partly why I want it out of the workout area. I find using the full size step with 3 riser good enough as a bench.

Lori, LOL about not walking upstairs to get the watch....I feel like that too, but if I don't record my workout time/calories, it feels like it didn't count for some reason. Weird, I know. I think you will like the Live version of Push/Pull.

A workout, then meeting a couple of guys that were my bosses at work years ago. They had retired before me, but the 3 of us were really close when we worked together, travelled to DC for meetings etc. We were together in DC on 9/11...so we have that, and many, many years at the same company together as a sort of bond...

Take care,

The plumber had to replace the out door faucet which was expected but he also had to replace the kitchen. Last night I went upstairs and for some odd reason no cold water comes out of the bath sink faucet. That is the new faucet we had installed not long ago. Then I go to clean up after dinner and there is water under the kitchen sink. It ends up it I coming out of the top of this really old garbage disposer when we run water. There will be no repairing it. I have known this would not last. It already had rust running down the sides. I have hardly used it because I did not trust using it. So, I guess more projects. Fortunately where the water drains through from the dishwasher does not cause the leaking, it is from the top.

Deb, I really do like cardio core circuit. It is really effective and the impact in it is doable since it is intermittant. Enjoy your time today. I bet being there during 9/11 would really form a bond. You must have worked well together.
That is encouraging on medicare.

Deb, there are people on the trail where we road bike that let dogs loose. no, they're supposed to be leashed, and they are also supposed to scoop their poop but doesn't happen! I'm sorry to say its usually young women with kids ... on foot, tricycle, or stroller. they travel in bunches too. I am very vocal shouting "on your left" as we approach, like we are supposed to do, but kids and dogs off leash..sometimes even on leash... can't tell which way they might dash, and I have to say, many of the Moms are not careful about keeping things under control. I always slow down but I should not have to stop and get off my bike because they can't keep control. some groups travel 3 across with strollers and there isn't a way around them, not to mention their dogs leaping at the end of leashes. I am the one who would get hurt so I'm careful but they are the biggest hazards. some dogs will go after a bike, jumping or chasing. I'm not at the point of carrying bear spray yet but considered it. things quiet down this time of year but we get tired of irresponsible people.

diane sue, plumbing projects ....especially on old stuff... is a nightmare. plumbers charge a lot but I prefer hiring someone unless it's really simple. If one part of the system is corroded, the rest likely is too.... so one thing leads to another. you know..... you fix part A, but all the wrenching loosens up parts B & C and they start leaking... and so on. Good luck! ( I hate plumbing projects!)

DW install tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

Caitlin. ...myasthenia gravis? I think that's what you are saying ... with a typo or two. I don't know much about it.

we split wood yesterday... definitely an upper body workout, about 2 hours. then did 20 on the elliptical while dinner was in the oven. we have chopped most of the wood from the storm a few weeks ago. one more section of tree to go.

Deb, we have a plain narrow bench with a back that elevates or declines. didn't think we'd use it as much as we have. not expensive and doesn't take up much room either. with the Cathe tower, it's works well.

Lori too funny... all that intense working out and jumping.... but walking the stairs for a watch is a PITA! ouch... a 5 am flight... that is brutal. no sleep for you!
I didn't (and still don't) like resetting everything on the spin bike but it's an improvement over having to change the pedals each time. it's just weird that there is so much difference in how it needs to be set for two people not that different in size. I don't use the barbells much because it takes so long to unload and reload them, so I use mostly dumbbells. .
I also graduated in a big class... over 600 as I recall, but I graduated early and didn't really know many people in the class I graduated with. I was supposed to be in the Jan 66 class. they have reunions and keep lists of who's passed etc. I left the area long ago and keep in touch with 3 friends. lost touch with everyone else though I still recognize names.

Today I did Lift It HiiT It, Chest, Back, and Shoulders. Great workout.

Diane Sue, plumbing projects are very aggravating. You repair one section and something else goes out. We had that with our kitchen faucet and the drain basket underneath. We have several projects done with more needed. It seems that our house is at the point where many things need replacing or repairing.

Lori, yesterday I forgot to put my Fitbit in exercise mode until 5 minutes into my workout. I was so upset that I had missed that time and didn't have an accurate calorie burn. I totally understand about needing the Apple Watch.

Caitlin, I have heard of myasthenia gravis, but not much detail. I hope Frank has medication that helps with weakness.

Deb, it's wonderful that you are meeting your former colleagues. Shared experiences can create a lasting bond with friends.
