new to cathe

I am 46 yr old, about 30 pounds overweight for 4 yrs , prior to turning 42 was very thin without even trying!!
However, middle age has caught up with me....as a beginner exerciser and new to cathe, what "rotation" would you recommend?
I hear the word rotation, and i assume that means a variety of workouts that vary thruout the week.
Thanks.........i'm REALLY tired of being fat.

Hi Sue - Do you already have any Cathe workouts? If you haven't been working out at all recently or if you've never done step aerobics I would suggest you start with Basic Step & Body Fusion.

I'm 44 and have lost over 50 pounds in the last two years. I started my exercise program just walking around the neighborhood, but got into workout videos when the weather turned cold. Since I found Cathe I rarely do any of my other video workouts - you'll love her!

Good luck!

Hi Sue,
Just wanted to jump in and say hi to another Marine Mom! I have one Marine son, Ian. Welcome to the sight. I've been exercising to Cathe's video's for around 4 months, before that I did Walk away the pounds and the Firm. This is a great sight for support and information!

OORAH to all the marine moms!!!
maybe I should go to Parris Island Bootcamp........my son lost 40 pounds in 3 mos.......he's as skinny as a rail now:)(doesn't cathe have a DVD named bootcamp?? hmmmmmmm)

I've yet to make it through boot camp x( Some day though.
Ian is a "hollywood" marine (my DH said that is what they were called in his day...he's a former Marine) as he went to bootcamp in San Diego. He's in Camp LeJeune getting ready to head over to the sandbox. My hats off to you to have two! The next few months will be interesting. I've decided to wipe myself out by doing Cathe workouts. Maybe if I keep myself busy my imagination won't get the better of me.
You'll love basic step and body fusion. I still modify a bit on Cathe's advanced workouts. My knees don't take well to step more than 2x a week, and I modify low impact for high. I'm currently doing a rotation with the pyramid DVD. My Hardcores should be here Monday, and I'm skeerd;-)
