CLASSIC/PHASE 1/WEEK 4/DAY 5 (Recovery)

Well, I am expecting 2 new-comers to the group soon! 2 of the gals I post with in the Cheetah forum plan to start the X soon so I invited them over here with us! I'm sure you all don't mind, do you? :)

Well yoga got done late last night but I did it! It's core syn today. OY! :eek: LOL

I am sooo excited to take pics and measure this weekend! I just hope the pics and the #'s back up what I see in the mirror! I'm more afraid of the pics being bad then the #'s.

I got on the scale this morning and am suddenly down 3 pounds from my start weight. I lost a pound during the weight training portion but the other 2 pounds have dropped off since doing the recovery. I'm happy but waiting for it to rise again over the next week or 2! LOL I know, I know...the scale is only a VERY small part of it. :)

We were supposed to get some nasty icey-sleety stuff by me over night but got nothing. I'm happy! :)

No snow here either, Wendy!!!

I feel that my body looks different too! However, I put on a pair of pants to come to work with and......snug. They were snug before but....they're still tight!!! Measurements for me tomorrow.

I'm glad about the newcomers. We need more people in this check-in. The more posters, the more energy.

Okay, did Plyometrics with very little jumping last night. My shoulders, triceps, chest, and lats are still killing me from the night before and now my whole body hurts. This evening is Back and Biceps and I wonder how my lats are going to handle that one!

Hey Guys... Just sneaking over from X'ers to let you know my FINAL STATS are posted on todays board if you're interested. I sure would have been excited if I had seen others results as I got really bored in final phase. You guys seem to be doing AWESOME!!! I commend you for sticking with it as it isnt easy! As hard as it was to be doing X thru Thanksgiving & Christmas I sure am happy its done! I'll do another round in 4-6 months. I think 2 a year is perfect... PLUS I sure hope Tony creates an XX project! I just LOVE him and all the workouts... Except Yoga- I do my Bryan Kest & Ellen Barretts! lol
Hang in there guys and just keep looking at it as 1 phase at a time rather than the whole enchilada... oops - didnt mean to start a mexican food binge!:7

I was wondering what body fat caliper everyone is using? There's so many options on Amazon that I don't know which one to get. They range from $12.95 and up. Any ideas? I know that this has been discussed ad nauseum......

Thanks for popping in @ X'ers! I think you can go with any of them (I use a claiper-non digital). The biggest thing is keepin in mind that none are 100% accurate so its just a matter of getting a baseline and monitoring progress. Frustration sets in for alot of people if they go back & forth from scales to calipers to digitals. Just select one and stick with it. (I went cheap & cheerful).

i have one word for today: BOOTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yesterday's legs took it's toll on my booty for some reason! i mean.... i know it's been 2 weeks since a "real" leg workout... but i've been riding and doing spinervals.... so i was really surprised when last night before bed then this morning.... BOOTY! OUCH! lol!

this morning was kenpoX.... i felt the knee kicks.... in my booty!!!!!!!!! (i like saying that! BOOTY!!!!!)

glad you didn't get your ice storm! phew! we're supposed to be near or at 70 today!!! warmer tomorrow and warmer still sunday! FINALLY! it's about time we got some real socal weather! were heading to laguna niguel tomorrow to got mountain bike riding... I CAN'T WAIT! i already picked out my outfit today!

Good Morning Ladies,

I know it's yoga day but I'm definitely doing a cardio workout today. Probably one of the premixes from cardio fusion or BM2.

Well I'm in Denver and it -16 degrees last night.BBRRRRR We did get 3 to 5 inches of snow also. I am so sick of the lingering snow. We've had snow on the ground since December 21st.

Wow Traci, what wonderful results you had with the X. Thanks for sharing and giving us all motivation to keep on bringin' it!

I did Back and Biceps last night and I really liked this workout, yep-even those corncob pullups!!!

Hey ladies ..

sorry it is crazy here at work .. just a real quick check in ..

{{{ deep breath }}} .. OUCH .. my FREAKING BICEPS HURT!! I can barely straighten my arms out .. (told ya'll I was gonna complian) .. OMG .. I feel lucky my lats and back are not hurting .. but the biceps make up for it .. OUCH .. I will still be hurting tomorrow!

.. today is a forced rest day .. work is crazy .. and tonight is DATE NIGHT .. so will be burning calories the good old fashioned FUN way .. }( }(

tomorrow is YOGA X .. my favorite!! .. then shopping then another milestone b-day party .. this time teh brother of my best friend .. turning 50!!! soooo more adult beverages and food .. the diet will officially be blown to #### and back!!

There was some horrible weather here .. Florida has some deadly tornadoes . one of my friends lives in DeLand, FL .. and she said the death toll was at 14 and rising .. wiped out a lot of homes and trailer parks .. so sad!!

OK .. gotta run .. it is wild in here .. have a great weekend .. stay warm girls above me!!:7
 
OH!!! i don't use calipers.... we have a tanita scale.... which of course... is just used as a guideline.... since i weigh myself in the morning... i use that BF number also.... even though it's not the best time to get it since i'm dehydrated... sometimes for "giggles" i weigh myself in the afternoon when i'm more hydrated to see the difference in BF%.... (usually around 5% lower in the afternoon)... but record the a.m. one.... i assume i'm somewhere between the two....

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Sorry, no time for personals. I have to jump in the shower very soon. I just came back to say that Core Syn is DONE! It was still TOUGH but went much smoother this time b/c I now know how to do the exercises. When I did it the other day I spent alot of time watching first and it lengthened the work out.

I finally got the yoga dvd I ordered-Baron Baptiste's Long and Lean Yoga. It's part of the Trainer's Edge series. It's about 50 mins long and it seems perfect for me from what I have previewed so far! I can't wait to try it! I will use it in lieu of Yoga X next time!:)

Hey ladies...I went down for the count this week. No workouts past four days - I had a horrible head cold and couldn't breath well at all yesterday, so I have been sleeping and taking tylenol cold pm and lots of vitamins.....I am feeling much better today, so tonight I may do a light light yoga and then not sure what I should do from here on out???

This was my recovery week, and instead I was sick! Should I just do three workouts the next few days and start with Phase two on Monday??
 
Hi ladies

Reba that sounds like it would work OK, but you might want to consider doing the recovery week this week and let your body get back into the swing of things before Bringing It again with the strength training. Hope you get feeling better......

Laura - Isn't the bicep workout lovely? I love it!!

Wendy - the more the merrier! By the way, I have absolutely no intention of posting pics!! I would be way too embarrassed of the before pics to do that. I have lost some junk in my trunk and my clothes definitely feel loose. I lost another 1.5 pounds last week so that makes 9.5 pounds since starting the program.:) My core is definitely looking more lean and so are my hips and thighs. I will do measurements and pics this weekend and am anxious to know the results. So glad tomorrow is stretchX and then Phase 3 here I come.

I'm so happy with my results that I'm having 2 bud lights! It worked last week!
