Paris Back to Jail!!

I don't know why I am so estatic about this new development...but I am thrilled with this latest legal victory. Way to go judge!

Right there with you. I would actually pay to see video of her disheveled, makeup and extension-less, being dragged from the courtroom screaming "mommy!" I love it!! Welcome to the real world, sista!! So shocking to discover it doesn't revolve around you, huh?
I bet it comes out later the sheriff who let her go home got paid off by her bloody parents.

Well, good! I am glad the judge stuck to his guns! I actually heard that she is now serving the FULL 45 day sentence.

I spoke to a friend today who works with the sheriff's department (not in L.A. though) and she said, the sheriff probably wanted her out of jail because it is a nightmare to make sure that no pictures are taken of Paris in prison. So they have to search their prison guards several times every day, to make sure no one is taking a cell phone or camera to sneak a picture out. I guess it has become a logistic nightmare for them and therefore, they rather have her under home confinement.

I do feel sorry for her, I am sure being in prison is no walk in the park, however, violating your parole is an automatic prison sentence and she needs to be held accountable like everyone else.

Carola

I agree. She needs to be held accountable. Just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean she should get special treatment and let off the hook. I feel bad for her but then again I don't. You make the bed you sleep in, then again, she doesn't make any beds!

i just read on yahoo news. aww its not right!!! whatever, there are ppl in jail with serious medical conditions but they don't get early release. there are ppl with cancer, aids, and a variety of other serious medical issues, but they serve their time. i am sorry i do not feel bad for her one bit. she threw this whole charade that she was ready to serve her time and move, but apparently that was a load of crap. she just wanted some credit but didn't truly wanted to learn why she was being punished.

"I feel bad for her..."

I don't feel bad for her one single bit...not even a smidge, and I won't apolgize for it. I hear ppl saying the punishment is too harsh. For DUI??? Tell that to the moms out there who will never see their children again because they lost their life to a drunk driver. 45 days is getting off easy!!!

thank god there is some justice. I'm sick of these celebrity-like people who get off with all sorts of stuff.
Its about time people did the right thing.

poor thing. maybe she will be so truamatized by this she will have to write a book on it. that should make the ny times best seller list. we will be hearing about this bimbo for a long time. did you see the pics of her crying? i got a huge laugh out of them.

I think it sends a dangerous message to our society to let her slide b/c of any medical condition. Like a previous poster said, others get sick in jail and still do their time - it's NOT a choice! However, it was her choice to drink and drive. Time to pony up and pay the piper. Lives are lost b/c of this on a daily basis and it IS a serious offense. She couldn't have called her driver to take her where ever she wanted to go??? I wish I had a chauffer.

Also, how hard can jail life be when you are in a special unit and are the only one in your cell? Ummmmm......it's not the Hilton, but try being a guy in a cell at a state or federal prison. Not that I have been there or even know anyone who has (thankfully) but.......... No pun intended. LOL!

I totally agree with this. I lost 2 very dear friends to a drunk driver. They were husband and wife and left behind two children. It was heartbreaking. The drunk driver was a repeat offender. I have no sympathy for drunk driving.

I have to say people in jail receive medical treatment all the time. They get better health care then people on the outside with no insurance. Its the law. It was her choice to drink and drive. If she doesnt learn from this, what if next time she kills someone.

Will the Hilton family pay them off too?

I'm not happy Paris has to go to jail for 45 days. But she broke probation she needs to do her time for it.

Drunk driving kills people (mostly the innocent ones)

I have to admit that I was very selfishly upset that she's back in jail. If she were at home, the news would be less vocal about it. Now, for the next 45 days, we have to hear daily headlines about the dingbat. Quite frankly, I would much rather hear about the shuttle that just launched, the weather for the next day, the stock report, and even listen to grass grow than hear about this dingbat who is most famous for being famous.

I have mixed feelings about it.

Her home was obviously not a good substitue for a jail, as she lives in a home that many folks out there would pay good money to stay in and never have to leave for 45 days!!!

And obviously, she deserves no special treatment, is spoiled rotten, obnoxious, and everything else.

I *really* don't understand how someone like Paris ends up driving drunk, or driving without a licence at all. She has a private chaeffer. It's not like she's going to find herself in a situation where she can't afford a cab, or has no other way to get around. Because of that, I think her sentence, if anything, should be harsher than most people's for the same offense.

But... when I first read about Paris going to jail, the article said it would be for 23 days. Now it is for 45? If my information is right (big if), then something happened that really isn't right. She shouldn't be punished for taking an offer that she believed was legitimately extended to her. It's an offer anyone in their right mind would take!

I feel bad for her in an odd way... I think she obviously needs to pay society for breaking probation, but I think the judge is obviously trying to make a name for himself. The jail system is already overcrowded, and tax payers are actually paying for Paris to stay in jail (along with the increased supervision, etc.). The sad thing is that they will probably let many murderers and rapists out early for good behavior, when they could release those with minor violations. Obviously, a DUI is not minor, but perhaps there is a better way for someone to serve time (maybe community service helping victims and families of DUI accidents??)

"....I think the judge is obviously trying to make a name for himself..."

You could be right, but then it could also be that he is making an example of her. Maybe this will get the message across to the rest of her cronies that fame and money does not mean you are above and beyond the law. Wasn't Linsay Lohan caught with drugs in her car recently? And Nicole Richie also in trouble with for an alcolhol/drugs related incident? If Paris' sentence scares the sh*t out of them to grow up and behave responsibly then he would have done some good.

I also think that Judge Micheal T. Sauer felt his credibility was at stake when the sheriff acted without consulting him. He did state clearly that Paris could not serve her sentence at home. He was not consulted about he release and he did not consent. I would be peeved if a lowly (qualified) sheriff tries to upstage me. I think the judge acted very appropriately to assert his authority and that is as it should be.

Three cheers for Judge Michael T. Sauer. (I wish we have judges like him in our country.)

As for being let our on medical grounds. Quite frankly that was rather lame excuse. I rather hope she rots in jail for all eternity.

Someone please remind me again why she thinks that she's a celebrity??? It's not like she's pretty, or has real talent other than making a fool out of herself.....

I don't feel bad for her either. Rich or not. Beautiful or not. (and FWIW, yuck, she is sooo NOT beautiful IMO.) Celebrity or not...She has to the pay price for what she did and oh well if she doesn't like it!

I don't like Paris. I haven't from day 1. She's nothin' but a spoiled little rich girl. I don't even consider her a celebrity. She's a waste.

Wow, that was pretty mean, huh? LOL

My question is, was the offer ever really ligitimate or was there a big pay off involved? She needs to suck it up, do the time, learn and move on. She should be thankful she didn't kill someone while driving drunk. It could be so much worse than it is!
