Oh, I need some cheering up!

Hubby is off to Florida for a week on business. Will be spending a day at the beach on Sunday. I am happy for him, but I wanted to go too! DD will be having a great time with her friends after school today. My workout buddies must be working their butts off because I haven't heard back from them and I miss them!
My son and I will have to go for a evening walk together, but for now I am just going to get some rays.
My hormones must be off or something. I am usually not so blue!
Just seems like everyone "has left the building" for now and here I am by myself once again.

You're not alone. Cheer up, Toasty! There will be other opportunites for the beach since you live somewhat close to Florida. In the meantime, enjoy having some space to yourself. Play your favorite music and take a bath. Do jumping jacks. Post like a madwoman to catch up with Shelley.

I'll be thinking of you! :D

Not jumping jacks!! DO PLIE JACKS.}(

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA - nobody will catch up to me, NOBODY I TELL YOU!!!!

Ummm... well, except those people who are already past me.

Awwwwwwwwwww, Charlotte, I feel for you. But like Luna says, you should take this time and make it all yours! Do stuff you like to do but don't usually get a chance to because they're all clamouring for your attention.:)

>Not jumping jacks!! DO PLIE JACKS.}(

Oh dear, that is not a way to cheer ANYONE up! (This morning I specifically did IMAX3, blasts 6-10 because I wanted to avoid the plie jacks. Hee hee!)

Charlotte, cheer up girl! Just think, you've got all this time for yourself. Like Shelley said, you can do whatever you want - all those things you can't normally do. And we're all here to entertain you, should you need further cheering. :D

I agree with the others, Charlotte. I get down too, when it seems I'm alone but then I remember I can do ANYTHING I WANT NOW AND NO ONE'S GOING TO BUG ME!!! Take a long bath/shower, go shopping, go get a manicure/pedicure, or curl up in the sun and read a book!

Forgot trying to catch up with Limecat - it can't be done!! :p

That's right, being alone doesn't mean you have to be lonely! Do something for yourself. Settle into a bubble bath w/a glass of wine & a paperback. Give yourself a facial. Or just kick back & do nothing!

See I love being alone. I want to plan the time I spend w/my loved ones, rather than the time I spend apart from them. Complete opposite lifestyles I suppose. In any case, I'm an expert at it so let me know if you need some more ideas. :)

I live alone. My son is grown and on his own. I am single..and at almost 46 I may stay that way :) I do like me alone time but get lonely occasionaly. Maybe call a friend and see if they are free today. Or do what I do when lonely go shopping or do an extra workout! Although laying in the sun sounds good too. Plus you have all of us. We can keep ya company here on the forums:)

Hope you feel better!

Terri

Hey, Girlie!
You must be PMSing! Me TOO! Best time for the family to be away. At least for me it is!LOL Oh, I live in Florida, and let me just say it has been raining for 3 days here. So at least you don't have to worry about beautiful beach days. Now relax! Go sit in your beautiful garden and admire what you helped the Lord grow!

Thanks! You guys are so much fun to chat with and I needed every bit of your perking me up...thanks!

Carla,

I have missed you, but I know you have been busy. You know, the beans have just sprouted yesterday as well as the corn and spinach. I am going to get alittle bit of sun today so I don't scare anyone when I get to the pool on Sunday.

Terri,

Your such a dear heart! I am going to be going shopping on Saturday for a new bikini and maybe some more tank/halter tops too. That will perk me up. I just don't know what is wrong with me. I got into my bikini just 30 mins ago and I am so bloated. Weird as my TTOM is suppose to be over with now.
Anyhow, thanks for being there for me.

Maximus, Angie, Shelley, Emily,

I know I shouldn't complain about feeling alone right now. My children will be out of school soon. I love them dearly, but I won't have much time for myself as much. Oh, well. You all are right. So I am baking my buns in the sun for now and eating my chicken salad.

Charlotte~~

It could be worse; you could be following your dog's butt around to see what comes out since the weekend <G> like I've had to do. See now don't you feel better :) Blasted dog ate part of her sleeping bag and we seem to have some intestinal issues and several er vet visits.

You must enjoy the time you have to yourself! I wish I were you right now! I jsut put my screaming toddler down for a nap, my other two kids are bored because vacation just started and their friends aren't home, they can't go to the pool b/c they are still burned from yesterday so they are in my face "mommy, mommy, mommy......can I have this, can I do that, I am so bored..." and are also fighting with each other and I have to go to the grociery store today. (gasp for air). I wish I were you. ;(

Colleen,

Oh, I did get to see what came out of my dogs butt this morning. I was mortified to see she dumped on the hardwood floor in the diningroom. Honestly, I don't know why she is doing this on ocassion. She knows where the dumping ground is (outside..suppose to be). I should be grateful it wasn't on the carpeting. Dumping on the carpet always just makes me so irritated.

Missy,

I know, it is going to be that way for me too, but luckily my children are older and instead of "mommy, mommy, mommy". It will be more like they are the parents and I have to constantly remind them they are not. They would take over if I would let them as they have all the answers and I am just old and I have no idea what they are ever talking about...teenagers, oh my!

Enjoy your time alone, do the things that you can't do when he is around, like talking to your friends, reading, playing, have lunch with someone that you haven't seen in a long time, etc... girl's night out...

The great thing about this is that when he gets back, you can tell each other how much you missed each other and catch up..........

Charlotte ~ Just saw this thread. i hope you are all cheered up by now and enjoying your quiet time. I'll switch with you! Hey, we're supposed to go and see Amityville (sp?) together!;-) Isn't that the one you mentioned in the other thread? Did you find a good book to read. Jes started a thread about books, maybe you could read one of the many wonderful books listed there. I know I jotted down a few.

Missy ~ I know where you're coming from...my son finished preschool last week and he and my other son (2 yr old) were fighting anytime we had some down time today. I was thinking to myself, boy this could be a long summer. I think next week is when I'll hear that they're bored. My dd's last day is tomorrow. Next week should be interesting as we all adjust.

See Charlotte, you could be in our shoes?!:)

Seriously, I hope you're feeling better.
