Good morning! Did I beat Ellie's rooster this morning???

I just kind of woke up when my alarm went off the first time....no snooze button for me. Oh, yeah, and my cat kept scratching my door! GRRRRRRRRR!

So I'm dressed and ready to go. I'm hitting the treadmill this morning for a 40 minute iTread and then Core Max.

Temps are LOW and winds are HIGH! Keeping an eye on the schools, because they tend to delay-start us with these kinds of temps. And it's only supposed to get worse as the weekend draws closer.

OK.....time to work work!!! BBL after my workout.

Today is kettlebellls. I will be doing the Manmaker workout off of the Empire State dvd.

Phyllis~ My rope is from the Art Of Strength website. Its a thick manilla rope, not a jump rope. its a fun and different way to get your cardio in.

It's COLD here today!!!!
The rooster was up and wanted his breakfast before I even made the coffee! It's show and share day at preschool and he has a really cool Pokemon card. At least that's what he tells me. I'm still tryimg to tell him he still has 3 more hours until he needs to go!!!!
Now I must get other DS up and ready.

I am meeting a friend today who has 2 treadmills and we are doing a long walk/run together. My heels are a little sore from BC yesterday. But I'll give it a shot.

The migraine has left the building yeehaw! No pressure whatsoever so I'm a happy camper.

The plan for today is CCv1 and 200 kettlebell swings.

Deanie I have yet to do manmakers I need to though how long are they roughly?

Ellie sounds like you'll have fun today with your friend. Nice that she has two TMs.

Your rooster must be really anxious to show off that card lol maybe when he's a teen you can get him up as a rooster too lol

I rolled over and turned the alarm off today. It was SUPPOSED to be PS legs.

Deanie-I got it now. lol Simple. It's always simple and SOUNDS harder! :)

Ellie-I'm IN for Thursday afternoon and Friday. I'll call you with/for details tonight, OK?

Vilma-I worry that my cat is going to wake my kids, although they always tell me they don't hear him. I've started putting a big pillow propped up against my door (on the hallway side) to try to keep him from scratching the wood door (he's got claws and USES them), but this morning he just knocked it over. CATS!

Phyllis-at least you got some more sleep, right? HA!

I ended up doing iTread 10 (35 minutes), logged 3.57 miles and then did Core Max 1.

Time to get the kids started.

Good Morning Peeps!

This morning I was originally planning on doing PP, but my hamstrings and lower back have been really tight ever since doing PP last Thurs. I usually have really good form, but something must have been off. I know my weights weren't too heavy as I used lighter ones than normal after not lifting in so long. So this morning I think I'll warm up on the elliptical for 10 minutes then do something like Power Yoga for Flexibility, or maybe something with fewer sun salutations. My left thumb has been bothering me off and on for months and has not had a time to truly get better (repetitive use injury?) so I have been avoiding power yoga for the past few months because too many down sun salutations aggravates it. I planned on starting to do 20 minutes of yoga at night, but things always come up and I haven't been getting it done.

My older brother is going to be in town today so I'm meeting him for lunch, then I get to take DD to the dentist to possibly have a tooth pulled. And of course, ever since I made the appt she hasn't complained about it once! LOL

Hi all peeps!

Cold one here this morning, around 6 with a wind chill of -17, but it doesn't feel too bad, actually. I know, it gets worse by the end of the week here, but I like to take this weather one day at a time.

Today was 4DS HIS, and I added the core section from LIS. All done with the 4DS portion of the rotation, tomorrow may be Squeeze Stronger, we shall see since the day calls for yoga or pilates...

We celebrated with steaks, champagne, and cake last night. I mean literally. That is what I ate for dinner, steak and champagne with cake for dessert. DH and I are planning to go out soon, but this was fine for now.

Vilma~ Glad you are headache free today!! Manmakers: start in pushup position with your hands on the dumbells. do a push up, row R, pushup, row L, pushup, squat thrust to standing while cleaning the dbs, db overhead push(?) and back down to do the whole thing over again.:eek: the manmaker workout on ES is: 2 min. manmakers, 1 minute active rest (the pump), 2 min. swings, 1 min. active rest (same as before), 2 min. crush curls/tri.

Phyllis~ I am jealous!!! I really would have loved to sleep in today!!

Yesterday I got a great 1 hour elliptical workout in, so my endurance is returning, which is what I was shooting for.

Today will be a return to Cathe, with GS Legs and BC abs scheduled.

Looking forward to Friday, gang!

Morning Peeps:

I saw my doctor yesterday and he believes my hip pain is a strained oblique and some tendonitis at the point that it attaches to my pelvic bone. Phew...nothing serious:) I have the OK to workout as long as it doesn't agravate the strain.

I'm going to do a CC on my elliptical and see how it goes. Then I have a massage later. Hopefully that will help my oblique muscle.

Gayle~ Have fun with your iTread. I'm starting to get into those too. I always thought I was a runner but after doing those, I'm actually between jogger & runner but closer to jogger. Lots of room for improvement;)

Deanie~ How do you like the ropes? I haven't done manmaker yet and now I have to lay off kettlebells until my oblique heals:(. I think the russian twists with weight are what may have caused my strain.

Ellie~ I didn't know Pokoman cards were still around. My DS was into them as a kid and he is 21 now:confused: Are you still in safe mode?

Vilma~ Yay..so glad to hear your migrane is gone! See ya in CC land:)

Phyllis~ Enjoy your extra sleep!

Jill~ Hope the yoga helps with your hammies & back. I enjoy yoga but never seem to find time to do it. I totally get your DD and the dentist thing;)

Guten Morgen, Peeps! :)

I slept well, then got up and did LIS from 4DS and Stretch Max with the resistance band.

Houdini took no nap yesterday (not good) but went down without a fight at bedtime (GOOD!) She talked to herself for 45 minutes (even though she was tired, she kept the conversation going--just like her mommy!) but made ZERO escape attempts. Hurrah!

Ellie--Is that your game room? LOVE THE IKEA furniture!!

Phyllis--Enjoy sleeping in today!

Vilma--I'm so glad you are pain free this morning!

Jill--Wow, you have a busy day today. Enjoy lunch with your brother!

Hi everyone. I did my hill climb TM workout last night and loved every tortuous minute of it :p. I added in some speed drills at the end and felt great. I was going to come home and do a Core Max segment, but that didn't happen.

Tonight will be a circuit workout, not sure which yet though.

Phyllis - I totally slept through my alarm this morning. I was so tired, so I hear you about turning off the alarm and rolling over.

Gayle - great workout today. I love itread workouts. I haven't done one in awhile, so I just might have to add that to the list next week.

Jill - have fun at lunch with your brother. I hope that your hamstrings and back loosen up soon.

Conni - I just played around with HIS for the first time on Sunday. I made some modifications, but I thought it was fun!! I don't have Squeeze Stronger but I have the lower body Squeeze workout. Wow, my butt hurt for days after that workout.

Ellie - how was your TM workout with your friend?
 
JJ-for the iTreads, I start out at a number just above the jogger numbers, then as I warm up I go higher but not quite as high as the runner numbers. I'm getting there!

Deanie-HOLY COW, BATMAN! Manmakers hurt just HEARING about them! LOL

Jerry-do BC abs twice, repeating each segment as they pop up! That's my favorite ab workout and gives me DOMS everytime!

I may be without my computer all day tomorrow!!! Yikes.
Computerguy said there's lots of adware and spyware from the downloads that my nieces and nephews did over Christmas. No viruses or anything thank God

It's very hard to run on a treadmill when you are laughing!!! :D:D:D
We had a lot of fun and got a good 3 mile run in. My heels still hurt though.

Wendy- I am marinating!!!! I can't wait to put it in the oven!! I don't think i can remember the last time i ever marinated something. I feel kinda all grown up now!!

Deanie- I'm still cofused about the ropes. What do you do with them. Is it hard. I like to try new things for when i get bored with the same old, it gets me motivated again.

GS Legs and BC Abs in the books!! No, Gayle, I didn't do the Ab section twice, I figure Cathe will have some sort of ab work in store on Friday.

Those slo-mo lunges are crazy tough, I haven't been able to complete both legs without pausing yet, but look forward to doing so one day.

I don't do the floor work on GS Legs, my flexibility just isn't there for some of the moves, and I don't think it will ever get there due to my spinal stenosis...I'm quite happy with the standing work, however.

Deanie- I LOVE the ropes. Sooooo cool. I need to go checkout art of strength now. I had never even heard of ropes.

Do Not tell DH- he'll be wanting to tie me to a tree outside or something when I get him mad!!! ha Ha
