New Sale Prices on Cardio Coach!!

I'm really excited about my purchase! Thanks again for the input all. :)

I am training for a 10K next month (and hopefully a 10 miler in the spring) and my long runs are going well. But I am looking for some shorter challenges on my other run days that will increase my speed and tolerance for hills.

And seriously - what a great deal!

Cindi, one of the great things about CC workouts is that they can be customized to suit your needs. If you plan to download your CD's to an mp3 player (highly recommended), then you will have the option of creating your own custom playlists. Sean had the foresight to put every segment on a separate track so you can mix and match to your heart's content -- skip tracks, add tracks -- whatever you want to do. So if you want to get the longer workouts, just know that you can easily omit any part that you don't care to do. Likewise with the shorter workouts -- you can add tracks from another workout to make them longer. :D

CD's vs MP3's

I sent an email over to Sean last night to help me decide between the CD's and the MP3's as my iTunes has crashed multiple times and I have lost everything. Here was his reply to me:

Hi Tonya,
Thank you for your email. I certainly understand your concern. The good news is that if you get the downloads, you’ll always have access to get them again should something happen. That goes for the CDs as well if something should happen to them. Just send me an email and I’ll send you new links.
So, whether you choose the CD version or download, the workouts are always available.
Hope to see you in the workout soon.
Sean O'Malley

It sounds like he will be accommodating to any issue that may arise!

I am so there!!! I need 7,8...are 1 and 2 ( revised) good???
Conni, I use both 1 and 2 revised quite often and I think they're very good, especially when you're short on time but you want an intense workout. Again, working at your own perceived level of exertion, these workouts can be as easy or as difficult as you choose to make them. No Cardio Coach library would be complete without them. :D

Just last week I got Volumes 3, 5, 6, 7, & 8. I wish I would have waited just one more week, but as it stands the extra money spent was well worth it. I have never experienced my elliptical like this and I rushed out to get a very good pair of headphones! Now I guess I will jump on 1, 2, 4 and Pump.

Does anyone have Pump and what do you think about it?

I have Pump and I love it. It's a full body circuit workout that is quick and efficient. It includes 2 sets of each each exercise -- a fast set with 20 reps followed by a slower set with 10 reps. The whole circuit, including the warm-up and stretch, is about 30 or 35 minutes long, so it'd be easy to run through it again if you wanted a longer workout.

I like to make playlists alternating Pump circuits with my favorite cardio challenges. :D

I can't imagine my life now without Cardio Coach and I think Sean is so awesome to do this. Especially since the workouts were already extremely reasonable at full price. I think it's time to post some information about these workouts in the locker room at work, as well as to let everyone I've already told know about the new prices... get those guys off the fence.

Okay, another stupid question here.

What kind of MP3 player would be cheap but good to use for this kind of stuff???

I have a CD player currently, but want to change my formats.

Conni, I have an 8GB iPod Nano. It wasn't cheap but I do love it. I recommend doing a search on mp3 players. Vrinda (Vee) has written several posts about them, outlining the features, pros, and cons of the various brands. HTH :)

i have been thinking about these for quite awhile--- i am not a runner --does that mean i should avoid vol 7 and 8?
I'm not a runner and I LOVE Volumes 7 & 8. I do the workouts on an elliptical and I keep pace with the music. I use a low to moderate resistance setting for the sprints -- whatever it takes to keep my HR in the proper zone. ;)
