Today I did my Finished Step workout and STS2 Super Sets Total Body. You guys dread barre, but there are workouts you love that have a huge dread factor for me and I avoid them. LOL I have to print out a new sheet for that workout as I filled up the 12 lines I have for it.

Valerie I hope that it works for you to take the cat with you. The first cat I had when I moved away from home was great in the car. She had a little bed and she'd lay it there or in the back window, very occasionally she'd wander, but never got in my way. Of course, that was early 80's and the concept of seat belts for animals didn't exist. I used to take her every week to my parents when I did laundry and she'd play with their cat. Unfortunately she got really sick and did't live very long.

Diane Sue I hope you get things straightened around with Verizon. That type of thing is such a pain to deal with.

Good morning. Today I did yoga/mobility for 20 minutes.

Judy, thanks for starting us off this week.

Valerie, nice job with your yard walk and therapy. I’m glad that you’re making progress with the cat behavior.

Diane Sue, great job with LMR Functional Total Body. That’s good news from the pulmonologist.

Cathy, great job with your Finished Step workout and STS 2 Supersets. We all have preferences and different goals for our workouts. Hearing what others are doing is one of the things that I like about the forums.

Hello to Shannon.

Did the park walk this morning for 1 hr 15 minutes. pretty morning but no good wildlife lately. we dosed Puss with more of the med but it didnt help. he still meows all the time. will not be good for a 12 hr drive. will try the vet tomorrow for another drug to try and am ordering a soft large soft carrier thats more open than the hard sided plastic carrier I've used. I dont mind spending a little( 70$) on this because whatever it costs, it will be less than a kennel bill plus WAY more convenient. the soft carrier will need to fit in the back seat. I took him out of the carrier today after we were home and clipped him to the back seat while we drove around the neighborhood. he is all over the place even with harness and leash. not quietly sleeping in the window. now that we are home he's sacked out on my chair for hours. thats what I was hoping for during a car ride. Im going to feed him inside the new kennel and see if he gets comfortable in it.

yesterday I did a 30 min spin and then played part of the Barre Fusion and did a little of it. not a lot done but I will need to see if I could like that one. I never cared much for Barre and always got sore from it because I avoided doing it much.

Friday I took a rest day. Yesterday I did a 45 minute Peloton Walk and today I did 40 minutes of Peloton rowing and 45 minutes of Yin Yoga.

Cathy-Great job with your Finished Step workout and STS2 Super Sets Total Body.

Valerie-Great job with your yard walk, therapy work, spin and part of Barre Fusion. I hope it works out for you to be able to travel with your cat.

Diane Sue-Great job with LMR Functional Total Body. I’m glad that your test results were good.

Carolyn-Great job with your yoga/mobility. I subscribed to Suzanne Bowen’s site for a while too, about 10 years ago. I did a lot of barre work but it wasn’t really something I loved. I thought it was kind of like physical therapy but over time I realized I wasn’t really getting a lot of benefits from it. I enjoy Cathe’s Turbo Barre workout but other than that, I don’t really go out of my way looking for barre workouts anymore.

Hi to Shannon

Good morning, ladies. I hope you all had a good weekend. Saturday I took a very nice walk outside. First one in a long time, what with the snow and cold temps. Sunday I was supposed to do some sort of yoga or flexibility work, but I just didn’t feel like it. The problem there is that I really need to work that sort of thing into my schedule, especially balance work, but I just don’t want to. But it’s good for me, and it’s so important. Yesterday I think I was extra fidgety, so I took Sara for several walks instead of doing an indoor workout. I need discipline!!

Cathy – What sort of workouts do you dread? Barre doesn’t have a dread factor for me, it just bores me to tears, LOL.

Carolyn – Good for you, doing yoga yesterday. I need to take inspiration from you.

Valerie – I’m sorry Puss won’t settle down in the car. I’ve never had to travel with a cat. My dogs have always been good, except for Sara. She insists on riding in my lap. If I ever have to take her anywhere besides the vet, I’ll have to crate her.

Judy – Good work on all you Peloton workouts. I sort of liked Turbo Barre too, mostly because I think the music kept me moving even when I was repped out with so many leg lifts and stuff.

Hello to Diane.

This morning I did Live Boxing Hiit 2 and P30 Extended Stretch. Dread may not be the right word. Don't want to do them is more the attitude I have. Sometimes it's because of how things played out when I originally did them, even if the things had nothing to do with the actual workout. There are older workouts that I avoid doing like the Gym Styles because at the time I didn't like that much weight work, yet I'll do the total body workouts from STS2 which are at least as hard if not more. Some of the series I've never done more than use the cardio. I really need to try some of them. Maybe when I'm done with my current rotation, I'll create one titled "workouts I don't want to do" and try and break that. LOL

Last night just as I had fallen asleep Derek texted me asking if he could call me. I have both of them set to override my do not disturb. He and Aliah had just had a long conversation and broken their engagement. Bottom line she's got a new job she loves and doesn't want to leave the area she's in. Her friends and family are there. He gets it though to him it was quite a shift from I'll go where you go, to that. But she didn't start the job until his last few days here. I wasn't overly surprised as she kept moving back when she'd go visit and finding excuses like not liking the weather there, when she lives in an area of Michigan that gets 2-3x the snow of Bismarck and while it doesn't have the real bitter cold, it definitely has a long cold winter. He seemed to be taking it well, and I told him to call anytime he needs to talk.

Valerie my sisters dog developed severe anxiety in the car and they have multiple drives a year between FL and NC. She had to try a number of things to keep him calm before finding something that works reasonably well. Boarding has gotten really pricy. And having someone come in and stay with him more so. It was cheaper for her to fly someone they know in, give them money for food and a car to drive. They get a vacation, she gets a sitter.

Cathy be proud your son felt Ok to call you and talk. I remember my younger years. the absolute, totally last person I would have called was my mother. the worst advice in the world would be from her. good she(aliah) was clear about what what wasn't working rather than stumble ahead and end up divorcing in a few years. they're both young, not the end of the world. if you're capable of one good relationship, there's a future. has to be a mutually good fit.

I have no clue if this is kitty anxiety or what. hes very active. didnt sit still in the car even out of the crate. i leashed him to the head rest so he had a few feet to roam. he was everywhere, over under around and thru! even on meds. after we got home he slept all afternoon. this is only to commute to other house and back. . nowhere else. hoping a new more open container will help.

ETA had cardiology appt this morning, scheduled for battery replacement next monday. 10 min procedure not complicated. some not terribly restrictive cautions for the week or so after. its only a battery but there is an incision upper left chest I dont want to pull apart. then a follow up check in a week and I should be done. I thought the lead time on this would be much longer so I opted to get it done ASAP.

I read a lot of reviews before ordering this carrier. its soft, more roomy and has zip open mesh windows. he now jumps in the car and wanders when i open the door for him, so maybe its more the carrier than anything else. I feel this needs work but isnt impossible.

Today I did STS 2.0 Super Sets Total Body, premix with 2 sets. My time was 48 minutes and 124 calories burned, average heart rate 105, and maximum heart rate 127.

Valerie, great job with the park walk, 30 minutes of spinning, and a little bit of LMR Barre Fusion.

Judy, great job with 45 minutes of Peloton walk, 40 minutes of Peloton rowing, and 45 minutes of Yin Yoga.

Shannon, it’s good that you could walk outside after all of the snow and cold weather.

Cathy, great job with Live Boxing HiiT 2 and P30 Extended Stretch. It might be a mixed blessing about your son’s engagement. It’s better to find the problem areas before marriage rather than after. It’s good that he can talk to you about it.

Hello to Diane Sue.

Today I did 2023 series Gloved Up and Ready, 41 minutes, 197 calories, heart rate 111/140, 3,006 steps followed by LMR Upper foam roller doing the upper body mini workout with the roller as well. That mini workout is tough on my wrists. This was 17 minutes, 53 calories. Total time was 58 minutes, 250 calories. I have my grandson here today.

Today I did a 30-minute Peloton Full Body Strength workout. Friday I had my annual mammogram and got the results today. All good, which is always a relief. The older I get, the more I worry about these things. I had my annual blood work done last week and that was good too. My cholesterol is back in the normal range after making some dietary changes a few months ago.

Shannon-Great job with your walk. I agree, the music in Turbo Barre is motivating.

Cathy-Great job with Live Boxing Hiit 2 and P30 Extended Stretch. I am sorry about your son’s engagement. I agree with Carolyn and Valerie, it's better that this happened before they got married.

Carolyn-Great job with the STS 2.0 Super Sets Total Body premix.

Diane Sue-Great job with Gloved Up and Ready and LMR Upper Foam Rolling.

Hi to Valerie

Well workouts today weren't exactly as expected. I was up early enough to do RWH Low Impact Hiit 2, but then while I was having breakfast, two of the cats came in freaked out about something. I went out on the porch and saw our neighbors old, fairly blind and deaf dog in our tree line. So, I grabbed coat, boots and phone and went after her. Texted our neighbors, don't have owners number, and started following her. Of course she was in the tree line on the far side from them. They own the property behind us, but house sits back behind our neighbors. Caught up with her and she fell over, so I stood her back up and off she went back up towards are house. She doesn't know me, and won't stay with me. We went back up and across our yard to the neighbors, where she sometimes plays with their dog and has some familiarity. But then she headed for the road, and I had to do a quick big circle to get in front of her and shoo her back. Saw lights on in the house, so I called him, and told him, as she's running down between their chicken coop and our fence, but at least headed in the right direction. I stayed behind her and at the back of their yard she headed left and seemed to realize she was in the home stretch and sped up. Saw her owner headed down their drive, she went to him and I yelled over that she'd been on our far side. Amazing how much moving she did given her gimpy back leg. She'll probably take a long nap now. After breakfast I was all set up to do STS2 Trisets, but I ended up doing the premix with just one set. I hadn't anticipated all that extra running around. LOL

I'm glad both the boys feel free to call me and tell me things, and honestly I worked hard to make sure that was the case. OTOH they will not call their Dad with problems. That means I get the my car won't start, I locked my keys in the car and I'm no longer engaged calls, which is just fine with me. Oh, and the midnight, has my car in Marquette, where is the proof of insurance etc, because a cop stopped me and wants it. That was a fun one. Brights on, no ticket, but still. And yes, good they realized now, and I think it will help that they are so far apart they can't run into each other. Though Derek is a very good at staying friends with ex's.

Valerie you'd think that after some time of going crazy kitty would crash in the car, but no guarantees. Hopefully, getting used to the car and carrier will help. Sounds like your procedure Monday will be fast and good to get done.

Judy great news about your cholesterol.

It’s been a busy morning. Much better than not having enough work! Yesterday I planned to do my usual Monday total body workout, but my shoulder was really bothering me, so I did LMR lower body plus the balance disc bonus. Brownie points for me for getting in balance work. I also did STS 2.0 abs with the mini-ball.

Well, I started this post about an hour ago and got sidelined. My brother called and told me my father had basically set the woods on fire. He’s burning a bunch of crap, even though Mom advised against it, but Dad doesn’t listen to anybody. Period. So I went over and helped put out the flames. Fortunately we didn’t need to call the fire department. I would like to give that man a piece of my mind … but I tried that a while back and it didn’t do a bit of good and just made matters worse. He probably needs to be locked up somewhere, I swear.

Now, back to our originally scheduled program. Did you know there’s a condition called “mouse shoulder?” True story. I’ve been having shoulder problems and have done a lot of online research. I’m pretty sure it’s a rotator cuff issue, but not the typical major tear that requires surgery sort of thing. More along the lines of tendinitis, which can lead to a compressed nerve and the pins and needles I experienced earlier. Anyhow, one very common cause is the hunched forward position we get on computers, and I especially experience when I’m doing intense design work using the mouse a lot. So I’m going to look for a more ergonomic desk and pay special attention to posture. I’m fine when I’m typing, but the mouse kills me.

Cathy – I’m sorry Derek and Aliah broke up. They’ve been together for quite a while, haven’t they? I hope he continues to do okay. That was very nice of you to make sure the dog got back home safely.

Valerie – I’m glad you were able to get your battery replacement scheduled so soon. You sure don’t want it to quit on you.

Carolyn – nice jobs with Super Sets Total Body. Is that the one that has unilateral work? If so, it’s my favorite.

Diane – I hope you and your grandson had fun yesterday. My mom got to babysit her great grandson last week and had a blast. She turns into a 75-year-old kid when she babysits, LOL.

Judy – Congrats on the good mammogram results, as well as the other tests. Yes, that is always a relief.

Okay, I’d better get back to work now. Hopefully my brother won’t call again with another fire emergency. He’s paralyzed, so he can’t help, in case you’re wondering.

This morning I did LMR Functional Mobility Fusion, 42 minutes, 156 calories burned, average heart rate 112, and maximum heart rate 145.

Diane Sue, great job with Gloved Up and Ready and LMR Upper Body Foam Rolling.

Judy, great job with 30 minute Peloton Strength workout. That’s wonderful news about your mammogram and cholesterol levels.

Cathy, you had a full morning rescuing your neighbor’s dog. I’m glad that you could still fit in a timesaver from STS 2 Trisets.

Hello to Valerie and Shannon.

Had my annual physical this morning. she used to be in a close by office. a few years ago moved to one a ways away from here. I liked her so I commute there but some(???) mornings traffic is not great. it was terrible and then thinned out abruptly so our drive wasn't bad. DH went along for another shopping stop but we changed our minds after my appt didnt finish in time. All ok but another day with medical theme.

cathy that was good of you to marshal the neighbor dog back to his yard before he got run over. I didnt get the carrier yet but possibly later today or latest, tomorrow. my goal is to make him comfortable in it right away with hopefully enough room to move around that he doesnt go nutso in the back seat. overall his behavior is decent but when he gets revved up he flies around and meows like crazy.

shannon Ive heard of "tech neck "but mouse shoulder is a new one. overuse movements are troublesome habits to adjust. .

well, the pacer is not near quitting, but once the charge drops below a certain level it's time to schedule replacement in the next several months. . battery had been holding steady for years but suddenly dropped to the "replace" zone. February isn't a great weather month so we decided to do it ASAP so it doesn't interfere in spring. I needed to do that before any knee surgery too. I was surprised I could set it up so quickly. it will mess with upper body weights for a week or two. maybe longer. will have to see how big the incision is and whether anything pulls on it. men especially can have pacemakers that show thru the skin but my boob tissue starts high enough so its invisible. I also have decent muscle in the shoulder which helps camoflage

judy congrats on a negative mamm. that is always a stress maker.

My goodness, that fire stuff is scary! I have family members that are stubborn like that too. NOTHING you tell them gets through!

I had never heard of mouse shoulder. It's so awful how these computers & phones cause so many problems while being such a convenience at the same time. I hope you can get a handle on it & stop any more problems.

Good morning, ladies. Yesterday I was supposed to do my low impact version of X10, but I went on a walk instead. It was 60 degrees and just beautiful. And I think I was still a little antsy from the fire debacle, so it felt good to get out of the house.

Carolyn – nice work on Functional Mobility Fusion. I may do that today.

Valerie – I’m glad your physical went well, even though the traffic sucked. Yes, I’ve had overuse issues in the past, and they are hard to deal with.

Deanna – Hello. Are you just stopping by, or are you going to join us?

Hello to Judy, Cathy and Diane.

Yesterday I went for a 30-minute walk with my husband then I did a 60-minute Peloton ride.

Cathy-Great job with the STS2 Trisets premix. That’s so good that you were able to help the dog get back home.

Shannon-Great job with LMR lower body plus the balance disc bonus and STS 2.0 abs with the mini-ball. I hadn’t heard of mouse shoulder but I can definitely see how that can happen and I might even have a little of that going on with my shoulder.

Carolyn-Great job with LMR Functional Mobility Fusion.

Valerie-That’s great that your physical went well. I hear you about days with a medical theme. That was me last week and my husband will be doing it next week.

Hi to Diane Sue

Did the Lower/Upper Balance Discs with SB Extended Stretch this morning. This is my third week of doing them twice and I've seen improvement, but still more to go. My family has balance issues and that's one thing I don't want. Not just my parents, but my sister says she does, too and she's 6 years younger than I am.

Shannon wow that would be scary about the fire. It's so hard when people are still in control of their lives, but really need assistance. My Mom and her Mother are prime examples. Grandma stayed alone in her house at least 3 years past when she should have.

Today I did KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix, workout one. That was 26 minutes, 180 calories burned, average heart rate 133, and maximum heart rate 171. I had my virtual WW meeting after that.

Valerie, it always feels good to get the annual physical behind you. That’s a quick turnaround on scheduling your pacemaker battery replacement.

Shannon, nice job with your walk outside.

Judy, nice job with your Peloton ride and walking with your husband.

Cathy, nice job with Lower/Upper Balance Discs and SB Extended Stretch.

Hello to Diane Sue.

Have a wonderful day everyone.
