New Kids on the Block

Okay all of you, I know most of you used to spend every last penny you had buying everything of New Kids on the Block. I just saw online that they are reunited and have a new record coming out and will be going on tour in select cities. I don't think I'll be jumping on that bandwagon again but it's neat to see where these people are that you used to just go ga-ga over. I still have my New Kids cassette tapes and a VHS tape of them. How lame am I?!!!:+ I just thought this was funny. I had everything you could imagine of them. I can't believe how much money I wasted as a kid on them!!! Here is a link about it and I guess they will be performing on Today Show on May 16. I just want to see if they can still dance!

You should burn them...immediately :D

I just heard about that!!! Yes, I had the cassette tapes, my Mom still has them along w/ my posters, I love Joey t-shirt, and big button of Joey!!! And I saw them in concert when I was in 7th grade....

What a blast from the past!!

Beavs you are too funny!!! I came across them a few months ago when I was going through my memory chest.

Jess, I remember those big huge buttons. You could stand them up like a picture frame or pin them on your clothes. I would actually go around wearing those huge buttons. Oh, how silly we were!

Suuuuureeee....that's what they all say when they are caught red handed kissing a Donnie Wahlburg picture! :7

OMG, I had it bad for Joey! I had the huge 6" button, my entire room was plastered with NKOTB posters, and I also saw them in concert in 7th grade! Ahhhh, the memories. If I listened to one of my old tapes now, I probably wouldn't like it (too teeny-bopperish), but I will be interested to hear what their new stuff sounds like.

Oh, Emily, did you see them at the Civic Center????? If you did, we were at the SAME concert!!!!!! Hilarious!! Yep, I had that huge Joey button and the posters too!! And I'm ashamed but will admit to a Milli-Vanilli poster too!!!!

Oh, we didn't live in Illinois at the time (I'm not a native). Saw them in Norfolk, VA. :) Went with my parents. Yup. My parents took me to the NKOTB concert. *insert emoticon for "LOSER" here* :p

I gave my cassette away years ago as a gag gift in college. Along with my Vanilla Ice cassette and Milli Vanilli (sp?).

Admit it Beavs, you're a closet fan! :)

I was a little *ahem* old to be a fan of NKOTB the first go 'round, but I did catch the Today show this week when they were on. It was kind of funny watching those grown women holding up their NKOTB 'relics' (vintage buttons, tee shirts and the like) and screaming wildly when they were announced.

Now if they brought out the Monkees I would understand all the hoopla...:7

My grandmother (ask we speak) has my old beach towel on the floor connecting the kitchen to the sliding door to the deck... you know.. to walk on so you don't track stuff on the nice carpet :)

<Admit it Beavs, you're a closet fan>
Actually, no. I was more a Slayer, Anthrax, Metallica kinda chick ;) (and they were decidedly not cute)

>Ha Beavs, you got me, except it was a picture of Jordan
>Knight. He was my favorite!!!

Ohhhh, Jordan, he was my fave!!! I had the poster of him shirtless on the back of my bedroom door so I could see it before I went to bed. I was soooooooooo pathetic. I also had all the posters torn out the the teen magazines all over my room. And VHS tapes, and I recorded the episode when they were on Oprah. I probably still have it some where. Welcome to loserville!!

Nan

Too funny! I used to think Cliff Burton was kinda cute (egads!) but I was in the sixth of seventh grade so I have an excuse. HAAAAA!
