Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 10/08/2023

Today I did CDorner Old School Cardio High or Low (fun music that Chris said she did not list in the description because some would not do it), 30 minutes, heart rate 125/159, 145 calories, 3,231 steps. I also did the first half of CDorner Thighs and Butt (had to stop as husband and granddaughter were coming home with lunch), 22 minutes, 73 calories, heart rate 103/128, 372 steps. Total time 52 minutes, 218 calories, 3,603 steps.
About half of the fish have died. We have a smaller aquarium coming and there will be set up time. Aquariums seem to have gone up a lot in price for the tall ones. We changed part of the water and treated it in the bucket. We have the pump hooked up and air flowing into the bucket for them. I am sure they were all in shock. Our Bristle nose plecostomus was swimming around in the water on the floor. We had to use a net to push him out from under the stand so I could pick him up. He is pretty hardy and still alive. I am glad we have ceramic tile and not carpet.

Valerie, we had a hibiscus in front curbside of our last house. It did well in full sun and did not take too much care. I never had bug problems with it and never sprayed it because it attracted honeybees. I just trimmed it down every season to about a foot off the ground and grew tall and bloomed out. every year. I did trim out old rotting wood. I needed something that grew in full sun for the planter in the middle of our yard. This one said it could be planted this time of year before a freeze. I have hopes for it.
Nice long hike. It sounds like you had a beautiful view.
 
Wednesday, I had my annual exam. I had gotten my blood work done last week so my doctor had those results and everything was good. All I need to do is get my annual mammogram in December then I will be done for the year. Wednesday night I did 35 minutes of Peloton rowing and yesterday I did a 30 minute Peloton ride, 10 minutes of rowing and 10 minutes of upper body work.

Valerie-That’s good that you were able to move your surgery date up to the 31st. Great job with the spin bike, therapy work, xtrain core, upper body and the long hike.

Carolyn-I hope your husband is adjusting well to the medication changes. Great job with JS Steady, Ready, Go and P30 Perfect Pump Upper Body and the Extended Stretch.

Cathy-Great job with P30 Low Impact Hiit and STS 2 Metabolic Core.

Diane Sue-That is awful about the aquarium. I’m sorry that you lost some of the fish.

This morning I did KCM’s Power Splits Lower Body for 34 minutes and 214 calories burned. Average heart rate was 128 and maximum heart rate was 172.

Valerie, your hike sounds nice with wonderful views.

Diane Sue, great job with CDorner Old School cardio. That’s terrible about the aquarium and losing half of the fish.

Judy, great job with 35 minutes of Peloton rowing, Peloton ride, upper body work. That’s good news about your annual exam and blood work. I like to do the labs ahead of my appointment too.

A road ride this morning 15 miles in an hour and 20 minutes. doing a trip to montana tomorrow for a week. I didn't get sore from the hike . will check in during the week.

Today I did Raw Upper Body & Abs, 34 minutes, 84 calories, heart rate 94/135. I then did Total Body Push day 14 minutes out of the 18 as I had to rush to go to lunch with my husband and granddaughter. This was only 34 calories, and heart rate 89/127. Total time 48 minutes, 118 calories.
Raw Upper Body And Abs 34:39 minutes Things have been busy. We are going out to get new aquarium gravel and stuff tomorrow. I need to do some baking for family day as well. It has been a busy week.

Yesterday did STS 2 Giant Sets. Ended up only doing two rounds as my lower back was complaining and that workout hits it for a lot of exercises. This morning I did Live Boom Boom Pow Kickbox. I really liked that one. Starts off with boxing, then bags, then a no equipment leg section that's mostly kicks and finishes with kickboxing. After that I did SB lying stretch. Very rainy dreary day here. Really feeling for all the kids and parents at marching competitions today. I've so been there.

Valerie that sounds like a very cool hike with so much to see, and that's great that you weren't sore. Nice job with the ride. Safe travels to Montana.

Diane Sue great job with Old School Cardio High or Low and Thighs and Butts and Raw Upper Body & Abs and Total Body Push. A big mess would have been worse with carpet. Hopefully the fish are okay that way until the new tank is ready. We once had a long power outage and we put the fish in buckets and took them to the neighbors with pumps as they had a generator. They did okay but it was not ideal by any means.

Judy nice job with the Peloton workouts. I'm sure you're experiencing this very non lovely weather, too.
 
Today is a rest day for me. I had my monthly meeting this morning. I picked up my new glasses yesterday but I’m going to go back to have them adjusted slightly. They are sliding down to much which affects how I see when I look down.
