Your right cathe they are in another state so they will just limited to what they can do for now. As far as my other family goes with there kids humm lol they wasn't to much there when they we're little like to busy drinking every night. Sad really. And a couple kids just in my opinion are manipulative. And they caught on like i did with mine. Lol I am practicing tuff love for now with mine.
But if my neice wont stand up for herself I wont be able to do anything and I told her that last night. I had to let her know I won't waste time she has to have back bone to stand up for herself. I mean really tooo much to deal with! So I mentioned she may need to move back to Florida with her kids. I mean she has no other family here. It makes since to go back really.

I took rest day today. My feet are bothering me and both knees are feeling ....twingy.
Yoga is so good for the body I think!

Oh almost forgot cathy plz tell me u preview HC so tell me WHAT do u think so far? I also want to know when u do it how good was it or how hurtful was it! ! I hear it is hard.

Cold & rainy day here today - feels a lot colder than 57! Brrr! Just got back from the chiropractor. She worked on my elbow a lot - she said it's ticking her off that it's not getting any better! LOL Well, I thought I was going to be sick, she worked on it so hard! She told me to ice it when I got home tonight, because it would be very sore. I talked to her about my weight work. She doesn't want me doing any push ups at all. She said I can hold plank, but that's it. She also doesn't want me going any heavier on bicep curls than 2 pounds! :eek: She said when I can tolerate 2 pounds, I can go up to 5, but she NEVER wants me to go heavier than 8 to 10 pounds. I told her that during STS (2 years ago) I got up to 14 pounds & she said the reason that I hurt myself was because I was lifting too heavy for my frame. She doesn't want me doing straight-armed side lateral or front raises, either...:( I'm pretty bummed, but she said I have to recognize my body's limitations...:(
Cathy: I'm sorry that the walk aggravated your hip. I haven't been able to walk since I hurt my hip - walking aggravates it, but step doesn't (weird!).
Renee: Yes, please rest if things are feeling twingey! Learn from our experience!!! LOL
Yesterday evening, I did Basic Step. I figured there wouldn't be any impact in that one! I was still in a lot of pain afterwards. :confused: Maybe Yoga tonight, or one of the Stretch Max segments.

Oh noooo Jane I'm so sorry to hear this! I hate that because it limits a lot of workouts like afterburn and a lot of low impact series because of all the planks and stuff crap.

Well on that note... I did to the max. It was only 39 min premix its LI and I burned alittle over 300 calories so id say that is a wonderful wonderfully perfect work out for right after work. Whoop whoop!

Yesterday was freezing veggies & we finished up at 11 pm. last night!

Jane: My chirpractor has told me the same thing! Nothing heavier than 5 LBS. for shoulders & nothing over 8 LBS. for flies, bench press, triceps! So I'm starting at 2 LBS.

Cathy that mustt be a lot of work! I remember when my mom would can it seemed like a lot of time and hot kitchen lol.

I did older cathe today step fit. I may try to do weight tonight or mag wait til tomorrow after work and do push pull. Not sure yet.

My dad doesesound good. I haven't been able tk go back in yet. But he sounds ruff on the phone for sure.
 
Took a day off yesterday - can't seem to get motivated. :confused:

Cathy: My, your garden sounds wonderful! Are you almost through with all of the hard work of it? It's GOT to be hard on your body - what with all that standing & for such a long period of time!

My elbow feels a lot better today than I expected it to after the workout the chiropractor gave me yesterday. That's a good thing, I guess...
 
I am very sorry for those with all the pain

Whether it is your hip, your knee, or your back, I feel it also. When I do leg kicks, I cannot go very high with my right leg, as I have a McDavid knee brace on it. I did very stupid things such as racing a half marathon and then running 8 miles the next day when I should have rested. I can still run with the knee brace, but it is still warm and muggy here. Today I did Lomax but only on a six inch step, and I have to build up to eight inches. I did the leg portion of Muscle Max, which I am getting really sick of, but I do not want to spend an hour on my legs. I also refuse to use the high step now. I can always do the butts portion of Butts and Gutts, I guess. The doctor who did my breast implants lost his license because so many women sued him. I asked him for a C cup, and I am very small, 5'2" and around 108, and he gave me double D's. They weigh about three pounds each, and my back always hurts. I can get pain killers, but I cannot take them every day as you become addicted to them, and they stop working. I am so glad this forum is here for us with pain issues. Thank you all.

My chiropractor told me never to do my shoulders or my chest, so I do my back, bi's and tri's

Even though KickMax is not the greatest, I ordered another copy of it because I really like those leg exercises at the end. Keep the faith up all, and thank you so much for this forum.

Good afternoon, ladies! I did Low Impact Step yesterday evening. I'm still trying not to jar anything in my back. This evening, we have to take our dog to the vet - I think she has an abcessed tooth. :( I'll let DH handle her - one jerk from her would really do a number on my elbow! :p
Renee: Keep up the good work! How's the foot doing today? Do you notice any correlation with the weather?
Caitlin: Good to hear from you!!! Great job on the LowMax! I love that one, but it will be awhile before I try it again. Good idea on lowering the step height. ;) I'm sorry you're in so much pain - how awful about the surgeon!!! HUGS! Did your chiropractor give you his reasoning re: not working shoulders or chest? I'd be very interested to hear!
Cathy: Wow! Went from hot & muggy to downright cold! We haven't had to turn the furnace on yet, but it's been close! Hope you're feeling a bit better & that the walk with the dogs doesn't have a lingering effect.

Jane I'm so tickled u did low. Impact step! I wish she put that work out with some new music. I love the length and it can be harder if u add more risers or whatever it is fun.
No jane not my foot and weather.. but my back and weather or my joints. Also I know it sounds strange but if I eat a lot of high protein it hurts my joints and foot. I don't know if that's accurate or if it is just coincidence. Not sure what ill do today. I'll bbl to post.

I am happy that your chiro said you could work out again. It is warm and muggy here in Staten Island, New York, and I am trying to do the step portion of Low Impact Circuit, but it seems that in the humid weather, everything hurts more. When the weather cools off, I am going to attempt runs outside again. I will always have my McDavid knee brace on, and I have Asics running shoes that are in good shape. I am still on a six inch step for everything, but I hope to get in better shape and do step on a eight inch step. I viewed the trailer for "To the Max," and it looked harder even than Imax 3, which I can only do half of. Crossfired looked doable to me, but I don't think that, at this time, I could do it with the band.

I have no boyfriend now, and James Behr called me, and he said he might come to see me tomorrow night. He is so cute with blue eyes and curly brown hair, and he is a lawyer and he teaches music at Juillard. James tells me that, with my M.A. in British Literature from New York University, which now ranks third of all the universities in New York City. Columbia and Cornell are ahead of it. Anyway, James tells me that I could teach college with my Master's degree, and it would probably be English 100, but I would love to teach again. I quit teaching in NYC high schools, because they have metal detectors, and they are horrible. Anyway, James and I have had three dates over the years, and we have never been intimate. I like to go very slowly now. I know that my sentence structure if off in this letter, but I am not writing a thesis. Smiles. I am so happy this forum exists, and all of you rock. I love your posts, Renee.

Wow Catliin, teacher! very respectable job.. very hard job as well. Yeah that would be scary to work at a school wirh metal detectors. Very sad but I would not be able to b a teacher the kids do not listen! !!!
Cathy it is a strange hot here to but it isn't too hot but sticky.
I did low impact circuit upperbody premix then I did butt blible on youtube.

CB, glad to hear from you. I might take today off. It is already after three, and I have not heard from James yet, and I am not calling him. I am used to being alone, and I have not had a boyfriend since last March. I really need James to help me with my resume, and I guess I could do it myself. I received a check today that will enable me to buy a car, but it is not that big, so I have to buy a cheap, used car, and get a carfax on it. I might try to do a short premix of Kickmax now but I don't feel like it.

Just quick ck in. I did not do any exercise today I mopped and made potatoe soup for a party my husbands co worker had.. I havr headache all day! No sleep DH snored so loud all night I don't sleep well anyway and every time I doozed he'd get loid o got uo and went in guest room and tried to sleep oh gawd so hot in that room. Don't know y air was on! I stay there about hour, so I try to see if DH is still snoring and NO he isn't my chance to get sleep I crwal in bed and start to doze when his snoring started again ...really ooh my GOSH lol. Soo I tried to act like a happy person today. Didn't get home til 9 we left for the thing at 2 It is mostly justt a grt together. I would not reaesay party. But they shoot guns play corn whole and eat. It was ok they don't seem to fun. Lol Noone talks enough. Got to try to sleep night

HA I have kicked him out he gets tiired of me poking him he will go away lol. But it seems some nights are way louder then other times. I hate not sleeping with him. But I got to sleep.
I did AT gawd I forgot what wwas in it. I don't remember ab work or the weight work. I thought it was just compound work and step cardio in begging. It was harder this time! I've done it a few times but it has been awhile it seems harder theen before! Lol..so funny and confusing. I started a thread about it. Thought it wpuld b interesting to hear if others have workouts that feel like that.
So hope. Every one had a great weekend.
