Oh c'mon, somebody's GOTTA mention Tiger!

OK, it's either this or the health care bill! ;)

So far the count is up to 9 mistresses, but even I don't beleive that. Supposedly 3 are confirmed. How could he possibly think this stuff wouldn't come out? It ALWAYS does. And he's not exactly cavorting with rocket scientists either.

The minute I heard about the car wreck at 2am and his wife brandishing a golf club, I figured he had been caught fooling around. My husband said "no, I can't belieive he'd do that, he's a good guy" and now he's just really disappointed in him.

What is it with these men that bother getting married only to fool around the second the ink on the marriage license is dry? Sheesh.

I rather talk about the health care bill than Tiger Wood's affairs.

I am kind of surprised about his "transgressions" but I think it's no one else's business than his and his wife. I feel really bad for his wife though, it's bad enough that your husband is a philandering jerk but to have this dragged through not only the tabloids but also other media must be pretty tough.

And now people are all over her that she is only after the money because the prenup gets modified and she get $ 5 Mio right away. I say good for her, I would get the last penny out of that son of a gun. Aside from the fact that $ 5 Mio is only chump change for him.

Carola is right of course.....and afterall, you can take the Tiger out of the Woods, but you can't take the woody out of the tiger!yukyuk...sorry, hospital poor taste humor.

I kind of disagree that his behavior isn't anyone's business. Since I buy Nike, Wheaties, etc., I pay his salary. Once a person enters the public arena and starts collecting my money from their sponsorships, etc., their lives become public. Also, the fact that he billed himself as squeaky clean and a role model doesn't help. I absolutely feel bad for the wife. Does it excuse her (allegedly) knocking him around? Probably not. However, I can say, I would have probably done at least that!

LOL!

I thought there was more to the story than just a little accident...and wasn't the slightest bit surprised to find out he was cheating...but shocked at how many he was cheating with. But really...I don't care.

I have to agree that he is a role model but then again, he is human.

For me, I buy products because I love them, not because of the people that indorse them because people have been known to let me down. People that I've put in high regard...not so famous, but no the less important.

People have done far worse than brandish a nine iron. Didn't some doctors wife run over her cheating husband..(had doctor here, which is why the edit) with a car a few years ago... Does it make these actions right...hell no.

When someone cheats, you have 2 choices...move on with the person or move on without the person. I'm a firm believer in once a cheater always a cheater...but if you really do love someone, then maybe it's worth the effort to work on it.

However, if it's true that Tiger has cheated on his wife with may women....well...all I can say is if it were me...I'd sue him for divorce and take what I could for my children and myself and make a new life. No amount of money could keep me in a marriage where I was made to look a fool.

Said my piece...I'm running for the hills...smile.

In a word - PUTZ!

I hope she takes him for 300 mil . . . .

And I now am buying Powerade for my son - not Gatorade. His request.

You can protest through your wallet!

Let's not take things out of proportion. It's not that he has displayed criminal behavior. He has cheated on his wife. In a society with a divorce rate of 50 % and people cheating on their spouses left and right I find the outrage hypocritical. No company will lay off their employee because (s)he cheated on his/her spouse (nor should they), nor should they. It is a private matter and has nothing to do with job performance IMO.

I think cheating on your spouse is a personal shortcoming and even though I buy Nike and other stuff (I don't even know what he endorses) I don't think it is my business what is going on between him and his wife. Whereas I don't condone cheating and I think it is dishonest it doesn't necessarily make a serial philanderer a bad person otherwise. That being said, people do make mistakes and it is up to him and his wife to see if they can work things out. In the interest of the children I wish people would stay out of this.

That being said, I never buy stuff because some sports great or celebrity endorses it.

My kids don't drink Powerade nor Gatorade, they drink water, tea and fresh apple juice with water after sports. :p;) I don't think they even know who Tiger Woods is.

I think when people screw up big time, a bit of public humiliation is a good thing. It might make people think a bit more before before they do things. Tiger doesn't deserve a pass on this one.

Maybe if he had given one tiny bit of thought to the circus that he would stir up he would have kept it in his pants where it belonged. Thinking of his family didn't keep him in line, maybe what other people thought of him would.

You can say what you want of the tabloids, but at least now his wife knows. Can you imagine what he has exposed her to, health-wise, sleeping with all those women?? Ick.

Here's the thing.......that tank he drives was hardly squashed...and if say...ok, Carola ran out chasing her husband and bonked him on the head with a golf club(hey, that's an idea!), it would've made Fox News ...because its funny in a sad way and every woman would cheer her on.....it happens in TIGERs house, he's a bazillionaire, and its even more amusing - of COURSE its awful.....feel HORRIBLE for her...but she'll be FINE.....she won't be working 3 jobs or going without healthcare and education for her kids....so, big deal if we smirck here and there!

Hey, who says I didn't

My husband is irritated by the double standard. It would have been a different report had Tiger hit his wife.

True! Violence is never okay, no matter if a man or a woman.

I don't think she bonked him over the head though, did she? I thought she attacked the car.

I thought the SNL skit was hilarious, I saw it last night and almost peed my pants.

As someone who has been dealing with a cheating/dishonest soon-to-be ex-husband I can understand that she lost it. It doesn't make it right though.

I just had to deal with it privately and I still saw the effects it had on my kids. To imagine having to have this hashed out in public just makes my heart break for those kids and his wife.

Reports say they were in a heated argument and she attacked him, scratching his face. Tiger left and she chased after him with a golf club.
Apparently, Tiger would not talk to the police after the incident for fear they would arrest Elin for domestic violence.

I don't know! Maybe he didn't talk to police because he didn't want to incriminate himself. I am not buying that he doesn't talk to police to protect his wife. He didn't show much respect and consideration for her by running around with other women.

I agree Carola.
Hey, I laughed when I heard she chased him with a golf club.
My husband has a point though. I would have been outraged if they reported Tiger chased his wife with a golf club.
I think Tiger is a jerk for what he did, but no matter what, it doesn't excuse his wife's behavior.
I feel sorry for the children.

Maybe Tiger/Cheatah didn't want to talk about the mix of Ambien & Vicodin he'd taken before he went for his drive?

He's a skank and if he's being paid to endorse products that I use, I'm paying part of his salary. One of his kids is 2 yo and the other is a few months old. I don't think they know what's going on.

ITA w/ the above poster about what STDs and other diseases he likely exposed his wife to & possibly his kids (during pregnancy & breast feeding). He's putting her LIFE in jeopardy by following his own Nike slogan: JUST DO THEM!

His whining about having no privacy and how he can't live a normal life? Stop hanging out in clubs and casinos if you want more privacy. Get a divorce if you want to sleep w/ every clubber & food server from Florida to LA. Total dirtball!

So true!
How could he possibly think no one would ever find out?

Maybe they don't know what's going on now but in the age of Internet they will eventually know every glorious detail.

I agree that anyone who wants to sleep around or is not willing to stay in an exclusive relationship should say so and get a divorce or not get married in the first place. I know there are people who can work out infidelity but I would think it is very hard and it maybe 10-fold as hard under the public spotlight.

That being said, if anyone does not want to buy products he endorses because he is a philander, I think it is their choice to do so. But I also think that - unless criminal conduct is involved - the personal life should be off-limits. No one out in America's work force is getting fired because of cheating on their spouse and I don't think it should be any different for politicians, sports greats and the likes. It has nothing to do with their sports or job performance. After all they weren't hired to endorse perfect family life but they got the job because of sports or job performance.
