Not in such great shape check-in? Anyone interested?

I am still working on the beginner rotation. I can't really say which workout I like best yet, I am so out of shape. I really like Cathe. I was hooked when I saw her on Fit tv. I have quite a bit of weight to lose and look forward to checking in with you guys. :D

Sorry haven't been on. My oldest is really sick. Turns out he has fluid in his ear, start of fluid in his lungs, and strep on top of the bronchitis we were already fighting. So the poor guy is miserable! The doc put him on a strong antibiotic and we are all praying this doesn't turn into pneumonia. He was premature, and has had pneumonia before, so standard ops would be to hospitalize him if he gets it.

I'm going to try to get some yoga in tonight to calm my mind and spirits after I get the boys to sleep tonight.

Liberty, so sorry to hear about your son. I wish him all the best in getting better and not having to be hospitalized.

Lovetocamp, so how long is the beginner rotation and do you have plans for what to do after that?

Did you guys see that I started a new post so we can do a weekly check-in? It's called not in great shape, but getting there.

I'm interested in being part of this forum too. I'm new to Cathe workouts, but have been doing Wii Personal Fitness Coach and Wii Active for the last year. I'm finding Cathe workouts are a big, but wonderful, jump. A LONG time ago, I used to be a personal trainer. Now my weight training tends to be on the advanced side, but I've never much liked cardio and, therefore, I don't have very good cardio capacity. I want to change that! I find I like the circuit workouts and kick, punch, crunch better than other aerobics workouts b/c they are easier to follow. I also have to watch my knees, they've never been very good and with age and weight have only gotten worse. My New Year's resolution is to drop 10 lbs, so far I've lost three. I also want to improve my cardio, core strength, and overall health.

I'm 43, work part time and am a full time graduate student. My workouts tend to drop off when I get busy at the end of each semester and when I travel. I try to workout six days a week, but usually only manage to do five workouts.

I hope to get in better shape with you all!

Welcome to our group! Good luck with increasing your cardio capacity. I'm trying to do that too. I've been incorporating interval work to hopefully achieve that. You should look into Cathe's Travel Fit for when you travel. It's a fun workout and I think it would be great for traveling. Do you do Cathe's workouts for your weight workouts?

We've started a weekly check-in, that's where we'll be postingn now. It's called Not in great shape, but getting there. We'll start a new post every Saturday.

I would like to join in with you all. I, too, fell off the wagon and find myself with slothy cardio capacity (not to mention mushy muscles).

Yes, I've been eyeing Travel Fit, but it's not downloadable yet. They say it will be in April. I might wait till then so I can carry it on my iPhone when I travel.

I love doing Cathe workouts for both weights and cardio. This morning I did Slow & Heavy biceps & triceps. I was going to do upper body pyramid, but after shoveling in the blizzard--I live in Maryland, lol--I decided to just work the parts that didn't already take a hit. Yesterday I did drill max which I love, love, love :) .

How about you, what are your favorites? Also, how do you get that neat little weight progress icon at the bottom of your relpies?
 
Amy, thanks! Will try to find it! LOL My son is doing so much better now, he gets to go back to school today. The doc sees him after school. Also have a second date with the guy I went out with last week on Saturday night. :) He mentioned he wants to see The Lovely Bones, and I've been wanting to see it also, so we are going to dinner then to see it. Should be fun!

Y'all that are getting the downloads, are you using them on your Ipod? I can't quite figure out how to get them onto it. Haven't had a lot of time to play with it to get it figured out. But I will need it on there Saturday, going to see a client and keep telling her about Cathe, and she's hoping to get to see it. So any help would be appreciated!

So were you stuck at home because of the snow? I heard on the news that people weren't allowed to drive? I'm sure you got a good workout shoveling all that snow!

My favorite workouts are 4DS, MMA Fusion, Low impact circuit and muscle max. I also love the bicep section of pyramid upper body. I really, really want STS strength, but if I'm going to try to get pregnant this spring I probably won't have time to finish a rotation. I still plan to workout while pregnant, but I don't think I want to lift heavy weights, so I guess I probably won't buy it for now. :(

To get the weight loss ticker, go to the home page and at the top it says Cathe fun. Click on that and it will take you right to the tickers.
