Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 1/31

I did 30 on the elliptical most of it level 10, up a notch from previous. also abs from X train, 75 knee push ups and some tricep push ups.

deb that is the issue here..people who got their first shot need the second one. that is blocking new people from getting a first shot. at least that's what it sounds like. supposedly a new supply is available mid day sunday so we will see how it goes. its hard to understand where the hold up is, except the people delivering the injections seem not to know when exactly or how many doses they will receive, reliably. better not schedule at all than have to call people back and cancel.
I just want to get immunized, and I assume people are doing the best they can with the information they have at the time. I remind myself that almost nothing useful ( total denial of the problem) was done for the entire year of the run up to this, and I assume the information passed on to the new administration was incomplete and inaccurate. we've had 4 years of nothing but that.

I love to see cardinals! weve seen them in AZ mainly, but I remember from the midwest. they dont get across the rocky mts. no west coast cardinals.

Deb I try not to buy a small specialty appliance for each little thing. some things there is no substitute, like a blender or stick blender. I can do rice on stovetop and it works, but it's become a challenge to get it done reliably in the IP. there are so many kinds of rice! I like white rice but don't use it often. usually long grain brown rice. I like Lundberg brand the best and it cooked better than the jasmine rice I tried the day before. there is also instant brown rice that works pretty well and cooks in 10 minutes. I want to get this method "down" for MT since with the elevation, things can take a lot longer to cook.

This morning I did WS3 One Mile of Motivation for 15 minutes and 107 calories burned. Average heart rate was 128 and maximum heart rate was 143. After that I did Perfect Flow Mobility Basics + Core which was 40 minutes with 141 calories burned. My average heart rate was 110 and maximum heart rate was 137.

Deb, any workout that you do is an accomplishment. Nice job with the Cathe Live workouts. That’s great that you and your husband have gotten the first vaccine dose.

Valerie, level 10 on the elliptical is very impressive. Great job with that, the push ups, and X Train Abs. I buy Lundberg long grain brown rice too. It tastes better than some of the other brands that I have tried.

Hello to Diane Sue, Judy, and Cathy.

Well yesterday was a wash as far as workouts went. I woke up at 2:45 fell asleep again after 5:30 and slept till 7:30. Since I had worked out on my normal rest day I said to heck with it. This morning I did Party Rockin' Step 1 and the weighted abs from Butts and Guts.

Diane Sue I hadn't seen that Live Cardio Glutes Core Express. Sounds really interesting. How much do you like it?

Valerie great job on the P30 Upper Body and the elliptical abs, and pushups. Level 10 is fantastic. Rice and I have a lousy relationship whether it's on the stove or in the IP. On a rare occasion I can get it right. Usually I end up having to soak the pan. We get all the cardinals in the winter. During the summer we have one or two pairs around the yard, but they come from the woods across the road in the winter eat. Same with blue jays. A couple pairs in the summer and usually 12-15 in the winter. Both are a nice color addition to the winter browns.

Carolyn good job with Cardio Leg Blast and the One Mile Motivation and Mobility.

I think my elliptical goes up to 14 so 10 is good but I can make progress yet. no workout today. took my car in for service and while its gone we replaced some bedroom lighting. had to move furniture, fill in holes and re drill some, paint, and clean windows to do it, all day project.

Cardinals are so gorgeous! we used to have them occasionally in Milwaukee but I saw them more regularly when we have been in AZ in winter. closest thing we have here are cedar waxwings. we have different jays too.... not blue jays but stellers jays. same personality but solid blue with darker head and crest. we also have gray jays in the mts here and scrub jays. scrub jays in Montana. yes, I'm a birdwatcher, not real dedicated but I can ID most. I'm not good with sparrows and gulls, and hummingbirds are tough too. I cab ID several that we have locally. one kind overwinters here now. Anna's. they are swarming all over the feeder now almost like its spring. they are so much fun to watch. we have at least a dozen to two dozen here in early spring/summer. they move so fast you cant count them. we spread feeders out around our house and try to count.. not possible.

Hi Everyone,

This week went by very fast. I'm trying to get caught up on posts today. Yesterday I did an hour of Peloton rides and 4 rounds of Muscle Meltdown Back. It's very cold here and we've had a few inches of snow over the past couple of days.

Deb-nice job on the Cathe Live workouts. It looks like we may not be able to get the vaccine until October. They are not doing a good job of this at all in Michigan. One of the hospitals recently cancelled almost 3,000 appointments due to a computer glitch that allowed the appointments to be made by mistake.

Carolyn-Great workouts this week! I agree about Lundberg brown rice, it's the best tasting of all that I have tried.

Valerie-Nice workouts this week and awesome job with the weight loss!

Cathy-Great job with Party Rockin' Step and the abs from Butts and Guts. That's a nice combination.

Diane Sue-I hope you can get some rest soon. Great job with workouts this week.
