I am new to cathe's workout. I just started doing the basic step and high step for beginner/int this week. I feel like really clumsy. Will it better? Does Cathe workout consist of the things she does on the various tapes. I can't stand gyms, so I really want to workout at home.

Hi Annette welcome!

Soon you will become hooked }( on Cathe. No worries it will become easier. When I started on the fittness trail I watched Cathe in awe and thought no way would I ever ba able to do that or keep up :). I'm now a year out with Cathe and can honestly say I DO have Rhythm, I seriously thought I didn't :p . I still trip over my feet and wind up on the wrong side of the step but I'm having fun and I can Mambo :7 . So welcome!

Hmmmm my gremmies aren't working?

HI Annette. I agree with Rebecca. It does take time but you'll get it if you are persistent. I just did the new Low Max for the first time yesterday, and had to rewind a lot to get the steps down. It's worth the effort, though; you'll soon be hooked!

Annette,
Keep it up. You just have to keep at it. Each time it will get easier. Make sure you allow your body time to recoup. I personally have never been to a gym. You will make so many gains starting out. It is later that you will hit the plateaus and need to change your workouts.

From one Annette to another:

Hi, Annette! Yes, it will get better. I am the Ranking Klutz of the Cathe Forums, and I've been able to master many of her step, floor and kickbox routines. That is the beauty of workout DVDs in general: you can practice them over and over in the privacy of your own home until you get it right.

If you have Cathe you don't really need a gym. You've picked the perfect duo to start off with. Practice those, and consider for your next purchases her new release "Low Max", and some of her dedicated strength DVD's like Muscle Max (also new), Pyramid Upper / Lower Body, etc.

Welcome to Da Gang!

Hi Annette and Welcome! Like the others said, keep at it and each time it will get easier!

I love working out at home and have for many years as have many others here. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want!

Glad to have you here! :) :)
