Hey X'ers!

I have Chest and Back/ARX on tap for today. I have to admit that I LOVE C&B!!! It's TOUGH but it's probably my favorite!}(

Diana, I am excited to finish this rotation. I love it but 3 months ia long time to do the same thing. Plus the fact that 3 months of heavy weight training is taking it's toll on me. I'm exhausted and need a break, ya know? It's an awesome program though and will definately do it again in the future!!!!:)

Angie, Yes, I have seen definate changes in my body with the X. If I hadn't I would have quit already! LOL The camera only tells a small portion of the story which is kind of depressing but I won't get into complaining about that yet AGAIN! lol :p

Nancy, How are you feeling today girl? Better I hope!

I wanted to add in cardio this evening at the gym but I forgot that we have our appointment to get our taxes done so I won't have time. :-( My eating was atrocious this weekend so I think I will add in an extra cardio session this week if I can!

Well, gotta go get ready for work now. I woke up late and left myself a lot less play time then I wanted to. BUMMER!

Morning Ladies ..
{Phase 3 - week 12 - day 1 - my version classic}

Sounds like all of you had a productive weekend ..

... My plans to exercise got blown up this weekend ... seems time just got away from me . . DH on midnights and it is so hard to do anything when he is trying to sleep .. but I did manage to get the house clean and the TON of laundry done!! I did manage to eat decently .. not too bad!!

Today is tricep and shoulder!:eek: have a feeling will be having some doms tomorrow. Tonight is cardo/lower body circuit!

Angie .. think it was you that asked about if I was "buff" before the x .. LOL .. well .. buff is pushing it .. LOL .. but yeah .. I have taught fitness and worked weights in the gym for some 20 years now .. but the X has changed my body in ways nothing else has. As I get older it is harder to mold my body .. and maintain what I am comfortable with. My legs have always been defined and muscular .. but my upper body has always been lacking!! the women in my family all have big arms .. so I have never worked my arms that hard .. scared of making them even bigger .. but the X has made them muscular .. and actually expecting my measurements to increase when I do them .. My legs and hips shrunk w/the X .. so I had to add in some weighted leg work and now they are where they should be (I have very small hips and very long legs ..they are not porportionate to my upper body .. LOL.. I have a very short torso and that is where I carry most of my weight when I do gain weight ...LOL) .. I have been MORE than pleased w/the results .. although my eating is HORRIBLE .. I eat too much junk .. and drink way too much coors lights .. so if I had of done the clean eating I can only imagine the results I would have had!

Nancy... sorry you got sick .. and glad you are feeling better (I hate a cold) .. but no wonder w/your weather hot one day .. snow the next ..

Wendy .. bottle your energy and ship some down here please!! Man you blow me away!

Diana .. can't beleive I am on week 12!!! you too right?? OK .. we have got to keep meeting .. I look forward to hearing all of your workout stories!! Feel like I know you girls .. so we will have to keep our check in even after the X .. PLEASE!! LOL

Ok .. I have rambled too much for a Monday morning .. better get to work now! Will check in later w/everyone!

I guess I'm feeling better. I hate colds too!!! I wish this weather would break already!

I blew off working out all weekend too, Laura. I have B&G on tap for today and hopefully I'm up for it. Wendy, while you're shipping some energy to Laura send some my way too.;-)

Diana - here's wishing you luck with your computer woes. It's amazing how I can't function without my computer anymore. I remember, too, when my husband bought me my first cellphone for a Christmas gift one year. I didn't even take it with me for the first year because I didn't think I needed it. Now........I turn around and go back for it if I leave the house without it. Times sure do change, huh?

Okay, phone ringing, kids in medical room. I'll be back later.

Good Morning Ladies,

This morning I did Chest, Shoulders & Triceps and LIC abs. It is supposed to be in the low 60's again today so I'll probably run at lunch.
My son is dropping of my computer at the shop, hope it's not too much to get fixed.

Wendy-You crack me up. I hate pushup/pullup torture and it's your favorite}( 3 months is a very long time to follow a rotation. Thanks to all of you I'm sticking it out:)

Angie-I too can see a difference in my upper body. I don't know if it would show up in a picture, but I can see the changes. The program works if you work the program.

Poochy-I want legs like yours:) Yep, week 12 for me too. I'm so over the X and find it hard to bring it anymore. It's not that I don't like the workouts, or they're not effective, I'm just tired of doing the same thing over and over and over again.

Hey Ladies.

I would LOVE to share my energy with you all but it's really lacking in these last weeks of the X. This is why I am anxious to finish. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up! LOL It's not the cardio that is wearing me out...it's the lifting! Cardio is like a vacation these days! LOL }(

Once I am done X'ing it and move on to a new rotation I should regain my energy and I will be happy to send y'all some! :7

So are we going to continue our little check in post X? I'm game if everyone else is! We can call it the January Starters Post X Check-In once everyone is done...game? :)

Off to find some energy for C&B now!

Chest/tricep/shoulder done!! Thank goodness .. and WHEW .. it was tough!!:eek: .. SIL is cussing me again .. said she can't count money (works at a bank) b/c her arms are shaking too bad!!

SIL asked me today what "we" are going to do after I finish the X rotation .. she said "what do we start all over" .. I just glared at her .. and said .. "UUUUUMMM .. not right away ... but I will come up with something" .. LOL

I too am ready to be DONE .. I get bored easily .. and if I were not seeing results I would not be able to finish .. plus I am just plain old stubborn and with you gals motivating me .. I WILL make it thru this week .. and ONE MORE!!!

Hey Nancy, we must have been posting at the same time. I'm sure glad you're feeling better.

Wendy-so now you're even tiring of the X? Phase 3 is when it really hit me. It seemed to come on so sudden, but I'm sure it was the accumulation of all the weeks leading up to phase 3. You are too close to the end to stop now.

Poochy-I probably would've punched her if she said that to me! Just kidding. I can't wait to do more Cathe workouts. Where do you and SIL workout?

I'm game for continuing the post X checkin'. The weather should be perfect for running when the X is over.

Hey .. we are lucky our gym is right down the road from us .. she actually works one block over from me .. so that makes it easy and convenient to workout together at lunch ... we both have a kitchen at work .. and I have a supply of Lean Quisines and salad stocked up!! If you FF thru Tony's banter we usually can get the entire workout in .. LOL ..

I too am ready for some Cathe workouts .. I have not even done Butts and Gutts yet .. :eek: .. that is #1 on my list of ones to do first .. then BodyMax2 which I would have to say is my all time favorite workout of any!

I think if I did not have my classes to have variety it would have been much harder to stick to the X ..

My arms are still shaking from today .. so tonight's class will be mainly cardio .. LOL ... :7
 
Another lost post...............

Just finished Butts and Guts and OMG!!!! I had forgotten!!!! This one fries your legs like no other. I could barely make it down the stairs - my legs felt like rubber. I had to pause occasionally. I wonder if Cathe takes breaks during this one as not one of them seemed out of breath through the whole thing. I was panting. I'm looking forward to my legs killing me tomorrow:7

Yes, I would love to continue to post here too. I feel like we're getting to "know" each other in a good way.:) (And, of course, we need Wendy's energy)

Hi all

I did the German Potato soup workout. I tweeked a muscle in my back while pulling a 25# in lawnmowers. No big deal though - it's not that sore. I was able to complete the workout but ended with the 20# instead.

Laura - Your legs and hips shrunk and that's a bad thing?? Oh, how I wish I had that problem. Mine shrunk and I was elated!!:) Although my arms are thin and the weight work really helped with definition. I get a kick out of your stories with SIL.:7

Wendy - Did you have a nice anniversary dinner? You are the first couple that I know of who has gone to the gym to workout for your anniversary.:)

Nancy - Dang work! Don't those kids know that your trying to post on Cathe? How dare they get sick at such a time. LOL!:7 I'm kinda glad I don't have internet at work - not sure I would ever get anything done.:eek:

Diana - The X has certainly changed my upper body (and lower for that matter too). I just can't get over it when I do YogaX and I see my thighs from a different view - it just amazes me. I, for some reason, really notice my arms on KenpoX - they are more muscular for sure.

I would love to continue to post after the X is over with. I feel like I have made a neat connection - you know, sharing the pain of the X and all....:) It's so nice to share with people who have been there and done that.

I know how most of you are feeling with the lack of motivation on those last few weeks. Hang in there. Before you know it, it will be done. Then if you are like me, you'll do one full week of Cathe and then go back to the X. It feels like an old pair of comfy jeans. I love the Cathe and X blend. It's not boring and I'm still getting the benefits of weight loss and muscle gain.

I've rambled long enough for tonight.......
