**ONE DAY AT A TIME** SEPT.10 thru DEC.31

Good morning, ladies! I still haven't worked out - it still hurts to even lie flat on my back. Until that's gone, I know I shouldn't do anything. However, I think I'm going to try some yoga this evening. If I don't hear Cathe's cheerful voice soon, I may go under! (Just kidding...)
Renee: I'm sorry that your father is not doing well right now. It must be really, really hard on him (& you!) to be facing this. I'm keeping him (& you) in my prayers. Good job on your workouts!!! I understand your frustration about your foot still hurting, that's for sure! I know that Cathy does, too! GROUP HUG!!!;)
Cathy: I'm so sorry to hear about your frustrating week! All those trips - yikes! That's never good on your body!!! I hope this week goes better! Are you sleeping any better? I actually slept through the night last night. First time EVER since I got my sleep apnea machine (maybe 5 years ago?)!

I. Hate that about ur back.. yoga will help hopefully. I know it helpss mine most days. But mine is more in muscle I think because it is the lower back toward the right so I don't thinm it is a disk.plus it was after tile work I felt it kinda pull whe. I did it. Problem is that was awhile back now.. what fpur months and it still hurts if I am sitting then stand up. So yoga does help that. Not sure if it helps disk. I have a yoga tape called yogi marlon. Her name is Marlon brasser? Can't remember but that is GREAT for back pain its 3 workouts the first relaxes back and aligns the disk is what she said then strengthen the back then stronger back. The introduction is boring after while and she seems funnny sounding I can hear her swallow lol but do it and u feel immediately relief once. U are finished I did just the relax one at first for a few days then did relax then strengthen.

Cathy how r u today? I hope u got to stay home awhile lol. U know I hate leaving my house anymore lol. I do not enjoy shopping or leaving house... I have to go to work but once I get home I don't like going again. I guess cause I ran the roads forever with kids sports groceries full time job plus my moms doc apts plus taking old peopple to church then there apts. My husband said I should open a bus service for the elderly as much as id take them places. At least tthen id grt paid gas lol. But I don't do it anymore. Once my mom past I can't be around elderly anymore like I used to. I love. Them so and feel so bad for them that I ware it on my heart and just can't do it now. Hurts my heart to much.
So yah I just would rather stay home. I hope u guys get better soon.I pray for all of us you know.

I did push pull yesterday and loved it. I really wish I can find another like that one. 45 min total body! And u can make to easy or hard. Plus music is nice in it.
 
Been on my feet for the better part of the day trying to preserve tomatoes!
My chiropractor was my regular appointment & went well! The one on Fri. was the unscheduled appointment!
And I was up during the night

Renee: Great on the Push/Pull:D It's a great DVD!
I use to be on the road all the time when my kids were going to school, so now I prefer staying home.

Good morning, ladies! Fall is in the air here. It was in the low 40's when I got up this morning. Felt kinda good after all the heat we had this summer.
I did Yoga Relax yesterday evening. Felt really good! Nothing hurt while I was doing it, so that's good!
I hate being away from home, too!!! & car trips slay my back, too! My mother is a "stay-at home body", too, so I guess I get it honestly.
Cathy: I'm so sorry you were up most of the night! :mad: If someone could just help you get some sleep, maybe that would help with the pain. I was up off & on again all night, but at least now I know that a full night's sleep is possible...:p Ooh, I cannot be on my feet like that, either! I had to go to a party a couple of weekends ago & I was on my feet for 2 hours. I thought my back was going to explode!
Renee: Yes, my fingers are good - LOL! Love your sense of humor!!!:D
Great job on Push/Pull! I'm hoping I'll be able to start lifting again soon. It doesn't help that this weekend during Clean Max, I cracked my elbow on the corner of a cabinet - yes, the one with tennis elbow. Thought I was going to pass out... It's still sore...:mad:
Well, I will definitely try something tonight & I'll let you know how it goes!

Hi my friends I did Afterburn today! Love hate that one lol have to just do reg push ups not the dragging ones the first round I Did half of them, by second round not even. Lol I did do the rest I think at 34 minutes I took a 20 second breather. Next time, I hope I don't have to get a Breather.
Wow cathe I know how it is to not sleep and Jane is right it may not be helping the pain. I hope u get better soon.
Jane that's great news on yoga! Yaaaa.. oh girls did u hear? Filming in about two weeks! Oh I love new workouts.
That reminds me I ordered dvds from collage video and its been two weeks! I'm used to amazon I get it in a few days. :( I am inpatient!
 
Good morning, ladies! Another cool morning here, but it feels great!
I DID hear that - about the filming in a couple weeks! SO EXCITED! Just hope I'm feeling "up" to them by the time they get here!
So, I did Yoga Relax again last night, & I think that I should have done something else. I was actually a bit sore from it (how quickly we get out of shape!!!:eek:) & so doing it again right away just intensified the soreness. Tonight, I think I'm going to try a Pure Strength DVD. They're only 40-some minutes long & I don't want to push it!
Renee: GREAT JOB on AfterBurn! Awesome, awesome! Every time you do it, you'll get better. That's what I like about Cathe's DVD's - there's always room for improvement. How's your father doing?
Cathy: Darn, I was hoping you were starting to feel better! I know you're right about the rain & dampness not helping - we get pretty good at predicting the weather with our bodies, don't we? Is most of the garden work done now? I'm hoping if you're not having to do all that work, maybe the pain will start to ease a bit.
Can you believe it's almost October? This year has just flown!!!

Last night I did my physio stretches!

Jane im so happy you are doing the strength video please tell us how that goes.. i hope it is going to help.. I know that stinks about the yoga this time not helping crap.. maybe did you look up that one i told you about?

Cathe That is good what weigth training dvd was it? Im so excited that you guys are able to do soemthing i know you are wanting to climb the walls at this point..

I took a rest day today, but guess what i did? I used to LOVE to dance,, you guys are gonna laugh probly but i bought the jazzerize Burlesque DVD !! It was so fun i poped it in to " ck it out," thought oh well, this will be a learning curve so i put it on the fast 20 minute dance! Wow i couldnt help it, i had to get up and do it even though i was supose to PREVIEW it. lol it was really fun and there was NO learning curve at all... I didnt like sweat like crazy, but i had fun and i felt like i was a dancer again. LOVED it so yes still a rest day because it was that much fun!!

Not sure what i will do tomorrow, we will see i may do the jazzercise again only as an add on to something like a sweatfest that im sure Cathy will deliver! lol

Have a wonderful evening.. oh my i almost forgot i saw a women i do not know but she knows me and my son who is 22 and she said something about my son i ask her how she knew me and she said her daughter says i am her idol!! WHAT? I never ever thougth in a million years i would be that to anyone at all.. I use to be thin where i lost alot and even though i gained weight i went to military and she was in awe over that n she told her mom i never stop and she thinks i am a machine WHAT? lol im so happy she said that.. i was leaving and i told her to tell her hi and she said she will and i was a great infulence on her daughter she now runs also!! I am so happy about that.. I am glad i can be an influence to someone.. i mean my own children does not seem like they think that.. but anyway I guess im known in my area because i do get out and run, and i do keep trying. I will keep on keeping on now lol
 
Good afternoon, ladies! I didn't do a workout yesterday evening. I decided not to push my luck. I will do one this evening, though. I realized that starting back with a workout every single day was probably not a smart idea. ;)
Renee: WHAT AN AWESOME SHOT IN THE ARM THAT STORY IS!!!! See, ya never know when you're being an inspiration! That's why we can never give up! & don't worry about your own children - they usually don't think that way until they've gotten a little older.:p Oh, I love to dance, too! I had looked at that DVD. So, you think it's a good buy? Do you have any other Jazzercise DVD's? My step-daughter used to take Jazzercise classes - she loved them.
Cathy: Do you like the body weight training? I've been seeing a lot of interest in the Horizontal Conditioning DVD's, but I imagine they would hurt my elbow. What doesn't hurt my elbow? LOL
Hope you two have a good weekend! It's supposed to get cool here this weekend. That will be a blessed relief from the heat & humidity we've had!
 
Did Yoga last night before bed!

Jane: I don't normally like body weight training but with the results some people are getting I thought I'd try it again! I did order HC but, I'm still previewing them!

I was also looking at the same Jazzercise Burlesque dance dvd but was wondering how my back would like the dance?

I am gong to do cardio supersets today, i had to run around for people today and i just got settled back home, I need to clean still but im gonna get a breather then workout. Cathe tell me how the HC is i was going to get that to just was afraid it would be to hard.. lol Also the jazzercies dvd i told you about i dont think it is bad on the back at all. It is hips moving side to side but not bad at all it was fun..

I loved it, it is a great buy but that is because i love to dance and it isnt really a WORKOUT but it is just a fun thing to do. i sweat a little lol maybe i will mre once i know what is coming up next.. Yes it is nice to hear that girl say that and she is 20 years younger then i am.. wowowowow lol no my head isnt big yet but if i hear more of that it may just get bigger lol.
 
Hello ladies i didnt tell you all what happened yesterday, I had to do a lot of running around for my niece. Her husband left her for a crack head!"! I'm trying to help her get every thing in his name and he says I'm coaching her. U have to b seperated for one yr in sc before u are granted a divorce. So she was supose to do that as well. But she did not, said he might be watching her go in there! Hunmm he said to me he don't know what he wants yet and she acting like there divorce already! And he took the kids with him to spend night with him and his bimbo! Y my neice let that happen is beyond my understanding. I have been marred before to someone like that I think he has her where he can have his hair pie and eat it to! She WILL take him back I know it he left her a d three babies two times in the last week! Her oldest is 6 youngest is only 6 months! He claims she wont give hom sex enough and she isn't attractive to him anymore... coming from a man who has to really carry his belly in a wheel barrel! Welll its getting that big he should. Discusting. If she don't take a stand I'm not gonna help her more until she's ready. I'm not wasting time or my day running around just for her to go back And reverse it. She works he takes her money to pay bills he don't work but odd jobs. She thinks he was paying some xauae his odd jobs but he even told her she's gonna be fine cause her money paid the bills! Car is in his name hd was sooo mad cause I told him to let it b in her name he said its her car.. well then it should in her name. It is rediculous. He wanted to move the girl in there home he told neice that way he can figure out what he wants and take care of kids! Wow id puke! She is all confused and afraid. My sister her mom needs to get here to help her I can't deal with it. My sister doesn't work and its her daughter not mine. Sounds cold but for yrs my neices nephews and my mom comes to me for help amd at timez its overwhelming. I have a family of my own and I have a job. Hard to do everything so I told my sister if Danielle keeps taking him back she doesn't need to call me for HELP ..
Until she really reasy to leave him. I loaned them 300 dollars we don't really have for power bill! He better pay it back to. Ok enough grouching. Am I being unreasonable?
I may do cardio supersets today. Not sure.

Good afternoon, ladies. I did Pure Strength Back, Biceps & Abs yesterday evening. Boy oh boy, was I ever disappointed at my strength loss! :( Went from doing 12 lb. bicep curls to struggling with 8 lbs!!! & my elbow does not like me at all today! Clean Max aggravates it every week, plus every time I did a bicep curl, I could almost feel the tendon scraping over the bone. :confused:
Cathy: Keep up the good stretching work & yoga. I know it's hard to hold back, but I think it honors your body more at this point.
Renee: I learned the hard way last year about a situation similar to your niece's, but it was with my son. #1-don't ever loan family money. You will not get it back. #2-don't get involved - it backfires in your face every time. My son stayed with us last year for 4 months - we loaned him thousands of dollars that we'll never see again, & he went right back to her - AFTER we got him an apartment, a new car, and new furniture. I gave him half of our silverware, plates, etc.,etc. He left her again a month ago & first thing he did was call me, wanting help. I asked him what happened to all that stuff we gave him - he said he sold it. I told him he wasn't going to get sympathy or one thin dime from me this time... He's already back with her...& they've withheld visiting rights from me for my granddaughter all this time. I haven't seen her in a year & a half. I hate to be that way, I really do, because he's my son, but it's called tough love - it's the only way they learn. As long as you do everything for them, they'll let you & take advantage of you all the way! OK - off my soapbox!!!

Good afternoon! I did Pure Strength Chest, Shoulders & Triceps today. I went light, since I learned from Back & Biceps that my strength isn't there! It will take me awhile, but hopefully, I'll get built back up!

Jane so happy happy u r working out again! It is so crazy how we lose strength so fast but forever to gain strength! Sucks. But u doing it!
Thanks about tbe workout comment. I really like cardio hits so far, not to hard as far as learning curve goes it does make u sweat yah... but not a lot of complicated turns. Then I did gym style bi back shoulders. I wish I can get pyramid ub I hear that one is straight forward. I will do cardio supersets today. Ill be back tonight

Wow Cathe I can't wait to hear how HC will do to ur abs! I heard a lot of good stuff.
Ur right Cathy they wont appriciate the help either really. I try hard to do tough love with my boys... it is hard. Then I get my sisters kids asking for help. I say no then my sisters get pissy. But I remember for yrs my sisters wernt even around me to help me. And I know they wouldn't help my kids... and the kicker? I wouldn't expect it of them. So I am trying to keep my distance but like today that poor girl called three times just asking what I was up to. I talk to her and told her she can bring herself and kids by today if she needs but she was waiting on her dumb hubby to see the kids. Soo I told her that's fine just be careful.
 
Today was chiropractor & groceries
Came home & went for a walk with the dogs(really aggravated the hip) & did Yoga on the stability ball:)
