Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 11/12/2023

So, this morning I did Strong and Sweaty Total Body Giant Sets and while I knew I bought these during a time that I wasn't working out, I didn't really realize that I never did any of them. LOL Based on the fact that I didn't even recognize the set, I'm not even sure I ever previewed them. Can't say I loved the workout. The pace is killer. I matched Cathe on all but deadlifts and one other exercise and I used a barbell for a couple exercises where they used weights.

Diane Sue great job with Raw Boxing and Legs, Raw TBST Strength Lower body and the stretch and CDorner Tabata Cardio + stretch, and Raw TBTS Pull Day. Tux is a character all right. Yesterday was actually pretty peaceful as he and Chester never ended up in the same space together! Not sure what I'm going to do when Derek gets home, because if Tux is around when I'm eating I often have to go in there and eat. It's funny because if Tux follows me in there, he just goes and lays on the cat tree and watches birds out the window.

Carolyn the closest Costco to us is just a bit too far, and I already drive 35-40 minutes to shop. For at least the last year and a half there was supposed to be a Trader Joe's going in across from the Whole Foods, but it got stalled for about a year. They've finally started working on it, but I can't imagine it'll open before summer or fall.

Today I did P30 Lower Body and the Extended Stretch. That was 44 minutes and 183 calories burned. My average heart rate was 114 and maximum heart rate was 137.

Judy, nice workouts this week with Peloton Full Body Strength, 25 minutes of rowing, Peloton ride, yin yoga, beginner rowing classes, and upper body workout.

Diane Sue, nice work with CDorner Tabata Cardio +strength, and Raw TBTS Pull Day. This Costco is located in a new mixed use development that had many delays. I didn’t believe it would actually happen until there were Costco signs posted on the property.

Cathy, Strong and Sweaty is a great series. The Total Body Giant Sets is not my favorite from the series, but I still like it. I probably use Ramped Up Upper Body and Cardio Slam more than the others.

Our local costco is about 5 miles from us. wish there were a trader Joe too but thats an hour drive if conditions are decent. I dont go often.

That is how doctors are trained to think about medical sxs and problems which tend to be complex and overlapping. they start with a "list" of potential causes for a medical problem and rule things out, one by one, as possible causes . what is left is the probable reason. there are some things that can be directly identified but most problems are not as clear cut. sometimes testing that seems unrelated is done to rule out things on the "potential cause" list.

went shopping for flooring this morning as planned think we found what we want quickly but need to look closer and measure more carefully
 
Today we did some grocery shopping and I had a hair appointment. I did 25 minutes of rowing this afternoon.

Diane Sue-Great job with CDorner Tabata Cardio + stretch and Raw TBTS Pull Day. The Raw workout looks good. Wow, your inhaler was expensive! I think Chris’s was around $250 and I thought that was pretty bad.

Cathy-Great job with Strong and Sweaty Total Body Giant Sets. Strong and Sweaty is a really good series. I did a lot with it when it came out. Ramped Up Upper Body is my all time favorite Cathe upper body workout. PHA and Cardio Slam are good too. Total Body Giant Sets is good but not a favorite of mine. I prefer the Total Body Giant Sets Live workouts that Cathe has done since then.

I did 30 Minute Kickbox Express this morning which is actually 35 minutes. It's really good for a short workout and all basic stuff. So, I did some googling about the long awaited Trader Joe's here, and while the company who owned the property kept saying it was construction supply issues (while all other projects in the area kept building) weren't exactly being upfront. No one really believed it anyway. The developer who signed the construction loan went to prison. No shock to locals. So, last fall Trader Joe's stepped in and bought the property and hired their own contractor. So fingers crossed it works this time.

Today is my rest day. I went to the Farmers Market and picked up some things for next week. I have to plan for a lot more food since my daughter and her family are arriving on Tuesday. It takes a lot of food for 4 additional people. My son-in-law and grandson are always hungry! My oldest arrives on Wednesday so I will have all but one member of my immediate family for Thanksgiving.

Judy, it’s good that you could get grocery shopping and your hair appointment taken care of. Nice job with 25 minutes of rowing.

Cathy, nice job with 30 minute Kickboxing Express. The saga of your long awaited Trader Joe’s sounds like many large real estate developments, minus the going to prison! It‘s been the same with the area where the new Costco is located. Different restaurants and anchor stores have been discussed, but I’m waiting to see the end result. I hope that you get the Trader Joe’s eventually.

I have been cooking and prepping for tomorrow's dinner all day. I did take a break while a pie was baking to get in a workout. I did Raw TBTS Push day + warm up, 24 minutes, 94 calories, heart rate 110/136. TBTS timesaver intervals 15 minutes, 86 calories, heart rate 140/164, and TBTS Sculpt Abs, 17 minutes, 46 calories.
I ended with CDorner mobility day 6 morning mobility and day 18 chest and shoulder mobility stretch, 25 minutes, 48 calories. Total time was 81 minutes, 279 calories. I need to get back to work on things. More potatoes to peel. Yesterday was a rest day. I was not much in the mood for a workout.
