Old Crackling Shoulder Joints - option?

I just finished Disc #1 but have a hard time with the push ups. I know they work the chest well, but my shoulders crack waaaayyy too much to do too many of them. I have tried different hand positions, using dumbells and my pull up bar but to no comfortable avail.

Do you have a suggestion for a replacement exercise(s) so I don't have to skip the chest work while the rest of you are doing push ups?

Mind you, I am having a hard time holding my shoulders up high enough to reach my keyboard at this point in time ! :rolleyes:

What an excellent workout even without doing all the push ups ! :D
