P90X January Starters, Monday

Today is CST/ARX.

I woke up yesterday incredibly sore in my lower body from Legs and Back yesterday! My lats hurt too!}( I'm STILL sore this morning!

Good Morning Ladies,

This time change really threw me off. I didn't get up til 7:30 and now don't have time to work out. It is the dreaded pushup/pullup torture today. }(

On Saturday I did the 90 min sjp/sb cardio which is one of my favorites. We had my son's birthday party so I needed to burn as many calories as possible. Yesterday I rode bikes with my 11 yr old.

I need to go back and read what everyone else did over the weekend. It is supposed to be 70 degrees here today. I'm going to run at lunch:)

Morning Ladies!!
(Phase 3 - Week 11 - day 1 - my version classic)

OK .. I am almost ashamed to post today w/you dedicated girls. Because I have been BAAAAAD .. REAL bad .. even for me!!

Friday .. had the lunch EATFEST for charity .. ummmmm .. pot roast - pork tenderloin - peas, corn, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and HOMEMADE banana pudding. I ate so much I made myself sick!! could not hardly eat supper (but did). It was my brother's b-day ..so of course we celebrated w/some BEERS. Then Sat. at the beach - pizza for lunch .. then we went to this seafood resteraunt for supper - FRIED everything and NUMEROUS BEERS!!! Then Sunday was grilled tenderloin and NUMEROUS BEERS!! (see a trend here?)

OH .. and did you see anything in there about EXERCISE?? NO you didn't b/c I DID NOTHING .. NOTHING .. OMG .. talk about blowing it. I do not deserve to be in all of your presence today!!

So today after the weekend party and food fest .. had to get up an hour early (I am not a morning person at all) .. I feel like crap .. look like crap .. and have major guilt for blowing it so horribly!

I did have a good time blowing it .. the weather was gorgeous and hot .. actually have some sun on my body .. :eek:

Today it is back to reality .. I HAVE to do better ... we are shorthanded and that does not help ..

OK .. I am ducking my sorry butt outta here .. I WILL do better!!

It sounds like the time-change really hurts everyone!! It takes me a week to recover. I love the time change in the Fall as it makes me feel better for a week. I guess it balances out, huh? I do LOVE the lighter hour in the evening though!!

Laura, we all have those weekends! They're good for the soul. I know the feeling you have now (very well, I'm afraid). I know that once I start "being bad", there's no stopping me. I'm always starting "tomorrow" and then something (usually delicious) comes up and BAM I blow it. Such a big part of life is enjoying food so it's a hard battle. Look at me preaching......I'm usually the one that needs the lecture, lol.

Okay, a kickbox workout on tap for this evening. I haven't decided which one yet.

I haven't worked out yet today. At this point now I can't do it until tonight. ACK. I may go to the gym for a run and do CST tomorrow instead...I'll have to see what will work.

I love the X but I think I am officially tired of the heavy lifting. My motivation is lacking more and more these days for the weight work. I only have a few more weeks. Please don't let me give up now girls!!!!:eek:
 
Don't give up Wendy .. you are too close .. but I am like you .. ready to not push so hard on the weight .. but then and again .. I do not want to loose the strength I have gained .. nor do I want to loose the definition in my upper body ... (well definition for me.. LOL)

Wendy .. you are too strong willed to give up now .. you ARE OUR motivator .. quit??? NO WAY .. that is an ORDER!!! }(
 
Hi Laura.

I will not give up and quit on the X! I can't. I have come too far w/fabulous results to quit! I just needed a little kick in the behind to remind me of that and you took care of that for me. Thanks!}(

When the X rotation is complete, I want to do a BBC rotation but I'll have to see if that is heavy lifting or what. If it is, I may need a month of endurance work first before doing that cause I really think I need the break. I will definately be upping my cardio for a month as well...just because I miss it so much!}(

I'm definately going to the gym in a bit for that run and I will make the rest of the week work even if I have to double up work outs to do it!}(

I'm glad you're not quitting the X!! I wasn't seeing/feeling the results that I needed to stay with it but you are!!! I'm glad for you and I'm sure you're going to love the results.

I did KPC tonight and enjoyed it. I did think of Kenpo a few times during it - I really like that one. I may put it into this rotation I'm doing occasionally.

It's pretty quiet on here tonight. Maybe everyone is tired, I know I am.

Wendy - You CANT give up!! It's so funny how the first few weeks of the X are soooo motivating and sooooo fun. The second phase is still cool too because you still see and feel results. However, the last part of the X really requires a lot of dedication to get it done and bring it!!}( The last 2 weeks was really a challenge to stay positive and stay on track. I guess there's a reason it's 90 days - long enough to get results but short enough to keep doing it. The only reason I finished was because I wanted those darn after pics. LOL! I would have been so mad at myself if I had gone that far and not finished it off. You'll be glad you did it! Otherwise, you'll be wondering what if until it drives you nuts and you have to go back and re-do the whole thing :eek: :7 ;(
BTW, what's a BBC rotation?

Diana - I hear ya about the time change. I stayed up until midnight last night because I just wasn't tired. Then I went to bed and tossed and turned all night. It was pretty hard draggin my sorry butt out of bed this morning. I even had to wake up the boys and usually they are up way before they need to be for school. You had 70 degree weather??:eek: You lucky dog!! We're supposed to get into the 50's tomorrow. I love spring. Can't wait to go morrell mushrooming.:9

Laura - sounds like you had an awesome weekend! Don't you dare feel guilty about it!! What's more important in life then spending good times with family and friends?? NOTHING!!:) More power to ya! My weekend was incredibly boring so I'm a bit jealous. But I can't complain - I kinda like the boring weekends with nothing planned. But, St. Pats day is Saturday, so we might go and be a little naughty.

Anyone else have St. Pats plans?

Nancy - Thanks for keeping me company yesterday. Now I know what everyone was doing - LOL! Have fun with your kickboxing workout!!

Angie, BBC is Barry's Boot Camp! I just bought it. I should have it in about a week. Plenty of time to preview and plan for a post X rotation!}(

I ran 3.5 miles at the gym w/the help of a new Itread work out. It was some flats, some hills, some sprints...a goodie as usual! The Itreads really mix it up and keep every run fresh. I love 'em!}(

Tomorrow I have to figure out what to do now that I didn't do CST/ARX today. I'll get it all in though...Don't y'all worry about a thing!:p
