Opinions on this bench?

Hi Tess. The box will probably fit in the backseat of a car, but it will probably take up the whole space. It was pretty big. I guess it also depends on what size car you have.

ETA: I wonder if you can get the dimensions of the box online?
 
Now your ladies have me wondering…. I’m pretty sure my feet don’t touch the ground on the bench either (I’m 5’5” tall). I usually prop my feet up on the bench when I bench press or do “skull crushers” so I never really noticed. I do have to sit “forward” when I use it for seated work though.

Oh Melissa, I got this recommendation from a fellow YaYa. You know how we all like to enable each other, lol. I don’t think I’d have half the stuff I do if I didn’t visit all these fitness boards!!! :)

Thanks for all the help guys! I ended up buying the one from Wal-mart. I am doing the in-store pick-up so hopefully I will get it soon. :)
 
Hi, Ladies,

I broken down and pre ordered STS. I am looking at bench equipment too. For those who have wal mart one, could you let me know how sturdy it is? For some reason, I am afraid it will tip over.

It's very sturdy and stable. I can not imagine it would tip over. The only problem I have sometimes is when I am lifting very heavy for squats or bench getting the wt back on the rack and that's just because I am so fatigued. Not the fault of the equipment LOL!!

Catherine, where did you get the 7' bar? I think I'm going to have to get a 7' bar also. Ugghh. I have a 6' bar and a ton of standard weights with 1" holes. I really don't want to have to replace all my weights with olympic size. Did you get a standard bar that fits the 1" plates?
 
Thanks Catherine. I just called around and found one that I think will work for $40 locally so gonna go check it out next week! My play it again doesn't have it. :( I'm relieved I don't have to get all new weights!!
 
Ok,this might sound dumb question. Can anyone tell me what this bench would help the heavy load? I thought you could lean on the bench so that squad with heavy weight would be supported. Can you tell me how do you use it?

I just had to post and report that I went to Walmart yesterday on the off chance they would have the bench / rack. Sure enough, they had it up on display so I could see it and they had one left. DH was such a sweetheart to go along with all my madness. It was only $134 in the store and it fit nicely in the back seat of my car. DH set it up for me yesterday. I am soooo happy with it!! I need to go buy a larger bar for it today. I love that you can move the bench - my unit before was not half as versatile as this one is. Love it!! Here's a pic:

It looks awesome Tess!!! I can't wait to get mine. I ran by Wal-mart just to see if they had any, but they didn't, so I will have to wait until mine comes in. Hopefully sometime this week. :)

You guys aren't going to be happy until I cave I guess! I am soo jealous you have one already! Can you tell me...will my Troy lite BB fit? I do have an olympic size bar but it weighs 45#'s w/o any plates on it. I hate to have to buy another bar! Sounds like I am caving, doesn't it????? Thanks a LOT! Ha!
