New to the Forum - Hi!

My first post and I wanted to say hi to everyone. I joined the boards about a month ago and i try to read some of the threads off and on. What I like most is how everyone is very motivating and knowledgeable, and especially how Cathe interacts with everyone too -- very cool!

My Cathe collection is small (STS Total Body, High Reps, After Burn, Crossfire, LIS Trisets, and Lower Body Blast) but I love them. I've previously used the Firm, P90X, and Les Mills Pump but I think my body just got used to those workouts and wasn't producing results the way I wanted. Plus, I have hypothyroidism so it's harder for my body to burn fat. I needed something fresh! I started using After Burn and Crossfire over the last few weeks and I can enthusiastically say that not only have those two workouts made my body cry in agony (in a good way!!!) but they also enabled me to drop inches little by little in my waist, lower belly, and hips. When I say little by little, I mean about a quarter inch to a half inch each week. That's not bad considering the short amount of time I've owned those two! Both of those workouts pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of doing and I have so much fun while doing them. It feels good to walk away feeling like a superhero when the workout is over! And dare I say, those two workouts are a lot harder than anything in P90X, at least to me.

I am so impressed with Cathe's workouts that I already pre-ordered X-Train. I plan to add more dvds to my collection over the next few months and will probably pick a few from the Shock Cardio series next.

Cheers! -Jen

Hello and Welcome! I too am a huge fan of Cathe's. Between Cathe and cardio I have successful lost 57.6 pds!!! And loving every minute! I absolutely love Cathe. I started out last November with her LIS series. I was so hooked now I own all of her DVD's and have pre ordered Xtrain. I can't wait for it to come out. But, till then I am very busy with my Cathe collection. I have enough to keep me busy!!! :D I always look forward to my workouts with Cathe.

If you are going to purchase more....let me recommend a few.

1. Butts and Gutts
2. High Step Training
3. Cardio Supersets

And, of course STS!!!!

Good luck on your journey. You are in the right place to succeed. Everyone here on the forum is very nice and full of knowledge!!! :)

Welcome, Jen! Cathe is definitely in a league of her own! ;) Great job on your success! If I can butt in just to say that the Shock Cardio series is definitely "lighter" cardio, in my opinion. I do it on days that I don't have the energy to work quite as hard or as long. Go to the Shop Cathe site & preview the videos. You might also go to the search tab & type in the name of a particular video that catches your eye, or Shock Cardio & see what posts & reviews pop up for you.

Welcome! Cathe is absolutely amazing! Her sales are fantastic too! By the way, your local library may carry a selection of Cathe DVDs so that you can try a workout first before purchasing one. E-bay is also a great source for DVDs if you don't mind used ones. Either way, you will find that Cathe is not only an amazing fitness instructor but an amazing person as well. She takes the time to answer questions on the forums and via Facebook all the time which puts her in a league of her own.

Thank you all so much for the encouragement! I like the workout suggestions and it's a huge help in pointing me in the right direction.

I shied away from step aerobics for so long because I lack confidence in my ability to be coordinated enough to master Cathe's step moves. Doesn't mean I won't try them moving forward! Cardio Supersets is on my wish list too in addition to Circuit Blast, Cardio Core Circuit, HiiT, and Intensity.

I have the sneaking suspicion I'll acquire a ton of her dvd's in a small amount of time...! ;)

Welcome Septembergirl! I think you have some great DVDs on your wish list! Cardio Core Circuit and HiiT are two of my very favorites! In my opinion, both are at the level of intensity of Crossfire and Afterburn, but different at the same time. HiiT is great because the workouts are 30 minutes start to finish and some days that's all you have. The bottom line, though, is that all of Cathe's workouts are great and there are many to choose from. :)

Welcome, Jen! Your dog is adorable.

Very glad to hear about your quick results! Congratulations.

One of my go-to workouts is Intensity and the HiiT which I see is on your wish list:)
Aw heck, all Cathe's stuff rocks, It's hard to pick just a few!

See you on the forum.

Welcome Jen!
I agree that all the ones on your wish list are great, plus the ones Missy suggested too! I also love her other new one To the Max and Athletic Training is wonderful too! For something lighter and different Travel Fit is also nice too as it has some creative band work in it. Cathe is the best! You really can't go wrong!:D

Jen,

Welcome and congrats on finding Cathe! Her collection is pure gold :). If anyone can help blast inches and calories, she's the one

If I can suggest a few others...

-Turbo Barre from the Low Impact Series is a personal fav of mine :D

-An oldie but a goodie, Muscle Max

-Kick, Punch & Crunch. The BEST kickboxing workout IMO

Gook luck,

Natasha

Hi Jenn! I see you've been bitten by the Cathe Bug! :p I'd suggest DVD's but I'd end up listing them all! :D WELCOME...nice to see you here!
