Peeps?

OK, I know some of my buds are still lurking. I miss having a check-in home, since my melters have disbanded and the PYGOers and Smilers are down to weekly posting. I'd like to start a new check-in for anyone who just wants to share workouts and maybe some diet successes. If no one joins, I'll understand, but otherwise, all are welcome to join me....

Today is day two on my goal to eat cleaner. I did pretty well yesterday with the clean part, but still ate too many calories. Today is another day.

No workout for me today. I have a kids program at church in the early evening and don't have time to fit one in. I've been doing a 4DS rotation this week.

Anyone else?
 
Hey Robin! I am starting a "diet" notebook today just to track what I am actually eating - it hasn't been pretty lately! I also started back on the TM last night. Not sure what is on tap for tonight, but I'm thinking just a short full body workout - try to hit each muscle group briefly. I want to work myself back into working out without turning myself off to it. I have a tendency to try to do everything all at once and then working out becomes more of a chore. My goal is to get into decent shape so that I can actually do STS when it comes out. ;)
 
Hiya!! I'll be a peep :)

My eating hasn't been bad -- actually, I haven't had much of an appetite lately. Now that the Melter's have disbanded I've fianlly started melting -- lol!! The CCPP workout I did the other day was my first workout in about 2 weeks. I just haven't had time to fit everything in with my DFIL in the hospital and my nephew's wedding, but I'd like to get back on track. Like Liann, I want to be in the best possible shape by the time STS is released. I'm going to resume my kettlebell rotation. I was well on my way with that before my FIL got sick so I'm going to start back again with The Kettlebell Way.

I've been doing the 100 push up challenge, too, and I'm going to continue with that.

I'll play too! My eating and drinking haven't been stellar,due to certain stressors which is just an excuse I think, but am trying to get it together..

Workouts have been great actually...I did Lauren's Kettlebell workout last night with a 25 pound kettlebell for the whole thing. I was very proud of myself. :)

Today is going to be a CC, I had planned on 7 I think, and then some sort of leg workout at the gym...

Well, after shoving a half bag of licorice and parmesean/garlic kettle chips in my mouth last night, I need to get back on track with my eating:confused: GRRR why is it always a struggle to be good and eat right:(

Workout today will be 4DS KB & BC premix if I can pull my butt away from the computer.

I'd like to jump in, too, but I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been working out lately. I've been traveling for work a lot and have some other stuff going on that has just prevented it. However, I'm going on vacation next week (to beautiful northern Michigan) and plan to get back on track when I return. May I join you then? Or, maybe while I'm on vacation. I think I'll have Internet access there.

My eating has been sporadic lately. I'm trying to be really healthy, but I don't have much appetite lately. Another thing to work on while on vacation.

Michele - With all this talk of kettlebells, I guess I need to dust mine off and give it a whirl again. Figuratively, not literally!

I'll join in :) Almost finished with Fitness Freak's Sept. 08 leg blast rotation. Had pretty good results in slimming the lower body.

I'll be doing KickMax tonight :p

I've been following Precision Nutrition for about 4 weeks and lost 10 pounds, but had some stressful situations rear their ugly heads :mad: I've maintained my loss so that is good. I tend to turn to food when stressed:confused:

I think I will do some heavy lifting for Oct.

Yea! I'm so glad to have a check-in home again. And no pressure to anyone about doing personals, 'kay? Sometimes, all I have time to do is a quick read, and post to say hi. Oh, now I feel all warm and fuzzy!

Diet - greatly improved since I returned from Vegas last week. Trying to get rid of a few stubborn pounds, so I've been having salads for lunch all week (except today, because I always go out for a sandwich on Wednesdays).

Workout - I did GS Legs (standing only) and Power Circuit Abs this morning. Tomorrow will be some kind of cardio... I'm thinking IMAX3, maybe. :)

I wanna play! Hopefully, this new check-in will help me keep my focus and game face on so I do not look like a microwaved marshmallow peep when Easter arrives. LOL! Seeing so many familiar faces makes my heart smile. I am hoping to find the warm fuzzies of Catheland that were lost in the move.

I lost 6 pounds in September for a total of 26 pounds since I started eating intuitively on the 4th of July. That is 10 percent of my starting weight. Yippee! I am 35 pounds from Onederland!

It feels good to be walking in the light again after stumbling through darkness this past summer. After a 3-month weight training hiatus, I am back on track with a rotation. I decided to focus on light and fun workouts in September and have been enjoying Supersets and Push Pull for weight training, Cathe’s kickboxing premixes and dancy step workouts on the floor for cardio, Total Body Stretching, and Zumba classes at the club for fun.

I am wrapping up the 4th week of my Supersets/Push Pull rotation. I want to be ready for STS the first week in January. I am planning to start the 4-Day Split in November and possibly the Slow and Heavy series in December. What would be good for the next 4 weeks? Muscle Max? Muscle Endurance?

I am looking forward to my Zumba class tonight. Fun, fun, fun!

Robin, thanks for starting this check-in. I miss having a more active check-in home too. I hope I can keep up with personals. I love interacting with everyone when I have time, but I am glad there is no pressure here.

Liann, I recommend Supersets! That is my go-to workout when I need something fun to inspire me.

Michele, I am keeping your family in my prayers.

Tneah, I understand stress eating. I read Intuitive Eating earlier this year, and it is the most effective way I know to kick binge eating to the curb. Enjoy your workout today.

JJ, that is the most intense 4-Day Split premix. The Kickbox cardio premix is my favorite. Fun, fun, fun!

Can I be a peep too?

I haven't eaten much the past couple of days because I'm sick. Nothing is appealing. Of course, I haven't worked out either, but I just about have the energy to take the dogs around the block and then collapse on the couch.

Hoping to feel better by the weekend since I'm running a 5K on Sunday.
 
Hey girls! I'll be a peep. I have tried check in before but it was so time consuming to do all of the personals and then I felt bad.
Anyway, yesterday was my long run, 12 miles. Today is a rest day. I might do some yoga later. We shall see.
I am just trying to do my best with eating. All of the running makes me super hungry.

Great check in.

I was just wondering when I would run into some of you oldies but goodies. Lately, I have been quickly skimming the open discussion forum, do my Cheetah check in and then off to real life.

Today was Leaner Legs and yoga class. I have been taking a *live* yoga class every Wednesday since mid July. This is the first yoga instructor I have actually gone to more than one class with. She is great at getting us aligned and at explaining how and why we do the poses we do.

Shellers- good luck and rest up for your 5K race!
 
Quick pop in to say hi to the "peeps" Wanted to again thank all for prayers for BIL. He is out of surgery and in the recovery room. Turned out to be a blood clot and he is expected to do well. Now, they just want to find out why he bled. They are checking pathology as well to make sure there wasn't any signs of malignancy, but it really didn't look that way.

I am dying to get a workout in!!!

I haven't been around the forums for awhile & I stopped working out for awhile too. But I'm back at it now. This morning, I did PUB Down Only Premix, followed by 4DS HIS cardio only.

No time for many personals right now but I just wanted to thank Catherine for the update. I'm so glad to hear that your BIL's surgery went well & I hope he recovers quickly. I also hope you get your workout in too.

Well, off to do more laundry & housework now. Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

Just wanted to check in and tell Catherine I am so glad her BIL's surgery went well and it looks promising. I know you must be SO relieved.

Shelley--Hope you get to feeling better soon!!

No matter what ANY of you ate today, you can rest easy and know that I did worse. Sonic. Nuff said. It's my last day of "real food" for awhile. Hospital food for the rest of the week, including a clear liquid diet tomorrow after surgery. Blech. So, I had to get a milkshake. Next week, I'm hoping to return to cleanish eating.

Enjoy your new check-in! Keep it going until I get back!!! I'll need all the support I can get!!! See ya in a couple/few weeks!!

(Oh, and if you think about it, say a little prayer for baby/me in the morning... :))

I want to be a PEEP!!!

I have been working really hard to step up my workout routine and get on track. In the past week I've done Imax 2, Body Max 2 and drill Max. Tomorrow I am planning on Muscle Max. Seems like I'm on a MAX roll.
Unfortunately I've been eating to the MAX too!! :D:D
 
Oh yeah, and since I'm going to Cathe's gym on the 20th, I don't want her to have to peel me off the floor again!!! It's embarassing and all her "regulars" are tired of stepping over me. :eek::eek:

Just wanted to say hi to the Peeps and send Shelley some healing vibes, tell Catherine I'm glad to hear the good news about her BIL, and wish Stephanie well in the hospital!

For those who saw my expanding waistline thread, I will add that my waistline is still continuing to expand. :( I've never been thru anything quite like this. My eating and life have not changed as far as I can tell. If anything, my waistline expands even more on days when I'm very controlled! I guess I should call it the Mystery of the Expanding Waistline. I'm still looking for clues!
