New to Cathe

Hi everyone - I am new to this forum so bear with me. I have done the Firm tapes for about 10-12 years now and am looking for some new tapes to add to my collection - what would be a good starter set for me? I am 44 and need to lose about 20-25 lbs (have lost 35 so far). I can't do a lot of jumping (my mind tells me I am 25 but my knees remind me I am almost 45) but don't have problem with step aerobics. I currently work out six days a week alternating between walking 3-4 miles and tapes with Friday as my rest day.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated

Hi! I'd suggest Cathe's Get In Shape for Your Wedding Video, the name is kinda hokey, but it's a great intro to Cathe's stepping style because the choreography isnt too tricky and the pace is a tad slower than most of her other step tapes. It also has an intro to strength training. However, I think her other strength tapes are at a much different level than that found in the wedding video. I'd suggest either Maximum Intensity Strength or Power Hour for starter strength training. For a non-step tape with easy to follow choreography I'd recommend Cardio Kicks. Most all of Cathe's tapes require a step ie. for stepping or to be used as a weight bench so a full-size step is a must in my opinion. Also I'd invest in a barbell in addition to dumbells if you dont already have one. Most of her strength tapes can be modified to use only dumbells, except Power Hour in my opinion is much more effective with a barbell. Cathe's tapes are great, you wont be disappointed!

Stacy,

Thanks for the great suggestions. I do already have a barbell but will need a new step because I notice it is different than what I have been using with The Firm tapes.
