Good morning all!

Well, it's over. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who participated in this with me. What started out as just a little challenge to myself turned into something much bigger and I can honestly say I don't think I would have got through it without the support of all you ladies who joined me!

So thanks! Right then, I'm off to find the cookies and that box of Dairy Milk bars I put away last month.;)

Good morning to you, Shelley!

Again, thanks for getting that started. Definitely more aware of all those hidden sugars. I was a label reader before, but doing this challenge really made me substitute certain things and stick with it for 30 days!

Cookies, mmm. that sounds good. I'm afraid if I start in I won't stop! LOL!

Good luck with the next challenge.

Shelley~ Thank you for starting this challenge!

And thank you to everyone else who kept me motivated each day to be honest and have some will power. I have lost over 10 pounds this month!! This is due to my better eating, but also because I added running. I have averaged 4 miles a day every day this month.

A big part is the no sweets, though. I told you guys that I ate a lot of junk!! When I cut it out, my body responded amazingly well!! Now I know that I can do it and I will continue to listen to my body and eat well.

Thank you to everyone!

Shelley- thanks for this challenge, for it show me a little more control of not eating sweets. Although I did make a few slipups,it has made me more aware of it. I will continue this only after my vacation next week.

Everyone did a great job!

Shelley - I am so glad you started this challenge. I never thought I could get through it, but here I am today, 9 pounds lighter, headache-free, and lovin' it! I don't have all those cravings I used to have. I am really proud of myself and of ALL of us. I'm definitely not going back to where I was before. :)

Shelle I too want to thankyou for starting this challenge. I had a couple minor slip ups but for the most part did well. I too read labels now and have switched what kind of cereal I eat and the yogurt brand I use to eat. I will still treat myself occasionaly to something yummy but will try to syill watch the sugar intake daily. Enjoy your cookies :) I haven't decided what I am going to splurge on yet.

For those who lost weight-Good for you ! Do something special for yourself today.

Congrats to everyone!

Terri

Mmmmmm.....I just ate two donuts. And I don't feel guilty. Enjoyed every bite! Cuz I know that's all I'm going to have - I'm completely satisfied!

Thank you for the challenge, Shelley! It really opened my eyes to just how much temptation I face every day. I really plan to continue it. After all, it's like they say: "Two minutes on the lips, forever on the hips."

Congratulations, everyone! We did a fantastic job of supporting each other! :7

I just want to say thanks to all the ladies that did the challenge. I know that when I looked at the sweets and thought to myself, "I'm going to have to confess if I eat the thing", it made me turn away instead of indulge. So this challenge has taught me that I can resist.;)

Thanks to Shelley for getting this challenge started and to all the supporters who helped make this challenge a successful one. I did have a few slip ups as well, but I am definitely more aware of what I am eating now. I plan to keep this up as best as I can. Once the initial sugar withdrawal is over, and you realize how much better you feel it's really not that hard to stick with.

Yeha! we did it! i'm proud of all of us for sticking with it! i only cheated one time so i think i did pretty well! thanks shelley for starting this!

I agree with everyone. Thank you for starting a great challenge. But it's not over for me. Having a father with type-II diabetes and having grandparents from both sides that died with diabetes, I have to continue this challenge on my own. 50g or less of sugar daily for a lifetime.

There should be a "Just kidding" at the end of your post, Shelley. Where's the just kidding? Don't let's go from restraint to binging. Oh, please nooooooo!

I may have to boycott Trader Joe's because of the caged chicken issue the Humane Society emailed me about. No more chocolate for moi unless they free the chickens! Happy July First. *Sob*

Thanks Shelly! Your's was the first challenge I took & I'm glad I did for the same reasons all the others have mentioned. You are a born leader - inspirational!
I may have slipped a few times, but cought myself. I only ate half the Klondike bar for lunch today & won't be having but one sweet per day (one per week is just too limiting :)) & it will contain dark chocolate, no partially hydrogenated oils, no high fructose corn syrup, & be worth every calorie & fat gram.

Thanks, Shelley, for starting this challenge. I only slipped a couple of times and felt awful after eating a piece of chocolate. I lost some weight and inches as a result of omitting the sugar. I also have a ton of energy, too! I'm going to continue with the no sugar challenge until the Road Trip.

I only slipped one day I believe. I had a donut and an iced cofee drink from dunkin donuts  It wasn't worth it. Oh well.

And today.. i am ALLOWED to have hot fresh home made chewy gooey chocolate chip cookies... and i don't even want them. how is this possible? I've turned into some sort of monster! :p

Congrats ladies!

It's because Shelley is a magical creature and she has taken away sweets power over us! Also, it's going to be 110 today so baking sounds terrible but a caramel frappicino does not. And they've built 73 Starbucks in a 10 mile radius of my house. But if I don't get off the computer and clean, my husband will be so mad, I dare not venture out into the heat.

Hey Bobbi, I love starbucks and you just made me remember they have a decaf carmael frappacino light! Thanks :)

Terri

Of course! Give them a look (appalled or sickened) if they offer whipped cream. No whipped cream and easy on the caramel sauce, please. I'm controlling my intake of sweetness, thank you very much!
