Patella Femoral Syndrome

Cathlete
I was diagnosed with patella femoral syndrome in my left knee about a year ago. The Low Impact Series has truly been a savior to my workout routines, so first and foremost - THANK YOU!

Which videos in the series (or other Cathe series) do you recommend most as I continue my path to quad strength for pseudo-recovery? The most difficult challenge I still face is with some of the slide + glide rotations that include transitions to the floor and back (i.e. mountain climbers, spidermans).

Thank You Carol and good luck with your PFS. It is so hard to make a recommendation because my workouts include so much variety within each workout that I am bound to have a move here and there that will be a challenge to your situation. As long as you can do high rep isolation work, I think Turbo Barre could be a good choice (there is also a section for upper body toning in it). But please watch a video clip before you make that choice to be sure.

Thank you so much, Cathe! Turbo Barre is actually one of my favorites of your LIS, and what a leg workout where you least expect it!

I've also discovered the amazing modification of wall squats with the stability ball through your Total Body Tri-Sets, which has been such a gentle change on my knee.

I really appreciate your input, and thank you again for always keeping me motivated - even to power through my PFS limitations. Would love to see PFS as a topic in your weekly newsletter!

How funny Carol, I actually had modified wall squats listed as an option for you in yesterday's response but decided to remove it because certain knee issues can be sensitive to wall squats if not done correctly. I'm glad you are finding them to be a valuable option for you.
