I had my interview and it went GREAT!!!!! I met the woman I interviewed with on the phone last week and we really hit it off. As an HRIS Manager, I was completely able to relate to the challenges she faces as an HRIS Manager. We had great chemistry. I loved the building, the location, the business casual attire. I asked when they would be making a decision, and she said hopefully by Monday. Then I asked what the next step was and she said, "Well, I probably shouldn't say this, but I want to offer you the job." So she was going to speak with the VP of HR (who was the first lady I met with today and also had a good experience) about salaries and my offer, then she anticipates they'll call me on Monday.
She showed me the desk that will be mine and it's facing this enormous window. The office is on the 25th floor, so the view is spectacular. It actually make Buffalo look like a nice city! Actually, Buffalo is a nice city - it's just broke.
I'm so excited. She asked if I would have any objections to travelling to Asia or London and I said, "Oh yeah! Twist my arm!" I don't know how much of that travelling I would do, since I will no longer be the manager. Just a well-paid analyst with an awesome view.
