Hi. I'm new to this board & this whole series of tapes/DVDs. I've been doing Firm videos for years and I'm looking for something more intense & this series of tapes looks like it may fit my needs. I think I want to get the Cardio & weights tape & the Abs. I viewed a little of the cardio one. I don't think I saw any leg work on that one? Am I correct? I kind of like the style of the Firm tapes having half upper & half lower body workout on one tape w/weights through out the majority. I'd rather not buy a video for each part of the workout to start with until I know whether or not I'm going to like these.
Can anyone suggest two good tapes to start with. This series looks really great and I can't wait to start.

Cardio & Weights is from the Intensity series. It's a good workout. You do a mini step routine then do a compound weight exercise, using lightweights. There are 6 intervals (I believe). It ends with an excellent ab routine.
Not being familiar with FIRM workouts, I'll try to assist you. Step, Jump, Pump has a step routine with hi/lo and weights. Various db and a 40 pound bb is used for some exercises. With that DVD there are so many Premixes that you can customize what you want to do.
Also, for lighter weights, higher reps, is Muscle Endurance. It’s a total body workout, however there isn't cardio, BUT there is in Bootcamp (both on the same DVD). BC has 8 intervals of cadio, weight and core work.
The new Hardcore series has High Step Challenge, that too is a total body workout including cardio.
You can’t go wrong with any of Cathe's workouts though. I hope I helped some....and not confuse you more!

These sound great! Looking through the postings MM & Core Max look good also. I would say I'm at an intermediate level. I used to do a lot of cardio/treadmill/stairmaster -- didn't really do much for me. The FIRM tapes incorporated weights w/cardio & that changed the shape of my body completely and helped w/the weight. I find that mixing cardio w/weight traing works best for me so I'd like to keep along those lines w/the Cathe tapes.
