Hi! I have just purchased the new STS total body and would like to hybrid it with my current interval HIIT workouts. Could anyone tell me how I would do it? Just do the STS 3 days a week and fit the HIIT workouts in between? Would anyone be willing to share their results with this dvd? Thanks so much...new to the forum!:D

Hi ! Yes, I'd just alternate STS with cardio - STS-Cardio-STS-Cardio...so on... my first round of STS I achieved pretty amazing results (people - even strangers - regularly asking what I was doing i.e.) despite -

a. skimping on the 1RM testing (doing that pretty diligently this 2nd time)
b. being so excited about weights I added more weight days (oops) and didn't balance as much with cardio - alternating days (as above) always gets better results for me personally
c. only finishing 10 weeks of program due to newly hypothyroid diagnosis at the time  (talk about motivation buster )

I know following the program as prescribed produces incredible results.
Good luck!

Doh ! Sorry... just realized you said 'total body' - the alternating weights-cardio-weights-cardio theory still applies though if it were me, I'd incorporate something like the new High Reps total body (awesome!!) and alternate it with STS TB - likely the program I'll follow when I next finish full STS program. As your DVD library grows (or if you already have one!) you can mix it up to maximize muscle confusion by alternating the total body weight workouts regularly. If you're working with just STS TB then I would personally alternate between different premixes each "weight" day in between cardio days. Enjoy!

Chammer, I didn't notice the OP said STS "Total Body" either until your second post! So yes, Kstrauser, if you have STS Total Body and you do Hiit workouts, I'd do the STS dvd two or three days a week, and Hiit cardio three times a week.

If you want to confuse your muscles more and get better results, you could do STS Total Body once a week, and do a different total body workout on the other strength training day(s). But you didn't mention if you have other dvd's, and it's not necessary to have more if you don't. Besides, STS TB has good premixes with a variety of exercises that don't appear in every premix, which helps with muscle confusion. Basically I'm just repeating what Chammer said, hee hee.
