I agree with Carola. The idea that anyone is "pro-abortion" is simply ridiculous. That's nothing more than a political position.
I feel horribly for this couple and can not begin to imagine what they're going through (honestly, who can). My thoughts are with them during this most difficult time.
As for god - although "he" may test adults, what kind of "god" would intentionally do that to a defenseless, helpless infant? If you believe, you must believe this is about the parents and their test. No benevolent being, whatever they're called, would choose to make a baby suffer that way. Certainly not one I would believe in.

Come on guys...enough. At least start another thread if you want to continue this subject. Lorrie was upset, and rightly so, and needed to let out her feelings about a very painful family matter. She really doesn't need this to go on.

I was shocked that someone put the comment that began this whole debate--I think it should have been a matter of, if you can't say something to console someone in this situation, than say nothing...or start another thread about your religious beliefs and duke it out there.

Please, for Lorrie's sake, let's let this thread end.
