Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 11/05/2023

Good morning. I am getting better. this is the 8th day after and I'm not normal but improving. it was a shock not using pain meds but what happened made me sure it would be an ongoing problem if i tried to start. after most surgeries advil etc are ok, but this is bone fusion and then its not. I cannot sit in a chair very long. something about the hip joint isn't happy yet. more later

This morning I did Body Blast Push Pull. A long time ago that was one of my favorite workouts. Was really glad to get to the second half, because especially for the first 20 minutes I was like "why am I doing this? why did I like this? LOL High reps and pace, pace backed off a bit farther into the workout thankfully. Had a really nice visit with my sister and parents today. They are currently at the Western Michigan hockey game as my parents have season tickets.

Carolyn great job with RWH Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders and RWH Legs. Chat GPT was never mentioned. LOL

Diane Sue nice job with STS 2.0 Supersets Total Body premix Upper and calves and Raw Stretch.

Hi to Judy and Valerie.

Today is my rest day.

Cathy, nice job with Body Blast. I’ve had those moments of wonder when doing an older workout too—“why did I like this“!

Valerie, I hope that you have something interesting to watch as you recuperate. If you haven’t seen Billions you might try that. It’s available on Amazon Prime.

Waving hello to all. Have a great afternoon.

This morning I did FitSplit Low Impact Cardio and the chair stretch from SB. I woke up before 6, worked out showered, walked and I so need to do that everyday.

Yesterday I did STS 2 Super Sets Lower Body only mix, 18 minutes, heart rate 110/135 heart rate, 70 calories. I added STS 2 body parts legs bonus, 8 minutes, 29 calories, heart rate 101/119. I finished with CDorner mobility challenge day 27 full body morning mobility and day 26 legs stretches, 23 minutes, 34 calories. Total time today was 49 minutes, 134 calories. I almost skipped a workout. My brother called me and his wife was in the hospital after a heart attack. Not long after she passed away. It was so unexpected and makes me sad.
Today I did CDorner Kickboxing to the Beat, 32 minutes, heart rate 146/176,186 calories, 3,287 steps. I followed with STS 2 abs mish mosh standing abs (not quite all is standing) 21 minutes, 91 calories, heart rate 114/149, 406 steps. I then did CDorner mobility challenge day 28 upper body 12 minutes, 18 calories. I then though I would do some of CDorner Low Impact Cardio Yoga Flow, but ended up doing all but the starting talk you through a process in your head, 40 minutes, heart rate 108/148, 144 calories, 524 steps. This was pretty good and non stop movement. Total time was 1 hour 45 minutes, 439 calories, 4,222 steps.

Valerie, I am glad that you are improving even though it is slow. It would be tough going through that with just Advil.

Cathy, nice work on Push Pull. I used to love that and do the extended mix all of the time. I do not think I would love it now. I do not love high reps and fast paced workouts with weights all that much anymore.

Carolyn enjoy your rest day.
