CLASSIC/PHASE 3/WEEK 10/DAY 4

Good Morning X'ers!:)

My legs are feeling it from BBC y'day! It's not bad yet but there is still time! LOL

Today is CST/ARX and then yoga in the evening. Full schedule...YIKES! I thought about doing yoga last night instead but it just never happened. Oh well...Tonight is as good of a night as any, right? }(

Hope everyone has a great day. I'll be back later!:)

Good morning Wendy and all who follow!

It's still a beautiful day here in NYC but the forecast is for a Nor'easter for the weekend. Ughhh!!! I love Spring.

My legs are still killing me from GS Legs on Tuesday night. Yesterday was stretch and my DD and I took a nice walk in a local park overlooking the water - and it was gorgeous out.

Angie - Yes, I'm a school nurse. I couldn't stand working in a hospital anymore and I've been doing this now for 11 years. It worked well raising my girls with no work during summers/holidays/winter breaks.:) There's a terrible stomach virus/fever going around now - always happens with changes in weather.

Today I have GS BSB. Okay, have a good day.:)

Good morning ladies!!
{phase3 - week 11 - day 4 - my version classic)

Had a beautiful run yesterday ... it was so nice .. and I was surprised .. that was my first run outside and I figured it was really going to be hard .. but it wasn't .. felt good .. felt strong .. and fast ... could have been b/c it was cool .. a small thundercloud came up and looked like it was raining north of where I was .. so just a wonderful short run!!

Thought I would be sore from leg work .. so far so good!

Today it is shoulder and arms .. I do like this workout. SIL is going to be joining me again today .. she is loving the X .. although she is doing a workout here and there when she can .. LOL! We may go for another run this afternoon .. IF the weather cooperates .. looks like it is going to be storming! :(

Yes our weather has been gorgeous this week .. everything is blooming .. but with that comes my allergies ... x( x( x( .. my ears are ringing and having random sneezing attacks (good ab workout w/the sneezing though .. LOL)

Diana .. IA w/Wendy .. don't skip the p90x weights .. if I miss all the others I make sure I do the weight work ... and sub the others ..

Nancy .. looks like you are in for some more cold .. bless your heart .. it will be cooler here too . . but only in the 60's!! nothing like you other ladies .. bbbrrrrr

Wendy .. looks like you really have a full schedule today .. how do you do it???

To all that follow .. hope today finds you with wonderful DOMS and great workouts!}(

have a great one!:7

Hey all - I'm back and in full swing!!! :7

I got up at 4:45am this morning and did Shoulders and Arms X, LOVE IT!!! }( I will crank out ARX after work and then off to teach step class. FULL routine today, whew......

I have combined the Doubles rotation and a running schedule for a half marathon - *wish me luck* :+

Take care, Marcia.

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for the support everyone, I really needed it. I did Shoulders & Arms this morning and will do pushup/pullup torture at the gym today. Tomorrow I will do cardio (plyo x or imax 3) and Sat will be legs & back. That should get me back on track. This is week 11, only a couple more weeks to go:)

Wendy-thanks for the recommendation. I agree that I should not miss any of the X weight work.

Nancy-I had no idea you were a school nurse. What a rewarding job you have.

Poochy-I love shoulders and arms too. I just hate pushups}(

Marcia-you sound really ambitous. Are you doing the running instead of P90X cardio? That should work out ok. By the way, the half marathon is my favorite distance. I love them. Good Luck What 1/2 are training for?

Thanks Again for all the support ladies,

Diana

Diana - Actually - I am going to try and fit in the X cardio, too, because I like those workouts, too, especially KenpoX - LOVE IT! We'll see how things go. *fingers crossed*

Marcia.

>>>Wendy .. looks like you really have a full schedule today ..
how do you do it???<<<

LOL Laura...Well, I am a SAHM with a VERY part time job and a VERY small house to clean (frees up lots of time). I have a son who likes LONG naps (frees up even MORE time). I have a gym membership which allows for more flexibility in my cardio work out schedule because of the daycare offered. And last but not least, I have a husband who is very understanding and will watch my son on those occasions when I just couldn't get it done at another time. DH also bowls on Thursday nights so once DS goes to bed at 7pm the evening is mine...that's when I normally do my yoga. Does that answer your question?...Oh and finally....I have no life!

LOL :)

Does that answer your question? :7

Wendy .. You crack me up!!

First of all .. I am jealous!:D

Second .. sounds like you have a very FULL life!!

I work a regular 8 - 5 job .. then teach a fitness class after work four days a week ..I live about 32 miles from town .. sooooo ...I am gone from 7:15 in the morning until 7:15 at night ...

no kids .. but 2 huge babies (house dogs) that are probably worse than having kids in the house (they have more toys and luxery items than most kids) .. AND a DH that works shift work (revolving shift) .. so my household is wild   .. forget getting anything done when I get home .. I am lucky b/c DH does cook (bless his heart he knows he has to .. b/c if he waits on me it will be a can of tuna and some crackers..LOL)

Anyway .. I managed to get shoulders and arms done .. once again forgot how hard it was .. did manage to up the reps and weight on some movements . . and managed to get the bonus round in and did 12 of the tricep pushups w/straight arms .. (a feat for me)

My arms were shaking so bad I could barely put the car in drive .. LOL .. gotta love it!! .. no class tonight .. and the weather is horrible .. so I am taking advantage and going home after work and get some much neeeded house work done!!

Hi ladies

Well, it was exercisers choice today and so I thought I'd do one that I haven't done in years. I did the P90 cardio 3/4 with ab ripper 200. P90X is sooooooo much better! There were some challenging parts P90, but it is so repetitive and there's no music. It would be hard to just do this workout day in and day out. It was a calf burner though! And, I was surprised at how challenging the AR200 was. It is only 5-6 minutes but it does the trick. I will be using AR200 interchangably with ARX ab routine.

Laura - So is SIL seeing results with the X? It sure does look like you have a crazy schedule!! Yikes! }( Aren't the upper body workouts da bomb? I love DOMS in the upper body. My lat DOMS are finally gone a full 3 days after C&B!

Nancy - I hear you about working in the hospital. I loved the patient care aspect of it, but the hospital environment is just too darn stressful. I was such a b*t*h when I was working there because I was just so stressed out all of the time. A school schedule would be soooo nice! It seems like that would be a great job. Not many school districts around here have nurses - no funding for them.

Marcia - Sounds like you have your hands full with all your exercise. Good luck with your training, I'm sure it will be incredibly rewarding.

Diana - I hate push ups too! I am now doing them on my feet instead of my knees now, thanks to the X. But, I still don't like them.}(

Wendy - is your part time job at the gym? I thought you worked there - or maybe you should?:7 LOL! What other workouts do you like besides Cathe? Any of them that you do all the time? Are you looking forward to being done with the X?

I'm off.......until tomorrow;-)

Angie

Hey Ang!

Yes, I work p/t in the daycare at my gym. Not exactly my dream position but it works for now!:7

I do Jari Love. She has great endurance work outs and one circuit work out which I really enjoy. I have the Slim Series which many people rave about but I can't get into. :-( I used to be a Firm Junkie but I gave them up once I got into Cathe full tilt. I sold them all on Ebay. I have a Rebounder and several of those work outs but they just don't do it for me. I like it cause it's fun but that is not enough of a draw lately so it's currently collecting dust. I am hoping to be able to sell that on a friend who wants to begin an exercise program. That's about it for me besides my new BBC acquisition!

Ending the X rotation will be bitter sweet for me. I admit that I need a change. Who wouldn't after following the same rotation for 3 solid months, right? LOL I WILL miss it though. The work outs are AWESOME...this program has changed my body in ways that nothing else has! I love Cathe's stuff dearly but the X is simply in a league of it's own. It's not something I could do day in and day out like Cathe though. They are like apples and oranges I suppose. Anywho...I will be both happy and sad to finish the X. I am excited to move onto a BBC rotation though. I have decided that I will alternate between BBC, Cathe, Jari, some kind of weight lifting rotation using the machines at the gym, and the X every month or so. I may even TRY the Slim Series again. I figure that will give me great variety and I can shock my body 4-8 every weeks with a different instructor/style/work outs.

Okay...now that I've written a book I truly hope you come back here tmrw to check for my answer!:p

Good night!:7

Laura,

Talk about a full life! Holy Cow! With your teaching classes several nights a week you should NEVER feel bad if you miss a work out at home! Jeesh!

Don't ya just love that "useless" feeling you get in well worked extremities when a tough work out is done!? :7 I love it when I can hardly type or write or hold my coffee cup...walk, climb stairs or sit on the toilet!:7 }( :7 It's proof of your hard work!}(

Speaking of a tough work out...my legs are talking to me today like CRAZY! I am skipping yoga tonight...no way these legs could handle those poses...OUCHEEES!

Have a great night!
