Over the flu, what to do?

Although I got my seasonal flu shot, I still managed to get a mild form of it. I have been unable to exercise for over a week (almost two). I'm upset that this happened because I just began Cathe's February rotation. I'm planning on working out again (probably) Wednesday. I'd like some advice about which Cathe workout to do to "ease myself" back into my routine and get my strength back. I feel like if I start right back in with one of the XTrain DVDs, I might really be biting off more than I can chew. What are your thoughts, Cathletes? Thanks so much for your help! Cathe and Cathletes rock!!!!!! :)

Why not pick something you have liked in the past and tell yourself that you only need to do 15 to 30 minutes of it the first time. Quit when your ready and by the next day you should be able to do more!:)

How about Low Impact Circuit? Cardio and Weights or MMA kickbox? Those are some of my favorites for a lighter day. Take it easy.

I like this! I feel like I am still recovering from the flu even though I got it 3 weeks ago. I was off workouts for 9 days. When I did get back in I just did 40 minute workout and kind of took it easy. Also, I did not not back BOOM! every single day. I did 2 days on, 1 off, 2 days on, 1 off.

If I felt tired at all I really listened to my body.

Also, when I did start back, I was really surprised at how my stamina was down and I was weak, so just know that may happen!

I hope you feel better soon.

My lasted at least 3 weeks. As soon as I thought I was recovered, the weather changed and symptoms resurfaced. The next time, I recovered I've been into functional fitness since of clearing wood and shoveling snow. Plan to get back into Cathe post-trip.

I couldn't work out for 1.5 weeks due to leg surgery. I just went right to where I left off...I actually felt stronger..must have been the rest. I did ease back into legs, started with Xtrain legs and took it easy.
