Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 10/30/2022

This morning I did part of High Reps which was 40 minutes with 175 calories burned. My average heart rate was 121 and maximum heart rate was 155. I didn’t have time to do the full workout, but I’m glad that I did some of it. I had forgotten how much I like High Reps.

Judy, great job with Live Push Pull Total Body and a 40 minutes of Peloton rides.

Valerie, states have to issue Real ID compliant drivers licenses/identification cards. Georgia doesn’t call our licenses “Real ID” but they are compliant. It varies from state to state, but states must meet requirements for Real ID by May 2023. It’s probably smart to wait a day after your injection before doing vigorous exercise.

Hello to Judy, Diane Sue, Cathy, and Lori. Have a wonderful day everyone.

I did Fit Ball Express this morning. 39 minutes long and she jams everything in. First section is upper body with weights and she makes it extra fun. A lot of reps and at the point where you feel you should be done with that one, she'll be okay now we're doing 1.5's or some other variation. After that you ditch the weights for lower body and core with the ball.

Carolyn nice job with High Reps.

Judy great job with the live Push Pull Total Body Heavy Weight and Peloton ride.

Valerie The boys and I all have the enhanced (Real Id's). They got them when they got their original licenses. Automatic thing I hadn't realized at the time. I got mine when I renewed my license. I hate to fly, but with Nick being far away and Derek potentially ending up the same, I want to be able to get to them quickly if there's an emergency. Here it doesn't cost extra if you are renewing your license or getting your first license. I've been happy to see our Secretary of State make the logistics of doing things here much easier. A lot more stuff can be done on line, and I've noticed recently that they have machines in places like groceries stores where you can do some things. It sounds like your knee is progressing really well!

Today I did Raw Box and Sculpt 28 minutes, 156 calories, heart rate 130/154. I used 8 and 10# dumbbells.
I then did Boss Bands Timesaver back, biceps, and core, 29 minutes, 84 calories, heart rate 97/127. I thought I had the Box and Sculpt format typed out, but guess I need to do it. I also did CDorner stretch on the beach. Total time was 68 minutes, 250 calories, 1,668 steps

Core

Valerie, that is great that you are ready to move forward to some weights with you PT. It is tough not being able to work out like we desire too.

Carolyn, nice work with High Reps today. I will be glad when I am done with appointments. I prefer to space them out so I don't have a month full of appointments. I had just got my license renewed shortly before they came up with the Real ID.

Cathy, nice work on Fit Ball Express. I am not sure about extra cost on the Real ID. When I turned 65 they said I no longer had to pay to renew my license. I guess I will find out. I also heard that you can get the license renewed for an extended amount of time. My dog thinks everyone wants to see her too.

Judy, I love that Raw Stretch. Nice work with live #309 Push Pull Total Body.

Valerie, that is great that you are ready to move forward to some weights with you PT. It is tough not being able to work out like we desire too. That is nice that you had time with your friends and she has come through her cancer well.

Today I did Live Intense Upper Body and XTrain Core 2.

Valerie-Nice job with the PT work. That is great to hear that your friend has done so well after such a rough year.

Carolyn-Great job with High Reps. I haven't done that one in so long that I can't even remember it. I think it's one I've only done once or twice. I need to take a look at it again.

Cathy-Great job with Fit Ball Express. I agree about the Secretary of State. They have made a lot of improvements and I love being able to do most things online.

Diane Sue-Great job with Raw Box and Sculpt, Boss Bands Timesaver back, biceps, and core, and the CDorner Stretch.

Hi to Lori

Cathy I used to fly lots but I don't like it. necessary current ID is worth having ready. you never know when you might need to go somewhere quickly. we haven't used passports much but it takes a long time to get one if you dont have it and if you need it ASAP, you better already have it. once you have one its not ridiculous to renew but a new one takes a long time. we used it mostly to canada. I'm not sure if Real ID is good enough for that now but its not anything you can get in a week if you suddenly want it. WA has been great about making things accessible online from licenses to voting things you previously needed to do by mail or in person.

I did therapy work and 30 on the elliptical. also did some minor upper body things, curls, side raises, only 5 min worth. it felt fine but will wait until tomorrow to be sure. the therapy work includes a lot of core work.

supposed to have a significant wind and rainstorm today. so far lots of rain but no wind ....yet. hopefully we slide by without alot.

Today I did JS 30 Minute Fat Blaster from the 30 Day Plan. That was 30 minutes and 210 calories burned. My average heart rate was 135 and maximum heart rate was 160.

Cathy, great job with Fit Ball Express. Cathe is very skilled at fitting a lot of work into a short period of time.

Diane Sue nice job with Raw Box and Sculpt, Boss Bands timesaver, and CDORNER stretch. I hope that you were not hit by that bad weather yesterday and last night.

Judy, great job with Live Intense Upper Body and XTrain Core 2. High Reps is easy to overlook since it is not a part of a series. I have done it many times but that’s usually because it is on Cathe's monthly rotations.

Valerie, great job with the therapy exercises and 30 minutes on the elliptical. We have been discussing Real ID and this morning I saw an article in The NY Times explaining it. It was in the “in case you missed it“ section.

Hello to Lori.

Today I did CDorner Step to the Beat #249(135-140bpm)
This was 63 minutes, my heart rate 119/144, 272 calories, 4,948 steps. I finished with CDorner Mindful Mobility, 33 minutes, 57 calories, heart rate 81/100. I wish she did not put together so many moves that she forgets when they all are put together and keeps needing to start over. At one point I was on track, went over the step and around and back on and she has forgot what to do. I nearly tripped over the step. This one did have a lot of changes and foot movement as well as around and over the step. I guess it keeps the brain working:p Total time was 96 minutes, 329 calories, 4,948 steps. I think the mobility only had a bout 13 steps in it. Chris does some different stuff in this mobility. I forgot that last time my neck and traps hurt afterward. I was not so aggressive with it this time. She has you lying down holding head an inch off the floor to strengthen the neck. Not good for me. Also she does some face down arms in L position trap strengthening. Funny that she says if your knee stands up (hers does when you are crossing your knee across the other leg your hip is tight on that side. Mine must be tight all of my life! Right knee always is up.
I will be taking tomorrow off and two days during this week. I have ladies game day and an ultrasound coming up.
Getting some stuff tomorrow to make some taco soup that I really like. I ordered grassfed lean ground beef and bone broth along with fresh tomatoes. I need something nourishing to pull out and eat instead of protein bars, and easy things.

Carolyn, we were fine. The tornado and bad weather was near the Texas border. We got a little rain and some drizzle. It seems an odd time for a tornado. Nice work with Jessica Smith Fat Blaster today.

Valerie, nice work getting in the therapy work and elliptical today.

Judy, good job on Live Intense Upper Body and XTrain core 2.

Our power is out since early Friday night. Internet servers got overloaded too so no decent access. Someone else please start the thread in the morning? Bad windstorm last night. Not getting fixed any time soon.
