P90X January starters - Saturday

Good morning all

Wendy - where are you?? I can't believe I got to the boards before you did. Maybe you got hit by the storm and lost power. We got well over a foot of snow last night (and it's still snowing) and our power flicked off for just a minute this morning. Hope all is well. I must admit, you've got me a little worried.:(

Yesterday was Core Syn - and my arms and shoulders are sore. My lower back is a bit sore too, but not my abs - isn't it ironic? Actually, I think ARX has made my core pretty resistent to DOMS. I really brought it and I think the push ups left the DOMS in my arms and shoulders. I'm doing mostly straight leg now but not going quite as deep. Now I just have to work on getting closer to the floor. Still, I'm happy about the progression.:)

I'm still on my high about losing almost 10 pounds since the start of this thing!!:) I need to measure and do pics this weekend. Today is stretchX and then Monday starts phase 3. I'm sooooo stoked!

Hope you all have a great weekend! I'll be getting some extra strength and cardio just by digging out. Oy!

Hey Angie and all Xers who follow!:)

Angie: I'm here, I'm here! LOL Thanks for worrying but I'm fine. No storm. I was just running tight on time this morning. I had to rush to get to my step class! I had a bad night's sleep last night so I slept later then I should have this morning. ACK! x( What state are you in that you got a foot of snow girl!?! I am measuring and doing pics this weekend too-I wanted to do them this morning but NO TIME. I'll do them tmrw morning I guess...I'm nervous. LOL

Well, I just finished eating my cereal and now I need to get in the shower. My mom ended up keeping DS for an overnight last night so I have to go pick him up soon.

Wow, Angie! 10 lbs. since the start of this thing!!! That's so impressive. If I lost a lb. or 2 it's a lot. I just started Phase 2 but I'm being PRETTY clean on the diet.

I am taking measurements today when I get up enough guts. I did Back and Biceps last night for the first time and I loved this workout too. Today I think is Yoga X and I hate that one. Let's see how much I can do of it. I'm going out today to do some errands so I'll probably do that one this evening which I find is my best time of day to workout.

Hello ladies,

I know this is for jan. starters but i figured i would come post over here with you ladies (as per recommendation by wendy).

I am just starting the P90x program today. I've done several of the workouts but have yet to commit to the entire program. I can't wait to start! I am one of the weird ones who loves tony and his crazy antics:7

I am doing the classic rotation, so today's workout is chest and back. I am hoping to become a yoga convert as i find it to be quite boring:( however i know it has many benefits.

well i look forward to getting to know you ladies! it's now time to "bring it" lol.

I'm with you on two counts....I love Tony's antics AND I hate Yoga. I am learning to like down dog though, lol. I have Yoga X on tap for today and I'll put it off, and off, and off........ I know it has many benefits too, but................

I just finished taking measurements, and here they are....

My waist is huge, right? I've been reading others measurements and realize my waist is huge!!!! I measure over my belly button which seems to be my smallest area. I'm only 5' and weigh 119 lbs. and my waist is 31.5? Wow!!!! Whatever....I did go down in just about everything but calves. I didn't follow the diet but I did eat pretty cleanly. My only other concern is that I'm measuring in the exact same spot as last time. I go for the biggest area.....unless it's my waist, then I go for the smallest. Of course, my bust went down, lol and my biceps didn't go up which would have been nice.

Okay, going to weight watchers for my monthly weigh-in (lifemember, here) and doing a ton of other errands. THEN, Yoga......oh, kill me now.

I didn't take pictures yet. I don't know if I will until the end. I'm a little embarrassed asking my family to take my pics while I stand there posing. I guess I need more confidence, huh???
 
Nancy~~~ AWESOME RESULTS!!!! I cant believe how incredible & its just your first 30 days!!! You are doing so terrific! Imagine if we were all eat clean freaks! LOL.... Ya gotta love this program! I am so excited for you.... Your waist BTW is not huge! You are a normal woman who is looking to slenderize a bit.... :+ I remember YEARS ago that Lionel Ritchie song Brick House? 36-24-36.. Well I use to sing it customized for me... 26-34-38 what a winning hand! ha
FYI: I really needed your excitement this afternoon... I just did my first post P90X strength workout and I gotta tell ya I am in mourning missing Tony. That man could somehow motivate me to lift heavier and push myself beyond all mental barriers... this is going to be a very difficult transition back to Cathe/Amy Bento land for lifting. I really am totally bummed out even tho I somehow created a mish mosh for chest & shoulders that has me feeling a nice burn. I WANT MY TONY!!!!!!

Okay, it's official. I'm 119 at weight watchers too. Okay, off to do the dreaded yoga.

Nancy ^^^^^5!!! So funny how we cant get too excited until the dreaded official WI! LOL Way to go.... Hope you are celebrating by shopping (not eating!) this weekend!
