CLASSIC/PHASE 2/WEEK 5/DAY 5

Okay, so I'm behind on my rotation now by a couple of days and have to play catch up so I have Back and Biceps, ARX and yoga all on tap for today!:eek: I can dispense with yoga if need be and stick it in anywhere this week including on Sunday if I have to so it shouldn't be TOO bad...

Angie, I'm not really crazy just SUPER STUBBORN about getting my work outs done!}( I don't know if it's good or bad but it's me! LOL
So do you have any idea what kind of roation you will be doing once you complete the X?

Good morning Wendy and all who follow -

I did Chest, shoulders and triceps last night. I like the workouts that don't repeat themselves. I can't believe the number of different ways he works out the same muscle groups. Still can't do most of those crazy-type pushups but I keep trying. I always just drop to my knees and do regular ones when this old body gives out.

Wendy, I'm going to to Fitness Freak's January rotation after the X. I'm actually looking forward to it, I think (lol)

Tonight is Plyo but they're giving a baby shower tonight after work for a fellow employee and I don't have a clue what time I'll arrive home....so, we'll see.

Good morning ladies -
(phase 2 - week 6 - day 5 - my version classic)

Wendy .. I am like you .. I have mixed this weeks rotation all up .. but will manage to fit it all in I hope!!

Nancy .. IA .. how did he come up w/so many different ways to work the triceps .. and the push ups .. I don't ever see me doing a one arm push up . . or the plyo push ups .. I mean to me the plyo .. what is the point .. seems it would put entirely too much stress on the wrist .. so I skip those too ..

yesterday got my hair cut .. new stylist and I like it .. a medium shag haircut .. lots of movement .. she cut a lot more than I thought in the back .. but it was nice this morning to throw in the mousse and smoother and blow dry - shake - and spray and WALLA .. I was done!! yup that's the kinda hair cut I like!

Last night's class was a bootcamp .. a big mix of a lot of stuff - high step - plyo - leg work and band work .. everyone seemed to like it and I am a bit sore into my legs a bit!

Today is bicep and back .. :7 .. I LOVE THIS WORKOUT . have I said that b-4?? LOL .. SIL is still hanging in . . she is going to meet me and we will do this at lunch .. tonights class is 1/2 cardio - 1/2 yoga ...

have yet another weekend I am sure to blow the diet - we are going to the beach .. they are having a mardi gras celebration .. super fun .. parades - live bands - arts and crafts .. and of course adult beverages and BEADS!! }( .. should be fun .. we are going over on the boat and parking at a friends dock .. should be a blast!!

Poochy- I'm snooping again! FYI on wrists & Plyo Push Ups... I felt the same way!
Use a step with 1-4 Risers (plus your yoga mat if desired) This takes out the wrist challenge. Plyo Push Ups are really an awesome way to get the chest burning (plus some tricep action too!) Post X this week I did Amy Bento All Pump and her chest work includes the Plyo Pushups exactly as I had modified w/ Tony! She does a round on 4 riser, a round with 3 and a round with 1... YOWZA WOWZA on the pecs!!!

good morning!

today was legs and back.... nothing out of the norm.... used weights and hope that i don't get last week's doms since i have a bike ride on saturday!

i was tortured by evil coach troy last night.... spinervals.... ick! lol! hubby got mad cuz i kept cussing at him (he told me i talked too much during the workout! *gasp*)

i'm stubborn about my workouts too... but i also know i'm not an evening workouter.... (i almost didn't do spinervals cuz i HATE working out after work!) that's why i get up at 4:00 a.m.... get it done early before anything else!!!!

i have jury duty today... yuck yuck yuck! i wouldn't mind if they were READY for you when you got there... but noooooooooooooo... you go..... you sit... they tell you take a break..... you come back and sit.... they tell you to take a break.... usually after about 2 or 3 hours they send you home..... why not just have us come when they need us rather than wasting our time sitting around? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr ok.... off my soap box! lol!

Thanks Traci .. I will try the riser ..that makes sense .. it should make it easier (less fight against gravity)

.. I had wrist surgery on my right hand .. so I am super protective of it .. LOL .. but I will try that .. NOT that I need to make push up any hard for me .. LOL .. I think they are plenty hard enough .. LOL. I never thought I would be doing push ups like this .. EVER .. amazing that P90X actually has me WANTING to try to do them!!:D
 
Oh be careful if you have a wrist issue!! I forgot to say that I also was doing a self made circuity thing and had my Kickbox gloves on (sand on palms type) and that made ZERO impact on those Plyos... Gotta remind myself to do that too! (The gloves also make Cathes Terminators in bootcamp do-able for me because thats another wrist ouchie!

Hi Everyone,

I was so busy at work yesterday I did get to check in. I did plyo X yesterday and really felt it in my legs. I'm sure that's due to MIS the day before. This morning I did Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. It sounds like we all substitute on those plyo pushups:) I do chest flyes with 15-20lbs. I also did coremax 3 instead of arx. I will get some cardio in later today at the rec center.

didn't get a chance to post or workout yesterday:( . i will just take yesterday as my rest day (so no yoga for me this week) and do L & B plus ARX today! just waiting for my baby boy to take his nap or else he will be working out with me today:p .

sounds like everyone is doing great!
 
Good Workouts again :)

Last night was Legs and Back - - I really pushed my weights up and really got into the legs, so my legs were shaking by the time I was done. really had to focus to get them to burn like they do when I use cathe's leg workouts.....

So tonight is Kenpo X - hmmmmmmmm that one just really is boring for me. My heartrate doesn't get ups at all!!! I might sub out and do Core Synergistics and CTX Kickbox or Kick Max - - one of them, Kenpo just doesn't excited me :(

After this rotation, I am going to do a rotation using P90X guidebook, but subbing for GymStyles and running outdoors on my cardio days. . . . should be fun :) I may use the Gym Styles the first phase, and then use Slow and Heavy second phase and then back to GymStyles = something like that sounds fun for me :)
 
YEAY, my little guy's napping habits are back to normal today...FINALLY! I got Back&Biceps/ARX done w/o any problems and he's still quiet up there! WOOH!:+

My plan is to also do Baron Baptiste's Long & Lean yoga but not until later once DS is down for the night.

legs and back done! no ARX-ran out of time. however i am subbing kenpo tomorrow for KPC (kenpo- too boring to me) so i will get my abs in.

reba- i am with you re: kenpo! i don't see the harm in subbing for something you would enjoy.

wendy- yea!! little joey is sleeping/feeling better and mommy is ready to rock and roll.

well ds didn't fall asleep when i needed to workout so out of desperation i did my workout with him in the room with me. it worked out fine except when i was doing the sneaky lunges and he was trying to lay on my back leg..lol:D

I think I am going to save the yoga for tomorrow. I'm just not in the mood for it right now....

I guess I am one of the minority in this group as I like Kenpo!:) Ofcourse, I am not doing it every week so that may have something to do with it! LOL But seriously, I think it's a great work out in it's own right.

Sunny, I can just picture your little one on your leg during legs and back! :7 WTG for getting it done anyway!;)

Nancy, So were you able to squeeze plyo in? CS&T is a great work...how'd ya like those one armed push ups!!?? :eek: :eek: :eek: The plyo/clap push ups were actually cool. I did them on my knees. I was actually capable. I am going to try it on my toes next times. I clapped btw. I'm not as crazy as Tony...he looked like a bug! It was rather funny to watch!:p

Laura, Glad you like your new hair cut. It's always nerve wracking when you are going to someone new for the first time.

DB, Jury duty? ACK! LOL I have thought about getting up really early to do my work outs at times but I always seem to find ways around that!:p

Diana, I guess I'm the odd man out. I did the plyo/clap push ups and I clapped. It wasn't bad. I had fun actually!}(

Reba, Sounds like a good plan for post X. Glad you got a good burn with L&B today.:)

So tomorrow is an 8:30am step class at the gym and then yoga in the afternoon/evening...

Hey gals...I have a quick question for everyone...

When I was doing Back and Biceps today I was finding MOST of the burn to be in my forearms! When Tony said that we were going to concentrate on forearms by doing hammer curls for a while I wanted to cry! LOL Anyone else find this work out hard on the forearms? Am I doing something wrong??? :(

Hey all -

Yoga done!..and that's all I have to say about that!

Ya - I feel it in the forearms. I can really notice the definition in my arms, especially the forearms since that is the only place on my body that I don't store fat.:)

I am so glad this busy week is finally coming to an end!! I am so glad nascar racing is back on this weekend. I can't wait for the bud shootout on Saturday night with my DJ in the front:) Makes me happy.

Is anyone else talking Tony??:p

I got shot....in the buttocks.....they say it's a million dollar wound but I haven't seen a dime of it.

Sorry all, I'm slap happy - been a long week with very little sleep.
