I thought for comparison purposes it will be good for us to have one thread to revisit in 12 weeks when we are making our determinations as to who are the challenge "winners."

Thus, on this thread, please post the following, and please post here only one time. That means, no chatting here, girls!!! :) Use the other thread for that.

Post...

- Three (or so) *concrete* goals - rather than saying, I want to lose weight, indicate how much or the degree of difference you'd like to make to you body composition)

- Your current stats (only if you're comfortable doing this - if not, perhaps you can email your stats to Lori, our official threadkeeper)

- How YOU will know you've met your goal (i.e., if you're looking for endurance or strength gains, how will you measure that?)

I'll be posting mine shortly. Very interested in reading what you all hope to accomplish!

12-Week Challenge Goals!!!

Challengers:

I would love to join this 12-week challenge. After reading Cathe’s exciting news tonight, I am fired up and more determined than ever to blast off the rest of this stubborn fat.

I am 5'3" and currently weigh 185 pounds (down from my top weight of 260 pounds). My ultimate goal is 130 pounds. My body fat as determined by a personal trainer friend using skin fold calipers is 35 percent (down from 50 percent). My ultimate goal is 22-25 percent. I currently wear a size large top (down from a size 3X top) and size 14 jeans (down from size 28 jeans). Both are very snug. My ultimate goal is a size small top and petite size 8 jeans.

I officially started my new rotation on Easter Sunday. I will be completing my 12-week journey around the 4th of July. My 12-week challenge goals are:

Weight: 160 pounds (-25 pounds during the challenge for a total of -100 pounds)
Body Fat: 28 percent (-7 percent during the challenge for a total of -22 percent)
Size: size medium top and size 10 petite jeans (-1 top size and -2 jeans sizes during the challenge)

I would love to be able to do my first pike on my stability ball but may need to get closer to my ultimate goal weight first. I will keep trying though! I would also love to get through all the planks in CTX Kickbox without modifying or resting. My other fitness goal is to make it through the whole minute of dips in Boot Camp without resting. I will consider myself a success if I reach my weight and size goals by the 4th of July because I will still be 30 pounds overweight and may need to get to my goal weight before these fitness dreams become reality. The extra weight makes pikes, planks, and dips much more challenging!

My personal measurements are recorded in my personal journal. I will share pictures and measurements on the 4th of July.

RE: 12-Week Challenge Goals!!!

I really want to participate - I had a challenge of my own but this will better!

Goals:
Lose 10/15 lbs
Bring BF down to about 18%
Be comfortable in my size 4s again
Better Legs - good definition, no jiggle in upper thigh area

Ok stats -- this is hard, they haven't been this bad in a long time...I must say that I need this, I quit smoking during the holiday season and have had a gradual 15 lb weight gain, I am beginning to grow out of my clothes and will try anything. I know how to do it, I just need to do it and this could not have come at a better time

Hi. I'm lovin' the idea of this challenge! I don't actually have weight to lose, but I definately have love handles and saddle bags to deal with. I carry my excess fat around my middle and I want to make some real progress in that area. If anything some day I'd like to weight more but be one tight package! :)

Goals:
1. BF down to 14%
2. Lose an inch off given measurements!
3. Go down atleast 1 size
4. Get my waist to hip ratio down out of "risk" status

Current Stats:
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 127.6lb
BF% according to Accumeasure: 16.28% (average of 10 readings)
Lean muscle mass: 106.8lb
Fat mass: 20.77lb
waist at belly button: 29.5
hips at hipbone: 34.5
thigh at saddlebags: 22 1/8 x(
waist to hip ratio: 0.85 (women should be .80 or less)

I have yet to get my measurements done, hopefully today I'll get my SIL to do it. But, here's what I know already:

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 191.2
Size: 14/16

My goals are as follows:
* Lose 50 pounds
* Train successfully for another 1/2 marathon (I say that because last time I tried I was not doing it the right way, made some stupid decisions so I had to quit training)
* Get into my favorite size 8 jeans
* Stay true to Weight Watchers because I know that works for me. I'm going to read up on the BFL, though, many of you speak very highly of that one, too.

I know that in 12 weeks I won't be able to do ALL of these, but these are my long term goals and the challenge will get me on my way for sure.

Great goals, ladies! LOVE IT!

I've been working on mine for a few days now and I think I've got them all together!

First, my measurements:(keeping in mind this was after a week's binge)
Weight: 145 lbs
Height: 5' 5"
Bust with bra: 37"
Chest with bra: 36.5"
Waist: 32.5"
Hips: 35"
Bicep: 12"
Thigh: 23.5" (YUCKO!!!!!!)
Calf: 15.5"
Size Jeans: 6 snuggly

Second, my goals for the 12 Week Challenge:
***130 lbs
***size 4 comfortably, including my favorite pair of capris
***55 push ups from toes without stopping (31 so far)
***tone biceps and triceps
***tone core
***cholesterol 175 or lower (was 190 as of 03/11/06, up from 175)
***PUB or Gym Style chest work to 25 pounders (now at 20 tops)
***PLB squats and lunges to 50 pound (now at 40 tops)
***NOTICABLE difference from my before pictures
***Choose my second marathon that I want to train for (can't decide yet)

I think that's all of them. I've got to print these off for my fridge, bathroom mirror, closet, pantry, etc!

Okay, here are my stats and they are all as of the morning after I decided to take this challenge:

Weight: 131.5# (For those of you who recall me stating I weighed in the 120's, that was with an older scale. I recently purchased a digital to get more accurate accounting of losses and it weighs me heavier unfortunately but I'm sure it's more accurate as well!x( )

Body Fat: 21.95% (According to my Omron. The # was arrived at using Athlete mode and via this formula as per a forum member who said this is the more accurate than just a strict female reading on the omron: female # + male #= x and then x/2-1=measurement.)

Chest: 34
Waist: 29
Hips : 36.25
R Thigh: 21.5
L Thigh: 21

As far as what size pants I am in??? My goodness...I have things from size 3 up to size 9 that I wear. At this point the 9's are rather loose on me but still wearable...if I had to put a solid # on it I'd say I'm a size 7 currently...

Goals:

*Lose 1 to 2 inches off waist
*Lose 1-1.5 inches off thighs
*Lower body fat to 19%

My ultimate ultimate ultimate goal which I can't put any kind of NUMBER on is to lose more of the fat in my midsection so that I have more toned looking abs. I definately have the muscle and you can just barely see some definition now if I flex my abs but I want to see MORE! :+ :+ :+

Ok here it goes. I am officaily ticked at myself for letting my weight go up 5lbs. Since Christmas and Easter I have been fighting it and I'm losing. Not anymore. I'm in it for the long haul.

Goals. Lose 8-10lbs of fat while increasing lean body mass. Right now I have 124.9 LBM and 25 lbs of Fat. I do have a meso endo type body.

Reduce bf to 14.5% which is where it was prior to Christmas. That is so hard to know it was where I flet my best and I let it all slip away. I have always continued to workout but like eveyone says it's 85% food. I'm living proof.

Drink 8-10 glasses of water

Reduce hips by 1 inch an Waist by 1 1/2 inches

Reduce thighs by 1 inch

Increase my runs form 60 min for 5 miles to 75 min 7 miles.

Ok...good idea. I needed to think about this for a day and now I think I have decided what my goals are.:)

* I would like to lose 10 lbs...my goal weight being 120 lbs.
* Would like to lose atleast a inch in the thigh area,a inch in the hips,arms slimmer and waist 2 inches smaller.
* Calves..won't go the;) re
* To keep picking at food at bay.Hopefully the new eating pattern will become a habit and I can continue it even after the 12 weeks are up.
* More arm definition.

I will know when I met my goal when I look in the mirror and really like what I see.I am not one of those people who reaches a goal and then still isn't happy.I am satisfied when I know I have met what I set out to accomplish!
Oh...I also have a wedding to stand for at the end of June so and I was not ordering it in a size 8! LOL I took a 6 last at last yrs wedding so I ordered this one in the same size...so...I HAVE TO FIT INTO THIS DRESS!

OK, here are my stats. Can't believe that I'm posting them but I think if I have them out here for everyone to see, I"ll be more accountable and be able to stick to this and give it my all.

My goals are as follows:
*to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 164 (long term goal to get to 150)
*to be able to fit in all my pre-pregnancy clothes which were size 8 bottoms and size M shirts
*reduce the size of my lower body. I am starting Cathe's April rotation today.
*in addition to the April rotation, I would like to add in some extra cardio to get rid of this FAT.
*drink at least 100oz of water a day and no more then 2 diet Pepsi's a day. I am truly addicted to diet soda and currently drink at least 6 a day.
*would like to replace my morning coffees w/a protein shake
*no sweets except for my cheat meal if needed
*no binging on the weekends
* and last but not least, stick to WW 100%. I lost 30lbs in 4 months after my first son doing WW so I know that it works for me!

My goodness I've given myself a lot of rules! LOL

1. Lose inches in my abs and hips - 5 total would be nice

2. Get the sugar out of my diet
3. Get back to basics with my workouts: weights days and cardio days alternated; active rest days will be yoga/pilates
