Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 08/12/22

we planned to ride this morning but it rained unexpectedly. not a lot of rain but enough not to ride in it. later did x train ch, ba, and sh, the whole thing, also x train abs. instead of using the ball I'm using the bench. ball needs airing up to be useable.
that's a thing I like about cathe's premixes. there is usually one that does the program plus an ab workout. if I don't have to go back to the TOC and select it after the main program, I am way more likely to do abs.

Thursday I shopped and then yesterday was a lost cause. I had less than 3 hours sleep. Derek headed for Memphis with his GF's father and brother and they are currently at the zoo there where he is in heaven. :D
This morning I did Express Your Step, and while I really thought I'd done it before apparently not. The first 20 minutes is learning a 96 count routine, all familiar moves though in ways that are different. Then two sets of combos/blasts, followed by another blast. After that you do an ab stacker routine. It's definitely a good workout.

Valerie hope you are having safe travels! I'll be heading north Thursday where the high will be 64! Glad to be missing their heat wave which ended yesterday when they hit 90! Hoping to get in a couple hikes while I'm there. Nice job getting in the Xtrain workout and I totally agree about having the ab workout be part of the premix!

Carolyn nice job with Stride and Step, Total Body Trisets Upper Body and the TBT Lower Body.

Diane Sue sorry to hear you are sharing my sleep issues. I'm really hoping that once Derek is back at NMU, and I'm again in control of when I get up it'll help, but my main issue is I am lousy at having a decent bedtime routine. Great job getting in the Butt, Boxing and stretch routine.

Judy great job with Standing Legs. I hope your dental work goes smoothly. It is never fun.

Today is a rest day. I did my usual Saturday market run for fresh produce. The weather has been tough on the farms, so things didn’t look as good as usual. I did remember to pick up some local honey from the beekeepers.

Valerie, it’s too bad that you didn’t get to ride due to rain. Nice job with XTrain Chest, Back, and Core. I hope that you have a safe trip.

Cathy, great job with Express Your Step. It sounds like a challenging step workout. It’s very hard when you are not in control of your schedule but you seem to be making it work.

Hello to Judy and Diane Sue. Have a great day everyone.

Carolyn enjoy the rest day. our farm produce is not as good as usual either. corn and tomatoes are very late. I always grow green beans. they were crummy this year. more coming in 2 weeks or so. basil and zucchini normal. broccoli spectacular.

we got in our ride this morning instead, a little more than 15 miles with a side trip to the PO. an hour and 15 min.
we had a terrific thrash yesterday with a new ( to us) capitol one bank where our long standing cc has moved. they got everything wrong! only my half the account works, wont let DH sign in. not sure what they did because it was supposed to be a seamless transition. we've had the card for 30 yrs and different banks have serviced it. aggravating when english is a second language everyone , at least the 5 or so we talked to. I fully understand the whole world doesn't speak english but for banking issues over the phone it's really difficult if you have to have people repeat things over and over.

cathy that sounds like a challenging workout with all the combos. I would hate it! I could not do it. I wish the high was 64. its cooler now but humidity is high so we are glad we get a change tomorrow after a long drive. forecast there looks pleasant. I'm good at falling asleep but tend to wake up too early and then cant get back to sleep. usually its 6 hours in though. for me it does help to have a regular evening routine and bedtime.
I feel silly for not realizing until lately how useful premixes are. I used to think they were all shorter so didn't use them. Im a slow learner. not necessarily shorter at all, but I love sticking the ab routine on seamlessly.
