Morning all. Wow! I got home from church last night to find a gift from a very generous friend. She sent my a Kettlebell!!! I can't wait to try it out this evening. Now I feel like one of the cool kids.

Judy, DH and I just have el cheapo MP3 players. All I use mine for is my CC workouts. DH has all of Jimmy Buffett's music on his. He subjects his poor students to Jimmy all day. DD has an iPod her boyfriend bought her. I know she'd be lost without it.

Catherine, did I see a mention of SZ2 over on Tracey's website?

LaDonna, I'm getting excited about your race. Have fun with your easy run today.

Beth, LOL at KidMax. That's what it sometimes feels like. Last night I had to give the lesson, and I actually got them to be quiet and listen for a bit.

Wendy, isn't it funny how much cats hate closed doors? They always want to be on the other side.

ellie, are you feeling any better today?

Heather, sorry to hear about the cramps, but high fives on figuring out a doable workout.

JJ, what cardio did you decide on yesterday. I think I only did the scrambled eggs once. I'm not big on premixes. Not sure why...

Karin!!! How did your dad do? He's been in my prayers.

Shelley, yay for KB workouts. I still don't get why they are so danged expensive though.

Vilma, Dani, Catherine, Liann, anyone else, good morning all! I'm out of time and have to hit the road. See you all later.

Good Morning Robin & All who Follow!

CCv2 is completed and I have a busy day scheduled once again so not even sure if I'll be able to check in for the rest of the day.

Robin what an awesome gift from your friend! :)
I really love kettlebells and I hope you find it good for you. Be prepared to feel DOMs in areas you're not used too lol.

Ellie did the whiskey work? ;) Hope your feeling better

Heather are your cramps all but gone? Here's hoping you have a good day from Mother Nature's giftie.

LaDonna Good Luck on your half mary this weekend.

Hope you all have a Great Thursday!

Morning!

Robin - YAY for kettlebells and generous friends! Definitely prepare for your upper body to be completely useless and your legs to be screaming ;-)

Vilma - I hope you get a chance to relax some in your busy day!

Hi to everyone else. Workout today is a six mile run. Have a fabulous day!

Is Thrilled for Robin and her KB:eek::eek:

Wonders if Vilma had any suprises on the couch this morn? ;)

Hopes Shelley has a good run today.

Sending more good vibes and prayers for Karin and family :)

I can not decide if I will rest today or tomorrow. I guess I'll see how I feel after work.

Have a good day everyone!!

Morning Peeps.
I wonder how Ellie feels this morning. I wonder if she has a hangover on top of the cold! LOL.:p
I have a 3 mile easy run this morning then I am resting the rest of the week. Is it Thursday already? Yep I looked at the bottom of my screen to check. This week has been a fast one.
ROBIN I am getting excited about the race too. And nervous. That is so cool that a friend sent you a KB. Have fun with it.
VILMA I have still not tried a CC at all. I did buy the iTread outdoor and I just didn't care for it. I cannot go with the perceived exertion stuff. I either go too fast or too slow. Have you tried the iTread outdoors? Is it like a CC? That is what is stopping me from purchasing them. I just didn't click on the outdoor iTreads.
SHELLY Have fun on that 6 miles. You are training for a long race aren't you? Have a great day!
CATHERINE Ooooo I really like that green color! Today is your Friday right? Is this every week or did you just take this Friday off? Enjoy your day.

Ok I will be back later to see all the other peeps! Enjoy your Thursday!

Hi Peeps!

I just got out of bed a few minutes ago & I haven't even had my coffee. This morning, I plan to do some yoga first (because I'm still suffering from major DOMS in my lower body), followed by BBC Shoulders & Back, & some form of cardio. I don't know if I'll do the BBC non-treadmill cardio or not because it gets awfully boring after awhile. Plus, I've been trying to take off a few pounds I've gained but when I weighed this morning, it showed that I've actually gained weight instead! I don't get it. I've been eating super clean & working out like crazy but I've gained weight. I told DH this morning it makes a person just want to go back to eating everything in sight instead of having salads every night. But I know that's not going to help either so I guess I'll just get my rear-end downstairs & get started on my workout. I have been working out with heavy weights so maybe it's just muscle mass...?

Robin - What a great gift from a great friend! I absolutely LOVE my kettlebells & use them at least once every week. Let us know what you think after you try it out.

Vilma - Good job on your cardio coach workout this morning. Hope you have a good day!

Shelley - Are you feeling better? I hope so. Enjoy your run today!

Catherine - Hope you have a good day at work & enjoy your workout or rest day, whichever it may be!

LaDonna - I agree... it's been a fast week so far. Enjoy your run & the rest of the week resting up for the race.

Hi to everyone else who checks in later too!

I'm off to get some coffee & get ready to work out now. After that, I'll probably take the recycles off, do some housework, & probably do some pressure washing this afternoon. If I can, I'll try to check back in later.

Take care,

Kel

Yikes! Well, I had high hopes for work this morning. We would have been adequately staffed for the first time in 2 weeks. Then someone called in to tell us his father in Ohio had a heart attack last night, so he is headed out that-a-way. I'm not sure how long he'll be off.

At least the supervisor came in and said she'd buy us all lunch today. We're going to have Chinese. Yum-a-dim-sum.

Peeps Check-in

Peeps:

Good morning! I had fun at my Zumba class last night. I asked about the DVDs for home workouts. My Zumba teacher has never personally seen them, but she was told at the certification training that the home version is basically for "entertainment" (and not good for a workout). My feet were crying after class, and it was not because of impact. It is time for new shoes. I do not have any money in my fitness savings since STS was so expensive, so I need to take some old shoes to the consignment shop before I buy new ones. The shoes I wear to work need to be replaced too. I can always tell when it is time for new shoes because my feet are sore all the time. Losing this extra weight I am hauling around would help too. Why is it that I can gain 30 pounds in 4 weeks, but it takes 4 months to lose it? I read an article earlier this week about needing 3 hours of exercise a day to conquer genetic obesity. I believe it! The only time I have weighed less than 200 pounds since I started my fitness journey was when I was exercising 3 hours a day or after a 40-day juice fast. Fasting produces a temporary loss of water weight that returns as fast as it left as soon as I start eating again. If I spend most of my workout time in the pool or on a recumbent bike, I think I can do it. This is not about what I look like or what size I wear. I want to feel good, have consistent energy, and be free from constant pain in my feet. I have been hauling this weight around for too long. I am thankful that I am making progress in the right direction. I need to keep my focus and game face on and keep pressing on.

I am feeling better this morning with no more cramps. I did not sleep well last night. I went to bed early last night and woke up a few hours later at 1:00 a.m. I read until I fell asleep at 3:00 a.m. The Power Circuit cardio was my quick morning workout.

Karin, you and your father and family have been on my heart and in my prayers continually. Please post an update when you have time.

Ellie, you are so funny. Step away from the whiskey! Emergen-C will kick that cold to the curb without a hangover. I have read that it is good for a hangover too.

Robin, enjoy your new toy!

Vilma, great job on that workout this morning.

Shelley, have a fun run.

Catherine, does Thursday feel like Friday to you?

LaDonna, have a fun run. I cannot imagine referring to 3 miles as easy. Wow!

Kel, I usually gain weight when I start lifting heavy before I lose. The muscles retain water or something. Kick the scale to the curb!

Hugs to Debbie and all the peeps who visit today!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Just wanted to pop back on and say hi to the peeps that came on after me.

HEATHER Hey there. I can't wait to try Zumba. It sounds like lots o fun. I can't imagine working out for 3 hours a day but I had been going on 2 hour training run for my race so I am sure it is doable. It is just hard to fit that much extra time into the day. I am glad that the cramps are gone for you. Are you tired since you were up in the middle of the night? Have a great day!
KEL I feel the same way about weight loss. It seems that my body wants to stay right where it is and since I am healthy I am not going to worry about it. Have a good workout.
DEBBIE Hi there. Nice to "see" you.
ROBIN Yay for Chinese food. I love it.

TTYL!!!

Robin, gosh you seem to have a lot of tragedy around your work place :( (hugs) Hope your day goes well:)

Heather, glad you are feeling better!

Kel, sending you a big pot of coffe ;)

LD, yes I have every Friday off. Next week I am also off on Wed because I am going to a seminar. The following week I am off on Thursday too because I have my annual check-up

Deb, how the heck are ya hun?

Guten Morgen Peeps!

I've got S&H Tris/Bis & Legs today. My chest is still sore from Tuesday:confused: I changed my mind yesterday and did CIA Bosu Blast + core. Those planks on the bosu (turned upside down) are killer.

Robin~ Enjoy your new KB. What a generous friend you have:) I gotta give these a try!

Vilma~ CC2.....What a great way to start the day!

Shelley~ Have a good run. Sounds like you are feeling better:)

Catherine~ I love rest days!

LaDonna~ I'll be thinking of you on Sunday! I'm sure you'll do great;)

Kel~ Have fun with BBC. I got that for Xmas last year and still haven't opened it yet:eek:

Debbie~ HI...hope you get a chance to check back in

Heather~ Glad you are feeling better. ITA with the weight thing. It is way too easy to put it on and sooooo hard to take it off. {{{hugs}}}

Karin~ How is your dad doing? Hope the surgery went well and he's on the road to recovery.

Big hello to all that follow!

Judi

Hola Peepers,

OK, I have not eaten breakfast or had coffee yet, so I will not attempt greetings to all at this point or it shall be rambling and full of typos...LOL! But I wanted to say hi and announce--that for the first time EVER--I did Drill Max this morning. The whole thing (OK, that's a lie. I did not do: dive bomber push ups, nor did I do the squat thrusts, or the scissor lunges, so I did about...hmmm..90 percent?) Anyhoo, I did not do a premix but I did it! Yahoo! I feel so accomplished. Luckily DD slept later because this took up a lot of time this morning, but sooooo worth it!

OK, now to go eat back the calories burned with oatmeal, dried cranberries, walnuts, and a splash of Pumpkin flavored Coffee-mate over the top. YUMMY!

Did want to say to HEATHER that you aren't the only one with old shoes!!! Mine are...welll...gosh, I don't know how old they are but they are old Reebock aerobics shoes. I'm sure my feet would be oh-so-grateful for a new pair, but that's not in the budget right now. Sigh. Zumba class sounds totally cool and quite the calorie burner, too!

Will return later for personals...that's the fun part of the day for me!

:) Wendy

Hi peeps! Thanks for asking about my dad and keeping him in your prayers. You guys are awesome. Yesterday was a tough day, not that I thought it would be any different but it knocked me on my behind. My dad’s surgery went really well. His kidney was successfully removed along with the tumor. They also removed the lymph nodes in the area. The doctor didn’t see any evidence of them being affected but they removed them anyway. We saw my dad after his surgery and he looked awesome. He was talking and feeling pretty good, that was around 2:00. I was pretty psyched and feeling good. Then his epidural from surgery started wearing off around 5:30 and he was having the cramps/spasms and it was heartbreaking :(. We had to leave him around 7:00 and I felt so bad, but they pretty much had his pain at a measurable level before we left. I slept so well last night after worrying about this for 6 weeks. It’s finally over and now he just has to heal. Thank goodness.

Robin, another KBer. I might have to get on the bandwagon someday. I am kind of clutzy and I feel like I am going to hurt myself or my house swinging around the KB :). Sorry to hear that you are under-staffed again. I am sure that makes for a very long day. I worked in a hospital lab for awhile and it was pretty stressful.

Vilma, I love CC workouts. I have all of them and typically do one a week on my spinning bike. It’s my favorite exercise day.

Shelley, how was your run? Are you training for an event?

Catherine, thanks for your thoughts and positive vibes.

LaDonna, this week is going by quickly, isn’t it? I’m excited to hear how your half marathon goes this weekend.

Kel, I hope that you’ve had a chance to get your coffee. I can’t function without mine. I’m sorry that your body isn’t responding like you want it to with your workouts and eating, but it might just take time. I know what you mean about throwing in the towel though. For the past couple of weeks I have kind of thrown in my towel too. I hope to get back on the bandwagon soon.

Heather, Zumba sounds like fun. I’ve always wanted to take a live class but haven’t had a chance to find one in my area yet. You work so hard and I admire your positive attitude. Just keep truckin’ girl and you will eventually get there.

Judi, planks on a bosu are so hard. I love that section of Bosu Blast.

Wendy, your breakfast sounds awesome. I’m going to try that some time.

Karin, so glad that the surgery went well. Sorry to hear about the pain. I can only imagine how hard that was to watch. Try to get some extra rest, you need it. More prayers coming your way!!

Popping (or should I say Peeping) back in for a minute before I get the pressure washer out & get started on that...

Robin - Sorry you're going to be short handed at work again but Chinese for lunch sounds yummy. Enjoy!

Debbie - HI!

Heather - That Zumba class sounds like a blast! Glad you enjoyed it but sorry your feet were hurting. Hopefully, you can get some new shoes soon. I know what you mean about gaining quickly & losing weight so slowly. I wonder why that is? Glad things are going in the right direction for you now & I'm glad the cramps are gone. You're right about the scale too. Consider it kicked!

Catherine - Thanks for the coffee... it did the trick!

LaDonna - When are you taking that Zumba class? I wish they offered things like that in my area...

Judi - I don't have S&H but it's on my wish list. I understand it's a killer series. I really like BBC for a change from Cathe but I only do it 1 week at a time. For some reason, it wipes me out after a week. But it also really works me out good too so it's worth it. Let me know what you think when you try it out.

Wendy - Way to go on Drill Max!!! I don't have that one either. The only 2 I bought from that series were LIC & Cardio Fusion. I really want the others but I can't afford them right now. Maybe for Christmas...

Karin - So good to hear how well the surgery went! But I'm sorry your dad was in such pain after the epidural wore off. Hopefully, he will recover & heal quickly. I'll be sure to keep you, your dad, & your whole family in my thoughts. Yes, coffee is definitely a necessity for me too. About eating clean & working out... that was my problem. I quit working out & just ate like crazy for several weeks & I've just been back on track for only 3 or 4 weeks now. Like you said, I guess it will just take some time.

Well, off to have a snack for lunch & then get into some pressure washing.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon!

Kel

Peepettes!!

Hi to everyone here today :) Hope your day is going good.

It's a beautiful sunny day in Ohio today, I wish I didn't have to work because I'd be doing some sort of outdoor workout. Oh well.

Terminator kick my behind last night, man that's a killer!

Hello to everyone that follows :) Have a great day!

Good Afternoon Everyone.
I went to the Dr. this am (stinkin' of whiskey) and got some antibiotics and other stuff. I'm not real big on antibiotics, but considering it's been almost a week, getting more green and now am hacking up a lung, it just might be necessary!!

Robin~ Enjoy your new KB. I may jump on the bandwagon one day. I'm still getting into weights!!! Did you say microbiologist??? My husband just hired 4 of them. You guys fascinate me. Hope you don't mind if I pick your brain once in a while

Vilma~ I have never done CC but am watching everyone here rave about it

Shelley~ Have a great run!!!

Catherine~ Everyone needs rest days. Take it and enjoy it May pick your brain on some dermatology things too for DS

LaDonna~ Best of luck on Sunday. We'll be rootin for you

Kel~ Have fun with your new workout

Debbie~ Hi. Hope to chat more soon

Heather~ Genetics suck sometimes Heather. Just keep doing what you are doing to be a stronger, healthier woman

Karin~ Glad to hear the surgery went well. Hope your dad is MUCH more comfy today.

Big hello to all that follow!

I am hoping to be feeling well enough to get ready for Cathe's class on Monday.:eek::eek:
Maybe just a wee bit of whiskey..... No can't do that again!! DH insists that I tell you that I barfed. But he doesn't understand. it wasn't the whiskey, it was the damn spinning bed :D:D:D
ellie :)
