Not happy-Fit Tv Interuptions

Cathe,
I am currently with Cablevision in the CT area and have fit tv. Lately I have not been able to see some of your programs due to local access cable interuptions. The first time this happened I thought that maybe the channel I was getting was just a preview, as Cablevision does that at times to advertise some stations. But then it went back to Fit Tv again. When it happened again I had called the cable company and they told me that the format they are showing for Fit Tv that day is for Local cable access interuption. Can they do this? I dont think its right. ITs one thing if its late at night and early morning when most are asleep like 2 or 3 am during the week and on the weekends, and maybe some Sundays. But at 6 and 7 in the morning on a Monday? This moring I left at 7 and it still wasnt on. This upsets me. This is a big time for people to work out. And why Fit TV? All the other 500 digital cable channels they have to use Fit TV. Is there anything to do to stop this? Am I the only area this is happening to??

Luckily I don't have that problem. My complaint with Fit TV is the editing. Legs and Glutes is on today. They totally left out the warmup and started the workout with leg press. They have terrible editing.

Im not even sure if that stupid local programing was still on at 9. I wanted to record the legs and glutes today. But I set my VCR anyway. We'll see when I get home.
They do have terrible editing. For instance if there is a circuit program they will edit out most of the leg work, or arm work instead of keeping it the same for both.

I personally think they should remove all commercials during a workout. What a terrible interruption to have! I saw part of Cathe's Step Blast the other day. Would you believe they did a commercial break prior to putting together a portion of the first step routine? What are they thinking???

Well I can remember maybe around 10 years ago when doing an excerise program they always had commercials so they say run or march in place. Why don't you just buy the video and have the whole program and no commercial. I wouldn't think that Cathe would put her whole video on FIT TV then they wouldn't be in business IMHO.

I do own all of Cathe's workouts. My concern is for someone who is maybe a beginner to exercising and doing the workouts without a warmup. I'm sure there are people out there who do not know better and could get hurt.

You know guys, I wish it WAS only a commercial interuption. Try the whole day or weekend of basically nothing! Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against church, but they will have church programs, or a blank screen with local community activies and advertisements, or maybe some local tv station giving the man who lives on the corner an interview about his lawnmower. Just think of your local access channel and the things they play. Well, same stuff except on my Fit TV!

fitTV will always have commercial interruptions and they will not play the whole Cathe workout. What I do is tape them and pause the commercials. The workout comes out to about 35 minutes. I don't tape the warmup and cool down. Just add on to a Sharon Mann or other workout. It's really not that bad. It's better than nothing.

Hi Karen,
I also live in CT and I am frustrated with Cablevision. When I called the girl wanted to send a tech to my house to fix it. I tried to explain it wasn't my TV it was the company. I really enjoyed seeing Cathe on TV.

I know they have to run commercials to pay to have those shows though. I look at it like this.....you can either suffer through the commercials- try the workout and if you really like it-and can get through it then buy the whole thing...it's a great way to try each workout- then when they get less challenging- buy the full length one. That's what I plan on doing. I'm just so happy they have cathe on..I'll jog in place or do some jacks or other things I;ve learned from past Cathe vids until the show returns from commercials
