Morning Ladies!:)

I am planning on doing 2 work outs today and 2 work outs tomorrow. I have to fit 2 cardios, PLB and 1 yoga session in before I head out for dinner tmrw night! I have 3 cardio choices in mind and only 2 slots to fill! HELP ME! LOL I am thinking spin, run and/or kickbox (live class or Cathe). DECISIONS DECISIONS!:p

BBL!:)

Good morning, ladies! :) Happy Friday!

Wendy :: since you are only slightly north of me, I imagine you're dealing with the same intense humidity, so I say bag the run and go w/ k'box and spin.

Angie :: yes, they warn you about possible depression and a link to suicide. If anything, I feel that the acne made me kinda down and the Accutane *improved* how I felt. I am not sure what my derm is doing. I heard that there is a cumulative dose that you are supposed to take based upon your weight, but I don't know if that has been his approach. Initially, he projected about 5-6 months. After I go off of it, with any luck, I will not have any outbreaks. Occasionally a pimple here or there, but not like what it was. Some people aren't that lucky, though, and they wind up going on a second cycle of Accutane. Enjoy your reading!

I did a B&G mishmosh (my own) of the Floor Work, Ankle Weights, Bonus Glute Squeezes, Lunge/Squat Combos and Firewalkers followed by a 40 min. run. It is BRUTAL out there.

I'm off to shower and then see the chiro for the first time. My back is feeling a lot better than it did last week, but I've kept the appointment, anyway.

Have a great day! TTYS!
Cathy :)

Morning Ladies ..

thought I would pop in first thing this morning .. as to how it is FRIDAY at the asylum .. always a busy day .. have one girl out and boss is in another office .. YUP gonna be busy!!

Well .. changed my workouts all up yesterday . . ended up doing heavy legs in the gym .. and then got to class and they were craving something w/more calorie burn .. so they got it!}( ... SIX STEP class .. which is sort of a bootcamp style class .. all over body workout! and thanks to my change up I have DOMS in my hams and booty!!

SIL has a horrible pinched nerve in her neck .. so she missed last nights workout and probably won't make today's either! she was a pitcher for a college softball team and think she has scar tissue built up in there!

Cathe - the wrinkle factor .. LOL ..I opted for just below the bikini line .. as I figured that would not see sun .. and be less inclined to wrinkle .. the other spot for my next one is going to be my lower LOWER back just below the bikini line above the buttocks .. center back .. don't think that will be seeing sun .. and will be less inclined on wrinkling! I would also think the ankle and shoulder blade area would not wrinkle that much .. but I work in the public and do not think it is appropriate for my career to have one "exposed" ...

Diana - getting the belly button peirced .. good for you .. I LOVE mine! although I have a very DEEP belly button and think the guy went a little too deep w/the peircing .. it did not hurt to have it done . but the after was very painful .. I could not even sit up straight or work abs for a while .. it took mine about a month to be completly pain free .. I also went w/a small loop and it was THICK (heavier gauge which made it hurt worse) .. actually it was an eyebrow peircing .. I ended up changing it out and going w/a bar bell and I LOVE IT .. I change mine out a good bit .. can't feel anything .. just like the ear to me!! oh and I looked up your tat you were thinking about .. LOVE IT .. it is almost like the one I drew for myself .. but picture rosebuds coming off the wisps w/some thorns thrown in for drama!

OH .. and Bruce Willis is SOOOOOOO HOT .. I can't wait to see that movie!! I watched the first Die Hard the other day (seen it a million times) .. and it was STILL good!!

Angie .. scuba gear .. we are going to the Keys in August ... can't wait .. we go lobstering and I take a zillion pics! We used to be hard core divers .. we spearfished and dove deep in the Gulf .. but DH made it more work than fun .. and the Keys SPOILED us completely as far as beauty and clarity .. I have had MANY encounters w/sharks and barracudas .. a couple that were IMO close calls ... so I am a very "aware" diver .. SAFETY FIRST ... the movie Open Water .. yikes .. that WAS scary .. and very possible especially on big dive boats .. we have our own boat and plot our own dive spots .. takes that danger out of the equasion!:)

Wendy .. sounds like your workout calendar is in high speed today and tomorrow .. again .. I bow in your presence!! LOL;)

Not sure what is on tap for today .. DH on long hours .. and want to get home early to see him b-4 he goes in to work .. and my schedule will be at the mercy of DH and WORK!!x(

But tomorrow .. going to make up for it .. probably a long run .. and BBC ...

Anyway .. I have rambled on long enough again .. have a great TGIF .. and ya'll workout for me in case I don't get to! :7

Mornin girls

The weather is nice here. Low humidity and 70's but will get into the 80's today and humidity will start rollin in tomorrow. DS is going with a friend to a local water park for the day.
I think I have a GS upper body to do today. My weight was up a little bit but I figured it would be. With all the CABS over the weekend and then the eating on the 4th...:9 I really need to get back on track with the eats!

Wendy - So when was the last time you did plyoX? Or how about an older Cathe like MSB or SW? I know you're not particularly fond of step w/o but it might be a nice change of pace, especially if you have AC at home.:)

Cathy - It sounds like you legs are gonna be yelling at you again. Have you had DOMS all week? Those poor legs.}(
Good luck at the chiro. I've never been to one either but DH has gone a couple of times when he wrenches his back or neck out. I guess I'm just too lazy to make the phone call when I do that and figure it will heal up in a few days. I really should give it a shot once and see how it goes.

I'll check back to see what Laura and Diana are up to. And I do believe Nancy went MIA again.:)

Wendy and I must've been posting at the same time.

Good Morning Ladies,

Well bootcamp was tough last night and I got my wish, we ran! We had to all out sprint 100 yards turn around and sprint back. Talk about being winded. Then we had to drop and do 25 squat thrusts and 25 sit ups. We did this 3 times, the 4th time we had to run backwards a 100 yards while our partner was running towards us. We also did shuffles and crossovers across the field with pushups and squats with a knee raise. We ended with step ups on a stair (run up and down) as fast as we could and tricep dips. Lets not forget the walking lunges uphill and pullups too.

I have shoulders and biceps on tap for lunch today.

Angie-I read your post-you'll be happy to hear I'll be cleaning right along with ya

Happy Friday,

Diana

Good Afternoon, Lovely Ladies!:)

Well, my work out got cut a bit short but I'm not worried. I did PLB but decided to forgo the floorwork today in order to leave a bit more time for cardio. I'm glad I did or I would have gotten NO CARDIO in at all! LOL My little guy has been uber cranky all day and woke up early from his nap crying which ofcourse, interrupted my cardio work out. I was doing Kenpo X which I haven't done in ages so the timing kinda stunk but I'll live, right? ;) I have been going heavier on my lower body weights. I just increased them again today for PLB. It felt good to lift heavy with the legs but I hope I don't regret it. The last time I allowed myself to lift heavier I started to bulk. I have thick legs already...bulk is not what I need!

So anyway....

Cathy: Don't you know me by now? I am primarily a TM runner unless I have company! I ran more outside in the beginning in order to get used to it but now that my body is okay with it I only really do it if I have company! LOL So after all of that, my point is that the humidity is of no consequence to me today!:p :7 I decided to forgo another run until next week anyway though.:)

Angie: Oh how fun for your son to go to a water park! I think they are a blast! I'm jealous! How old am I!?! :p :7 I like step but for the longest time prior to joining the gym and getting into running, etc., step was my primary cardio and I think I just got sick of it so I rarely do it these days. I'll get back into it though. I HAVE to! I mean I bought that brand new step a few months ago! :p I just need a good break is all. I haven't done Plyo X since finishing the X I don't think...or shortly thereafter. I ALMOST took your suggestion but decided on KenpoX instead.:)

Laura: With all of the classes you teach PLUS doing your own workouts I find it hard to believe that my work out schedule seems like alot to you! I think you are just being nice! Well, flattery will get you no where my friend!:p :7 ;) :) LOLOL I'm just teasin' ya! :D

Diana: YOWZAS! Bootcamp class sounds like kick-arse stuff! I LOVE IT! I'm jealous!}(

So tonight will be a quiet nite at home. We are going to Costco when DH gets home from work but after that, once DS is sleeping, we will hunker down and watch "Thank You for not Smoking". Anyone see this already? DH caught part of it on cable and really liked what he saw so he tivo'd it for us. I'm looking forward to it. We are both ex-smokers who continue to believe in certain smokers rights so it should be interesting.

Tomorrow I will have some time to myself. I am hitting the gym for a spin class early in the morning. DH and DS might join me at the gym but in the afternoon DH and DS are off to a party that I am not going to. I made dinner plans way before we got the party invite so I am hanging back to keep my plans. So anyway, I'll be home alone for a few hours in the afternoon and will be loving it! That's when I'll get my yoga in!:) Oh, and at some point tmrw I have to make the corrections to my PT exam essays and re-type them in proper format so that I can mail the exam off on monday!!!!! FINALLY!!!!:7

Alright, I've yammered on enough for now!LOL

BBL!

Laura :: OK, that’s where I had it in mind to get mine – just below the bikini line. I know a few teachers with exposed tattoos, but I would prefer to have mine private, too. That way if I *do* wind up regretting it, it’s not going to be something I’m embarrassed about – it’ll be covered up, anyway...Hope the asylum's been good to you today. :D

Angie :: my calorie counts have been a bit high the past few days, too…I think I can blame it partially on PMS…I actually haven’t had my period in a few months thanks to the BC, but I still seem to get the symptoms, and for me, my already-wild appetite usually skyrockets even more!…I saw Open Water – scary as hell! Have never scuba’d, but I think I’d try it as long as I were someplace tropical…no more DOMS in the legs…as of now.

Diana :: sounds like a helluva a bootcamp class last night! You are definitely getting your money’s worth there…happy cleaning today! ;)

The chiro appointment was very interesting and a little scary. I do have a vertebra in my low back that is kinked and whiplash in my neck from the fender bender I had a few Sundays ago. The doc made adjustments that were sometimes a bit uncomfortable – with the creaks and the cracks, I thought she was about to snap my neck! *lol* But I must say, I feel better somehow afterward – it’s hard to describe. She’s sending me for X-rays and I have to go in 3x next week. I was really impressed with how super-friendly everyone in the office is – they even had coffee and Philly soft pretzels spread out for the patients. You never see that in doctor’s offices! At least not around here. Nice touch, though. Later, I took a solid hour-and-a-half nap and have basically wasted the day away. Speaking of wasting away, I am debating on whether or not to indulge in a CAB or two w/ dinner tonight. }(

Have a great night!
Cathy :)

Hi girls

I haven't moved much from the computer. I'm catchin up on all my email stuff that I have neglected this past week. My poor housework is NOT getting done though.:( I haven't even got my w/o done yet and it's almost 6:00. I have totally wasted this day away.:-( I did however get my picturetrail account set up and pictures entered in. I haven't figured out how to get it on this forum yet....maybe after my w/o I'll look into it some more.

Wendy - I just love those nights and days with an easy going plan or no plan at all. That is truly relaxing to me. Hope you like your movie. I don't watch many movies. The last rental I saw was Million Dollar Baby and I had to go see Spiderman 3 at the theatre. Oh, and I watched Supersize me on CNBC on night awhile back - interesting stuff.

Laura - So was you day as bad as you expected it to be? At least it's Friday! :) Hope you have a great weekend and hope you have time for your w/o.

Diana - You mustv'e been cleaning without me as I haven't got much done yet.:-( Hope you get the weekend off and have a little fun.

Cathy - Someone told me once to beware of a chiro who makes you come back several times. DH goes to one when he feels like he needs to and the chiro never schedules him with a follow up appt. - says to just come back if you feel like you need it. We were very surprised at this and have been very satisfied with his services. We were both a bit sceptical of chiro's too, but I definitely like his approach. However, if it works for you then go for it. Glad you are feelin some relief!
I'd love to go scuba diving in a tropical place too!:) I have a friend who is in the keys right now and she loves to snorkel. She doesn't want to get scuba certified right now and says that snorkeling is really cool and you can really see a lot of detail. I'd sure like to try it.
Cheers!

Gotta go w/o! BBL

Angie

Oh, oops, Wendy, I didn't see your post wedged in there earlier...yeah, you're right! My bad ~ I forgot about your preference for the TM!!...I haven't seen that movie but wanted to - heard it is good...So, you are getting close to being all done with the PT cert! Exciting!!...Some me-time will be nice for you tomorrow ~ I'm sure that is a rare & well-deserved opportunity for a SAHM of a toddler!...Oh and BTW, you do NOT have thick legs! Stop it! :)

Angie :: you're not alone ~ I accomplished zero today. But then again, I didn't have ambitions for very much. *lol*...Really, that is interesting advice about the chiro, and it sounds sensible. I am going to give this woman benefit of the doubt for now. She said the initial visits would be frequent but would taper off as we "re-train" the spine to stay in proper alignment. If I feel it's not working or it is some kind of racket, I will stop.

OK, this computer is annoying me...I've noticed lately when I am in Word, or in this case, in the body of a forum message, my cursor keeps jumping - on its own - to a previous line and getting me all jumbled up. Does anyone else's computer do this?

Have a great night!
Cathy :)
