Today PT was not so bad as I expected, after yesterday. Yesterday I iced all day and woke hurting at 3 am this morning and grabbed a gel ice pack and went back to bed. The back of my shoulder is getting a lot of work and my traps get sore and really tight which causes neck pain. I got up 3 hours later and did stretching and rolled on the traps a bit. Felt better by the time I left the house at 8:30 to do it again. Today I could even get my arms up and down laterally from the front in a rainbow. Progress is good. Most of the stretching deeper was tolerable, other than he has moved to another angle of a rotated stretch which really hurts. Was really hurting when I got home, but I iced. Worked on the knots and then took a nap as last night I did not sleep well. I am better now. I talked to the PT about cardio. I told him the surgeons PA that I see said I could use the spin bike and told me to ask the PT what I was ready for. The PT said the Tread climber would be fine. I mentioned the step without using the arm and he said things like that would be fine too. He said as far as arm movement I can move it as I feel I can as I am well along on the healing process.
Cathy, I hope that you have safe travels. Be careful. It is warm here today and low 70's. Rain coming in and I noticed it is cloudy. I thought rain was supposed to hit Sunday.
Carolyn, is Power Splits one of Kelly's new workouts? I knew she was doing new ones and I see them on her Raw channel. Have you done the Cardio Fit one? I need to check out what is on them. SHe has them up on her Raw channel, but those won't have pre-mixes like the dvds. Sometimes she adds some pre-mixs to the Raw channel on a few. I look, but she does boxing on so much cardio, that I keep holding off. Not ready for boxing or weightlifting yet. I keep up my subscription to Raw as I am grandfathered in at 6.99 a month. She does have good stretches and some body weight work. I noticed she added some technique and form which I need to look at. I bet I could do step sync with limits on right arm.
Judy, nice work on the Peloton workout. I see you have done the Power Splits as well as Carolyn. Do you like them? I am so anxious for the time I can get back to doing what I want.
Valerie, we do not have a landline anymore. It has been 8 years since we quit. He only kept one before that for work if there was power outages or something where cell was not charged and they needed to reach him. I do not carry my husbands phone around. I do not take mine outside unless I am expecting an important call. Like Carolyn, I get notifications on my watch when there are calls and can see who it is a lot of the time. The phone does not go with me around the house. I do monitor my husband's phone when he is sleeping during the day, but rarely answer unless it is something I know he needs me to. That does not happen either. The phones will say possible span for a lot of calls on his and I do not pick up. He keeps less things blocked than I do because he has work people call and business things. I do not get many calls I do not want to talk to. Except maybe CVS trying to get me to move prescriptions or refill things I do not want. I ignore. My husband wears cargo pocket pants and keeps his phone on him when we are out, work he wears a carrier on his belt. Neither of us carry our cell phones to the bedroom when sleeping and I have my settings for notifications off during sleeping hours. Not disturb. I can change that easily if I think I need to be able to be notified for something serious. My husband keeps his phone loud and loud tones for texts etc. I keep mine low and not so obnoxious. His literally makes me jump when it goes off when I am sitting here quietly like now. I understand though, that we do what we need. I do not like to talk on the phone that much personally. My husband hates texting, but with our family and the younger ones they all tend to want to just text. No person to person talks. Weird how that is. I carry his secondary glasses and keys around most of the time except lately I remove them to lighten my handbag. He bought me a new purse that is not so huge and has pockets. I had been carrying a small crossbody bag and could not get my wallet in it and new phone stuck out the top. I got a smaller wallet. Much better on the shoulders and it can be crossbody as well, but a 10-inch purse both directions.
Oh, and my husband got a big phone and it is one of the Galaxy ones that fold out into a huge phone. I do not like messing with it. I have a lot of apps I use on my phone and my husband does not, and really likes his stuff all put in a specific order. I have folders, but 2 pages of apps. Least used on the second one so I can read from Kindle or my Bible app when waiting for appointments etc.
