I have all of those and don't forget the changing of any lightbulb whatsoever!!!

and that 14" step, just seems a lot higher to me :p
 
Pants are always TOO LONG...even the petite sizes are usually for some one 5'2"-5'4"!! Still too long, even sweat pants!

Then the petite sizes usually start at size 4...come on, like it's not possible to be petite and smaller than a size 4!

Other than that, I think I really like being short!;-)
 
I also have fat I just can't hide, Candi. Ditto with a stepping stool. I have to keep one in almost every room in the house.:)

I have to fly, not just go over, the length of the step. Makes for more intensity though.

Having to go to the juniors and girls departments to find clothes that fit.

Readjusting the car seat after every time my husband borrows my car. Good thing it has a programmable memory that adjusts the mirrors and steering wheel as well.

People thinking that because you're small, you're easy prey. And then they get mad when they find out you're not. Like you have no right being capable of defending yourself because of your size.

Such a SMALL selection of petite sizes in most stores, and if they have a petite section, the clothes aren't as cute.

It's hard to shop with friends, because I always have to go to another section, so it's not as fun.

But I do get out of helping DH with certain jobs around the house because I'm not tall enough. I've been relegated to holding the flashlight in most cases.

I absolutely agree with the clothes thing! Why do clothes designers thing petite women want to wear white suits with hot pink hibiscus flowers all over them?! Or cutesy shirts with scalloped collars.

I cook alot and have to kick a footstool around the kitchen with me to be able to reach my "up" cabinets.

Too-long pants

Asking strangers to reach stuff on the top shelf at the store.

My nephew is going to be taller than me soon enough!

But in general I like being small.

Reaching things.

Slow dancing with my 6'3'' hubby. We have it figured out now. But, the first time we met, he asked me to slow dance. It was a little bit awkward, so he picked me up, literally! He picked me up and carried me through the song. TeeHee!

LOL another ditto on the clothes. I hate that I always end up having to shorten already petite sized pants. Geez, the whole clothes shopping thing is pretty annoying at times.

that's about all that bugs me w/ shortness. I'm 5'4 which I guess is somewhat average.

Dani, That IS so sweet! I can only imagine how adorable you two look! Imagine how sweet that will be on your 50th wedding anniversary bash!;-)
 
Actually being 5'4" I find sometimes even the petite pants are too short!!! So what I do is buy the regular pants and then get some High Boots...:)...

As far as the step stool...I always used to just climb on my counter to get stuff. Got DH worried though (he musta forgot I was a tomboy!!) but I do try and use my step stool.

I can't believe no one mentioned sitting behind someone at the movies, theater,concerts, whatever. Especially bad if you are at a concert or football game and everyone keeps standing up. Marnie (5'2)
 
Marnie, thanks for reminding me.:) (I'm 5'1".) When we were at Disneyworld, I put my boy on my shoulders so he could see the parade. He saw most of it from on top of my shoulders. If it weren't for the tall floats, I wouldn't have any idea what the kids were cheering about. The things we do for our children...:)

I got tired of sitting behind a vacant seat only to have it filled with the tallest person in the room. Solution? Find the smallest person in the room and sit behind him/her. This usually means sitting behind a child...but it works! Sarah (4'11")

Charlotte, thanks for the reminder! I think my "elf status" helps showcase my muscle a bit better...the muscle isn't stretched or elongated over long limbs!:)
 
*Leg presses are harder for a short person using the same height step as a tall person.

*Short legs can look bulky faster than long ones.

*Short legs allow for less room for that fat to spread out on, therefore our legs get fat FASTER too! x( :p
