? on doing 1RM tests correctly

I'm about 2/3 of the way done on my 1RM tests and I've realized that I've probably done many of them incorrectly. That is, I have tried to get to muscle failure in 8-10 reps at the expense of form.

My question is, which is more important? reaching muscle failure or keeping good form?

I can reach the point of bad form WAY sooner than I reach fatigue... Thanks.
 
Actually both are important. As far as testing is concerned failure is reached when you can no longer maintain good form and have to "cheat" to finish a rep.
 
That's what I thought. It looks like I need to redo some... I wish I knew which ones! LOL... Thanks!
