OT! Kitty Litter Cake

I just had to share this. Someone here at work made this kitty litter cake today. Check out this link for the recipe and picture.

It was so gross looking but everyone seemed to like it. I didn't try it though. I thought this would be something neat to make for Halloween! I love how the recipe keeps emphasizing to use a CLEAN UNUSED litter box and scooper.

I like the idea (last year for Halloween, I made "finger" cookies that looked like fingers. They even had black fingernails, made from food=color dyed almond slices). But I don't think I could talk myself into eating it! When I was a kid, we didn't have a regular plastic litter box (did they even have those in the early 60's? ) so we used a big metal and ceramic pan. Years later, I was at someone's house for dinner, and they served lasagna in an identical pan! I could barely make myself eat it, because I so associated that pan with kitty poop and pee!

I literally can't stop laughing (but at the same time I could gag)-That is hysterical - and I WILL be taking it to work for Halloween. I get teased since I am the only cat lover in the dental office so what a great idea! :9

I think the kitty litter casserole came on the scene before the cake. The casserole has disgusting visuals too. Yuck, I don't think I could ever be hungry enough to endulge. Although, after a couple of rotations of S&H,when my appetite is really over-the-edge...perhaps, just a nibble of litter.;-)

Those finger cookies with the black fingernails sound pretty gross too Kathryn! I really couldn't bring myself to try this cake and I LOVE tootsie rolls but not looking like that!! Did you see how one was hanging over the edge of the pan...like kitty missed? Tee-Hee!!

The reason I don't have a cat (and I truly like cats) is because of the whole cat box issue. It gags me so badly! Morbid curiosity alone had me take a look at this, and I actually think it would be really fun for a Youth Group event. I am always looking for ways to torment my highschoolers}( ;-)
