Next week our graphics team will begin work on the new Cathe catalog and we would like your input on what you would like to see included. Please respond to this thread with any ideas or suggestions you have. The new catalog will be ready to ship sometime in January. :)

Once again I am impressed that you are asking for our input!:)

I would love to see a listing of the premixes in the workouts along with their lengths.

I've just started utilizing the premixes and find that information
to be helpful in planning a workout for the day as well as setting up my rotations.

Thanks for asking!

Terri

I second the listing of premixes with the actual times of each premix.

Thanks for asking us for our feedback:)

Happy Holidays!!!

A list of what equpiment needed would be great :)

Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice.

Maybe you could also put legends next to certain releases like:

"If you like this workout X, check out workout Y on page XX" giving the consumer suggestions on which workouts are generally the same formats.

Often, when rotations or mish-moshes are put up (but mostly rotations) people ask for substitutions because they may not have the suggested disc or they may have just done the suggested disc too much recently. Also, some consumers like a specific format and want more of it. This might be a way to get them more info on similar workouts.

I'm not sure how to word this but maybe a listing of what muscles are used or focused on more in the workout. For some workouts it is obvious - Gym Style Chest & Triceps for example. There seem to be a lot of queries here on the forums about what muscles are used in the Kickboxing workouts. Also, another question I've seen is whether Drill Max is really shoulder focused enough to count as a shoulder workout. It would be helpful to know for those who are making their own rotations or who want hit a body part more than once a week etc. Even for the leg workouts it would be good to know which leg muscles are being utilized more than others or if they are all being worked about the same.

I hope this made some sort of sense?!?!?:)

Chart that points you to workouts categorized. For example along the side:

Circuit workout
Step workout
Non step cardio
Combo cardio
Weights only workout
Upper body
Lower Body
Endurance
Low Impact
Stretch
Core Only
Premixes Included

then along the top all the workouts and then you add a check mark where column and row entries match.

Running time for the premixes and equipment used on them.

Since I can only exercise for 60 to 70 min max, I will be doing alot of the premixes on the new DVD's.

Thanks for asking. Colleen:+

Maybe sample rotations for all levels of fitness so that customers are more informed about how they can use the workouts they intend to buy?

Suggestion: Can you please categorize each cardio workout if it has complex choreography (i.e. complex choreography being more dancy with a lot a lot of turns and pivots around the step) OR moderate/athletic choreography?

I would love to see a contents page. Looking for specific DVD's/exercises would be great if you knew what page to look it up.

I love the suggestions already mentioned. I hope you allow for all of them.

What great news - I love Cathe catalogs!! I would like to see a break down of each workout (time of warm up, time of cardio, time of cool down, etc) and suggest updating a few of the times you've listed in the past. For example, the time listed for Circuit Max's warm up has been incorrect, etc.

I also like the suggestion of equipment needed.

Thanks again!!!

I would like to see the workout listed with the DVD cover shot & workout pic, title, type of workout, equipment needed and running time (of course the pricing should be included in this information). Under the title information, I would like to see the chapter breakdowns with the time of each segment. If the workout includes premixes and or combos it would be nice to see the titles and running times listed.

As far as workout descriptions, I would like to see a quick reference comparison in the back or front of the catalogue. Cathe once posted a list of her weight workouts with a brief description of each workout/series that really summed up the design of the workout.

I thought this summary was very useful for a quick overall comparison between weight workouts. I think it would be helpful to do something similar for cardio and cardio & weights. You could list the different workouts under a listed category (WEIGHT WORKOUTS: total body, split series, CARDIO & WEIGHTS: circuit, CARDIO: steady state. kickbox & interval) and give a brief description of the design and use for the workouts. These brief summaries may help in choosing a workout to buy or to use in a rotation.

I got long winded but ‘tis the Holidays and I’ve been making out one too many wish lists.

Thank you for asking,
jordan :D :D :D

I have all the DVD's, so I use the catalog to put together segments of various workouts together. I really use the title and chapter info of each segment, and would like to see that in the catalog as well as on-line. For every workout.

Thanks for asking, and happy holidays!

Sorry, but I'm back with another little tid bit. It may be frivolous but what about including the abbreviations of the workout titles. Sometimes when people are lurking about the forum for information they are confused by the abbreviations. It might be helpful to include the titles as seen on the forum.

okay I'm slinking out,
jordan

There are some great suggestions here. I especially like the idea of categorizing the workouts by type; and listing premixes and a breakout of each premix with equipment used and running times (which you usually do for the filmed version). For exercises with weights, maybe even consider including the amount of weight that Cathe uses.

Sample rotations would be useful but instead of listing the exact workout title, perhaps use the type of workout it is (circuit, total body weight training, steady state cardio, etc) instead so people could pick and choose their own workout using the category type.

The options and features available on the dvd should be included by each dvd workout description (chaptering, mix and match, audio selections, etc.). Then include a dvd user reference page somewhere describing these different options and features. These options certainly make your dvd’s stand out from competitors and offers variety to your customers so a “what it is” and “how to use it” reference guide would definitely be helpful.

Thanks for asking your customers for input!
